Fiago, those are not ultras, they are called "grada de animación" which are basically fans who cheer on the team.
Madrid and Barcelona have those fans, because in 2009 both Florentino and Laporta banned the real ultras, ultra sur by Madrid, and Boixos Nois by Barça

El Clasico always has been, and will continue to be a great rivalry. But I think Messi and Ronaldo's presence inflated people's perception of the rivalry, and now that they're gone a lot of people lost interest. But that doesn't make the rivalry between the two teams any less intense.
The moment people started supporting players such as messi and ronaldo over the teams it was ruined

Now to add some context. The reputation for the Camp Nou and Bernabeu being almost silent stadiums is close to reality much to my dismay. Of course ticket prices not being cheap and tourist presence makes it difficult to get an atmosphere going. For El Clasico and the local derbies everything changes, truly nothing unites people more than a common enemy😆
For the ultras part that you mentioned ,the real ultras of barca were called boixox nois who were banned by Laporta during his first presidential term as they became too violent and racist. And that section of fans with flags is called ‘Grada d’Animació’ (the animation tier) which was created in 2016.It does not have typical ultras which you might find in PSG or clubs of Germany but it does have groups of fans who do really a great job to cheer the team with clubs anthems and waving flags.Lastly flares are banned in clubs of Spain.
Yeah makes sense. But flares are also banned in pretty much any country, also in Germany. Still almost every game has flares, the diehard fans always find a way

The clásicos 30 years ago hit different... I'm actually worried about Spanish football. No matter how strong Real Madrid is holding the league up in Europe, eventually they will fall off. After that, Oil moguls will own the country like the rest of Europe
Maybe not bernabeu will generate alot of money after renovations hopefully camp nou too, then these clubs would be able to spend more in transfer market

Im from Norway 🇳🇴. You have one of the best youtube channels out there❤. I think the Ronaldo-Messi rivalry made the modern el clasico what it is. I was actually at the camp nou on the 29th of October in 2019 when Barca played against Real Valladolid. Barcelona won 5-1, and obviously that little dude from Argentina played that day. 2 goals and 2 assists. I feel blessed to have seen my favorite team in Spain, Barcelona obviously, and my favourite player, the little argentinian dude, Messi , play football. Me and my dad was at the game and we sat really high at the stadium on the long side across the tribune where the bench is. Even was on a stadium tour, the day after, i believe. It was honestly a crazy experience. Saw a young ansu fati that day aswell. It was the 2019-20 season by the way. I have seen halaand and Ødegaard for Norway, Bruno Fernandes, David de gea and Christian Eriksen and Luis Suarez and Messi. I even saw Luis Suarez , Arturo Vidal and lenglet score against Valladolid that day aswell. All im gonna say is Messi was really good and even better than i tought he was . By that i mean, watching Messi play was magical and knowing it was 90 minutes i hoped i would get something out of that game. Like i said i wasnt left empty handed of experience that day. And that was honestly probably one of Messi' best games of his career. Actually i believe messi got his hundred 10/10 match rating of his career After that match. At least he has about 120 10/10 match ratings as of this year, i believe . And it was probably one of his 300 motm awards also. But either way im glad i got to see Messi at his best. Because i have read other fans of Messi and barca being at a Barca game where Messi played but didnt registered a goal or an assist. Which i honestly feel is sad although it was obviously still a Barcelona game, but i get that it can be hard obviously. Either way, i feel blessed to have been part of that experience ❤. As a Barça fan, I'm glad you experienced a Clasico, but please, never come again at the Camp Nou (for being a RM lucky charm). And yeah, we're really loud and insult pretty quickly, but, it's kind of a game, like venting all the frustrations of the month insulting that (other team) player or the referee, but oddly there's no phisical conflicts.
PD: Not really ultras, they're called "grada d'e animacion" which roughly translates as "animation stand". Which are associations of fans that specifically chant throughout the game.

By the way, I think youre channel has alot of potenial by the way. I think being a youtuber like any other job is difficult because there is always changes in the industry. Thats why content creation is a very important thing. By the way if you want to know my football geography, im from a small town in Norway called Fredrikstad , basically it's an hour drive away from oslo. We have a club called Fredrikstad Football Club, and recently we had a 120th year anniversary aswell, 7th of april. The club was founded in 1903. So basically if you ever come to Norway maybe you could catch a game here😂😂😂, nah, just kidding, i wish though, it would have been great . But on a more serious note, Fredrikstad FC, basically is one of the most succesful clubs in norwegian history, being second in terms of league titles only behind Rosenborg and joint third or second in national cups. The only thing is that we are now playing in the second tier in norwegian football. But i still hope we can get back to the highest division again,, which is the highest division in Norway obviously, Eliteserien. I even think fans of other norwegian clubs fans have said that they miss Fredrikstad at the top level. Which in my opinion speaks volumes of the club. I think even other fans in Norway forget how good Fredrikstad was back in the day. Basically to give you a short overview of the clubs history. Basically from the 30s when the national league was established till the mid 80s, Fredrikstad Fc was always playing in the top division. Especially from the 30s to the early 70s i believe and some separate years after that. Basically the clubs golden era as a whole, at least in norwegian football was from mid 1940s till mid 1960s i believe. And in european football, in the 50s and 60s basically. The most famous year for the club was basically in the 1960-61 season, where they also won the league and was the last time they have won the league till now. But basically the club played in that era's champions league. And we had two games against a very strong Ajax side, where johan cruyff would make his debut a few years later by the way. Home game in Fredrikstad went down as a 4-3 victory and i believe we drew against Ajax in Amsterdam. Then we lost in the next round against danish side afk, i believe they are called. We could potenially have played against Benfica, yes, THAT Benifca, with eusebio. And maybe even real madrid although that might seem really unrealisitic. But a side note about that, is that Moss fc, another team in our region of the country, actually played against both real madrid and Bayern Munch in the 80s. And another solid german team at the time. But back to Fredrikstad, even one of our star players, Bjørn borgen, Thought about the idea of playing against real Madrid at that time,if they progressed, but obviously that didnt happen. But considering we beat maybe one of the top 20 clubs in europe at the time. Maybe we could have progressed to meet Benfica. Anyways i wanted to share this , because i really love my local club and i believe they deserve some of the spotlight . I still think we made an insane achievement beating Ajax at that time which was still a considerable decent sized club in europe and almost playing against Benfica at their height.🇧🇻❤😊 by the way sorry for long comment and good night😂😊

I've been to both Spotify Camp Nou and the Santiago Bernabeu a handful of times, entertaining football for sure, but the crowds were better even in Florida and California, not to mention Eastern Europe. Since I'm from Saudi Arabia I always thought that Spanish football was massive because of Barcelona vs Madrid, but it's really not.

In hindsight, it was better that you decided to visit the spanish one this time, and did the dutch one earlier. 💀Really managed to avoid a bullet with those two orders. Madrid's comeback was absolutely beautiful to see happen live instead, though. Especially brutal with how Barcelona talked about trying to "make an example" out of Real Madrid with the second leg.
