Sound Symposer Delete & BOV Hack!!! (Focus ST)

- I installed a symposer delete on my 2015 focus ST and routed my vacuum lines to true vacuum, which made my BOV sound and preform so much better! It's super easy to do and 100% recommended, all you need is a ported symposer delete kit, some vacuum line and a package of vacuum caps.

Awesome video and great step by step install!
Sick shades 😎
Put vipers FTW!!!
Great video how-to! Hope you can share all the hardware you used for this mod. Thanks!
My Fist BOV only goes off if I am under big boost, usually around 2500 - 3000 rpm. The rest of the time I get flutter which sounds amazing. It's a turbo smart BOV set to soft setting.
did you notice a huge loss in boost
So if you're pulling from a true vac source, how is the boost response? I know on the cruze 1.4ltr when you divert the turbo to true vac it's boost is more constant, and doesn't fluctuate.... Just wondering
You can actually pop off that tube on the firewall. The little cap fits the hole there. Looks way better. Might take a bit to push it in, but it should get rid of that tube. Just makes it look like there was nothing there in the first place. Plus one less obstruction if you ever need to stick your hands behind your engine.
Does this fix the constant blow off on cruise control and steady pedal acceleration? Mine goes duhf duhf duhf constant at steady foot pressure ! 😮💨
what size hose did u say doing this in a week or so please thanks sir
7:10 Can confirm. My Boomba is crazy. lol It's fun to scare people while going through tunnels though!
Interesting and thanks. New owner. Not sure yet about symposer delete - is there a way to do the "boomba mod" leaving the symposer in place? I spoke with another owner recently who said that after he deleted the symposer he got an EVAP code(?)
The bottom splash guard I took that crap off because I can't stand if you drop a tool and it falls down there... lol
if u take the sound defending foam out and get a good intake you’ll hear it flutter like crazy
what foam location are you talking about? like the firewall area? Mine flutters a decent amount with a symposer delete to turbo-smart BOV and a Depo intake. It could be louder though cause I love the sound. (no its not compressor surge and not when i'm on the throttle. (before people tell me flutter is bad- its not- only in some circumstance's that I said before.))
2jr intake is the best sound
@@vextitan2856 On the Focus its normal at ranges between 1-4 psi of boost. It _is_ surge but doesn't appear to cause any issues with STs.
Now, if you flutter at 16 psi you might run into some issues lol
is that a mini american sheppard aka mini assie?
What bov?
How can I do this if my bov is routed to my symposer delete? It still goes off constantly.
Adjust the top so it requires more boost in the compression side to make the bov dump air
Wait so do you have RPF1’s on it? If so can you give the specs
I’m so sorry I’m so late, the wheel specs are 18x9.5 +38 and 18x10.5 +15 the only way to fit these would be with wide body of course since you’d need adapters as well.
Any power gains from this?
Hey brother, sorry I haven’t been on in a long time as you have probably seen. Not any noticeable power gains but it’s certainly sounds a heck of a lot better.
What exhaust do you have installed?
Sorry I’m just seeing this, it’s just a muffler and resonator delete.
@@taylorhanzelka5310 it sounds great mate! I recently bought one and am deciding which way to go with exhaust at the moment on a limited budget.
My blow off valve is stock and sounds quiet just like the mod. I guess just don't touch it lol
Definitely get a atmosphere bov they sound sick!
@@taylorhanzelka5310 I realize the sound will be better but I've read that the diverter valve shouldn't be replaced with an atmospheric one? The throttle response could suffer? I don't really know. This is my first turbo vehicle and I'm just getting into modding. Don't want to mess anything up.
@@ADDwithJTC just get a turbo smart kompact BOV and do the thing he shows with a symposer delete.
@@vextitan2856 I will definitely do it in the spring when I recover from surgery.
@@ADDwithJTC with the stock ko3 the atmospheric bov won't hurt throttle response at all, now when you step the turbo up to a bigger one, yeah it will hurt a little bit, but no more noticeable then what it would be with out an aftermarket bov 🤷
Look a little low on coolant there....
I hope he's not on level ground or something. That's never a good sign. Good eye lol
I caught it too. It`s a common thing in ST`s. Fortunately in most cases it`s leaking problem. 2.0 in Escapes does have gasket issues because it is not the same 2.0 EcoBoost.
Nothing similar for RS ???
Them crocs tho.
Gotta keep it classy lol
Sounded better before you did the mod
