Gary Melton is a former U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret, Weapons Sergeant, and Sniper Team Leader with 4 combat tours. He has worked full time as a Unit Chief and Special Tactics Instructor at a federal agency, and is the owner and Lead Instructor for Paramount Tactical Solutions.

Gary, I appreciate you getting that put on for me, being able to swing it out of the way to clean it will be a game changer, additionally now I have more room in the case for additional items. Just my experience with the D5P, the bolt does have some play, that's an effort by DD to allow it to be fired in all conditions (sandy), and after putting the first 50 rounds through the rifle, I have never had an issue. Looking forward to getting back out to Paramount Tactical in 2024, take care Brother, DOL. Please extend my thanks to haji (Chris) as well.

I would love to see your thoughts on the MPA PMR updates, with the "American Rifle Company/MPA branded" updated actions and MPA's Bixen-Andy trigger. I am assuming they are awesome, but I would love to see a video with your review and impressions.

So you can't show installing this adapter but Brownells/midways channel can show complete gunsmithing videos where they are literally manufacturing firearms/parts of firearms? I feel like there might need to be some questions asked to youtube since it seems like it's not a complete ban on modifying/constructing firearms.
I had a fit putting this on. Mine was locked up and I had to put a gallon(exaggerating but a lot) of wd40 on it basically to loosen it. I had a fit taking off the existing stock. It was a horrible experience and does not fold well still. Love the rifle overall. Also I ordered LRA level from y'all and your wife was super helpful and called me and worked on it since it was available but the 90 degree mount was not and she sent the level first so we had it for Christmas.
I would contact DD. I have no affiliation but I think they’re a solid company. I’d be willing to bet they’d send you a replacement if yours isn’t working properly.
Did you get your 90 mounts? I know we finally got a shipment in literally today that we have had into MDT for months. If you haven’t received yours yet, I’m sure Summer got yours in the mail today or first thing tomorrow.

@@chrisdrinerI have a number of DD and have had some warranty work done, they have fixed or replaced any issues with zero cost to me. I'd reach out to their customer service in and email and the follow up with a call, usually you will be able to speak directly with an armor who will trouble shoot it over the phone before having you ship it back to DD. Again, they paid for everything and I had my MK18 back in 9 days from the date shipped.
@@jeffhahn5106 I consider taking it to them I live in Georgia not too far from them and that’s where I actually picked up my rifle as my cousin works for them and I even met the armor while I was there so I’m sure I could get it worked on if it continues to be a problem
Gary, any thoughts on how to make the bolt on the DD5 Pro run better? I have a new one and the action runs very hard. Thanks!
Like as in it’s not cycling? There’s some slop in the bolts but I don’t have an issue with a little slop as long as I can run it fast and it cycles properly. My personal D5P runs perfectly.

@@paramounttactical My bolt is not smooth which forces me off the scope. Cycling takes a lot of force to run the bolt. I initially had some issues with the OEM Magpul mags but that was resolved with AI ones.

Zero play in the stock, but LOTS of slop & play in the bolt when it's open. Daniel Defense needs to do better...

Your comment about RUclips I had to think about for a while I believe in the Constitution I believe in the bill of rights I believe in the Second Amendment hi I support gun owners I’m a gun owner. I watch RUclips quite a bit and I see a demolition ranch midway, USA Brownell‘s host of other large companies have videos on RUclips about gun modifications, 22 puncture. there’s a bunch of people on RUclips that are doing good and videos that show modifications. I just watched one on Franklin armory’s binary trigger on the install so you must be singled out because if your attitude I’m sure not gonna watch it anymore.
I talk to several other channels and they experience the same thing. We’ve also discussed and observed the double standard that clearly exists for larger channels. Smaller channels are low hanging fruit. YT got really oppressive for 2A channels about a year ago. Several channels suddenly got strikes and had content removed even though the videos didn’t violate terms. Even this video was demonetized which means it gets suppressed by the algorithm.
Channels that have 1M subscribers have YT handlers that the channel can communicate and deconflict issues with but they clearly are allowed to show things smaller channels would get completely removed for.
This is in part because those videos are automatically flagged and demonetized by an algorithm. You can then request a human review but again, even when you have went out of your way to stay within YTs rules, the video gets demonetized because YT employees are leftists that don’t like the 2A.
It’s more than that though, YT is a leftist propaganda network that intentionally suppresses conservative voices, channels and causes. Look what they did during Covid. If you had any opinion outside of mainstream medical talking points you got banned or removed. This included medical doctors that specialized in virology and scientists that literally developed mRNA treatments.
YT is pushing and incentivizing certain narratives while suppressing and penalizing others.
