I rank this as one of my favorite songs now and it's great to hear background info on this song and who was playing and/or involved with putting this song together. Thanks!
Back in 1980, I went to visit a friend that had this album. I heard "Stomp" played on the radio. Unfortunately, these guys couldn't compete with the music that out at the time.
Funky groovy disco sound!! Great clip too! Well known song that could have been Kool & the gang , Chic or Average White Band but all good !! Quincy Jones sure left his mark
I remember this one! Nice bass and synth break in the middle. Here's a real unique one for Dave to react to. I honestly don't know what he'll make of this. Its a hypnotic tune with some eclectic instrumentation from the alt band, The Weather Station. The tune is robber ruclips.net/video/OJ9SYLVaIUI/видео.html
Quincy jones introduced the brothers johnson to the world
Quincy at the top of his game here. The kick sound on this track is pretty much perfect.
This is a Quincy Jones production

Penned by Rod Temperton of Thriller, Yah Mo B There and Thriller. Produced by Quincy Jones. Louis Johnson was a pioneer on that funky slap bass.
