only complaint i have about this is the thorns really just look like regular floors/walls/ceiling, they really don't pop out at all. besides that, it's all great, i love it >:)

A few things I noticed The double jump no longer dips, making many sections (at least look) way easier The claw seems super clingy, it’s almost as good as the C.dash at sticking you to the wall C.dash seems to charge way faster and move way faster And I think the knight is smaller then originally, but I could be crazy Otherwise this is a super clean remake, and I’m kinda sad you never got hit, cuz I’m curious what the hitboxes on the saws were like, cuz in HK, they give some crazy leeway, but I have a hunch they don’t here
The saws to me weren't too different from the original, during my practice. There wasn't anything major to notice when it came to the hitbox of the saws alone. What was interesting, tho, is that sometimes the interaction between your dash and the surface of the saw becomes very... fascinating.

I don't know if that's an unpopular opinion, but I LOVE the animation! The way the Knight moves looks extremely fun, kinda stilted and goofy, and simultaneously extremely responsive. I'm probably gonna give this a try, thanks for showing it off!!
Good question! It's... not really the same, the controls are a bit more snappy, and there are sections of the gauntlet where it's not proportionally alike. There are also some small bugs that make you seem to have invincibility? Mess around a bit with it and you'll find out Overall, it's not a perfect game, but as someone's FIRST EVER game project? Does that crystal dash pause once you enter a new room, or did you pause it at that exact point? otherwise the movement abilities (to my non-path-of-pain-trained eyes) look really similar to hollow knight's, apart from being less animated. super cool!

Personally I feel like it's easier because the thorns don't have janky twists and turns. Just straight lines
