Good morning. I was wondering if you’ve given any thought to having ornamental concrete/stone benches, much like your fountains, around the Hartley? Seems iron would get very hot in the sun and upkeep on the metal would be ongoing. Just a thought! Your flower shed is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Just love it when you take us along on your journey. The Hartley gardens are going to be beautiful. ❤️
Regarding the interior flower shed walls, you might consider using a paint wash. It's a good medium between paint and the wood. Opaque enough to hide the orange, but sheer enough to show the wood grains.

On the new patio if you put a raised bed you should put in some sort of evergreen as the centerpiece then at Christmas Aaron could put lights on it and y’all can decorate it. Imagine Benjamin and Samantha walking out to see a huge Christmas tree on their patio.

Hey Laura here's an IDEA... You can take that gorgeous green vintage print, thick paper, glue it smooth and tight to a large sheet of Luanne (thin wood), frame with a neutral
color to match the chairs, hang between the 2 cupboards, then... inside you can randomly, hang tilted framed small photos, more colorful of maybe memorable moments
of the children in the flower gardens, cats and / or photos of the cutting flower gardens, progressing over the years. I would make the vintage green paper as large as you
can possibly get it ! Kind of a really neat focal point and bring about some neat conversations and share time with all who enter in. Blessings from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania !

Laura, you have a real gift for landscaping. Like if you all ever decided to stop this channel for whatever reason, I can totally see you being a full-time landscape designer. You understand a land's layout and how to bring out the best of it; you understand systems that have to work within a design (construction, irrigation, technical issues, materials), and you're able to visualize all of it, and not a lot of people can do that. And obviously you know gardening as well which is the other key component of being a great landscape designer. The Hartley is looking beautiful and will look great when you complete all of your landscaping plans (very nice!) and I'm so happy you did that sweet floral arrangement. That's another gift you have. I LOVE your floral arrangements! Thanks for sharing all you do with us. Stay cool if you can and have a blessed day.

Wow, I love the sink and counter top - absolutely stunning. And the shed, it looks fantastic. I agree, I'd probably paint the wood too given the look you're going for in there.

Hi Laura, Your vision is beautiful! There is a lovely balance of flow and symmetry, with so much interest in each garden room. I feel it is sometimes hard to convey what a creator sees in their mind, but you did a fabulous task of it. Looking forward to the development and adjustments as you make progress on your design.
PS: Just a couple of tiny suggestions for your flower shed, which I hope are in line with your vision: have you thought about “white washing” your walls in your colour of choice - that way you will keep some of the beautiful veins of the wood and achieve a softer look you need in photos. The wallpaper is beautiful. Once the walls are painted, you can always line the back of your armoires with the wallpaper and it will still feature beautifully in this room.

so many awesome projects going. can't wait to see the structure around the Hartley go in this fall.
I would do a soft spring green in the cut flower shed. it would be beautiful and have a calming cooling effect. it would also be much better for filming.

Good morning. Just a thought. How about white washing the wood in the cut flower shed. It would tone down the orange wood color but you would still be able to see the grain of the wood.

Oh my goodness, I got my coffee and watched this video. Then got a second cup of coffee and watched it again! This video made me so happy. I loved peaking over your shoulder as you went through your plans going forward. The cut flower shed is going to serve you so well. And when you said that you were going to paint it, I was saying, “yes yes, paint it soft green.” My husband in the other room hollers, “ who are you talking to?” I walk through my garden every morning. But not before I watch you in your garden. Thank you thank you much for all of your videos. I have learned so much, and gotten so many ideas from you. Watching you and Aaron along with the kids truly living life in the garden makes my heart sing.

Love, love, love all of this! It’s really starting to look great. A couple of ideas for the shed - maybe a small glass front fridge for cold drinks. And a small enclosed set of doors/cabinet on the back of the shed to store tools? Finally, maybe consider cutting a small door on the back wall somewhere for easy access to the back of the shed so you don’t have to always walk around. Just some thoughts.

A secret door maybe? Use one of the hutches and hinge it...

Consider an epoxy paint for your concrete floor. Will repel stains, easy to clean, and attractive !
