Older women can be quite beautiful. Sarah was still beautiful when she was 89 years old. I believe that account is in Genesis chapter 20.
I know a 57 year old woman who is still very beautiful. I’m confident that she will still be just as beautiful at 70 and beyond.
It depends on the woman of course (genetics, lifestyle etc) but although time does change the way a woman looks it doesn’t necessarily diminish her beauty.

@@cbigg81 "Zeitgeist" is the "spirit of the age". So it's all about what does the spirit of the age say as opposed to what the Spirit of God says. And the spirit of this age overwhelmingly says "anything is true if you believe that it is true". That's what all this boils down to. "Trust your heart" and statements of that ilk mean that it doesn't matter what anyone else including parents, friends, observable reality might say - your truth is more true simply because you believe it.

I've read "Another Gospel?" probably 3 or 4 times now, usually back to back with "Reasonable Faith" by William Lane Craig, and it's just so good. It tackles so much of the "Christian" disinformation promulgated by the woke church. The icing on the cake was when I started reading some critical examinations of Marxism (specifically "Marxism: Philosophy and Economics" by Thomas Sowell) and really starting to connect some of those dots... that this is a Marxist take-over of Christianity, and it falls on us as believers to strengthen not only our faith, but also our reason through which we more deeply understand our faith. I feel like every church in the country needs Apologetics classes to help equip their congregation with the tools required to face the world, and understand how to use the "full armor of God" that Ephesians tells us to put on.

    • @yamahajapan5351

I believe you have value that is equal to mine and everyone else's and that it is derived from an uncaused and non derivative source who determines what is the correct way for the derivative creatures to live. We need to be able to live with each other and have civil discourse on issues on which we disagree. Otherwise, there would only be an echo chamber of our own preferences.

A more generous interpretation of Kung Fu Panda is that Po is already ordained and called as the dragon warrior, and simply needs to trust that he has already been given all the tools he needs to overcome the challenge. I think it is a good movie, a good symbol, and open to interpretation. Which way is valid? Who knows.

    • @b_korthuis
      @b_korthuis Год назад +4

Zeitgeist! (that was a reference to one of the other posts on this video)
The problem with that thinking is that it falls into the progressive view that there is no truth ; or at least one that can be known. If Po had been through years of training, your interpretation could be a valid one. However Po did not have years or even months of training. It could be argued he didn't even have weeks of training. So the message pushed by the movie is not "your training is enough and you are ready" but "you are enough and you are ready". To further back this up, the movie is based on Taoist beliefs that the universe gives you the skills and abilities you will need and puts you in the right place at the right moment you will be needed with those skills and abilities. Po wasn't the dragon Master because he was good at Kung fu but because his history had given him the mindset he needed and he was fat and therefore immune to Tai Lung's paralysis attacks. This made him the ONLY warrior who could go toe to toe with Tai Lung. The dragon scroll represents the Taoist view that Po is enough for the situation and the universe has put him there at the moment he is needed.

For one thing, I stopped giving to the church, and kept the money for myself, to spend on me and my loved ones. I've also become more empathetic to others; the poor, minorities like foreigners and LGBT. In fact I'm giving more to real good causes now eg Unicef than I ever did as a church goer, contributing to religious schemes which even supported child abuse
I have realised thru research that Jeesus is a man-made invention and that the religion around it is big business which keeps a whole bunch of clergy and others in jobs - at my expense, and telling me I'm a sinner or whatever, whilst never looking at themselves and their own "sins"
The biggest scam/ grift seems to be those god-botherers who start their own channels on the internet, write books, go on speaking tours and the like - in the process making money off the vacuous masses

I've been studying the Bible for 61 years and I would not I mean it I would not train up my child in the Bible until they got into high school and then I would teach them all about religions and history and everything in context and then I would show them all the wars created by religions and people that knew and thought that they knew what it meant and so forth and so forth. When you realize that you don't know everything about everything it's humbling and you still can be a Christian and you still can be believing in God and you still can believe that Jesus existed You can believe a lot of things but the cram this ideologies that's twisted and fascist that is on the Alicia Childers and try to teach children to hate their LGBT self that's a sin and that's a sin if you want to call it a sin but it's wrong morally and it didn't take church for me to know So we're praying for y'all in Texas. 🌈🙏😇

When I hear someone criticize God wanting you to be happy, I always think what is your message? That God wants you to be miserable. Really? When a fruit of the Spirit is joy? Isn't that true happiness? Sin is misery. Christ is life and truth.
She has a Calvinist message. Christ did not come to condemn, because the world is already condemned. Geez. Its like good God, bad God, with Jesus and the Father, isn't it? The illogical nature of these theologies is horrible. And I agree that "your own truth" is a lie. But we are not called to worm theology.

If a church is preaching a different gospel, wouldn't it be more accurate to call them regressive, rather than progressive.

Jeremiah verse is misapplied. That verse applies to the heart and state of Israel. Yes we do as unbelievers have the same heart before salvation. Yes we were sinners and Jesus died for that sin. Claiming to have the same spiritual condition after salvation is in error. Having been saved, transformation through sanctification overtime by the application of the Gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit unto obedience to the new covenant under the law of Christ - the Commandments to love God and your neighbor becomes the lens to see life through. Babylon Bee... Maybe interview Ray Comfort sometime. Talk to him about the Prince Charles controversy. That would be interesting.

The majority of people really believe in God, they even know thy are sinners.
They are just living in a materialistic world that satisfies them on the spot, therefore they become deniers to satisfy their selfishness.

Well , not only is it not widely accepted anymore that we're all sinners, but with all of the entitlement, it's taken for granted that God, if He does love us as they've heard, is full of grace and mercy, and esp. if He even died to pay for all sin, then of course all they have to do is die and show up in heaven. Forget actually wanting to listen to how God himself says to receive His gift ( with humility and true surrender), forget actually wanting to spend eternity with God on the throne and ourselves not the center of our universe.. maybe God will vacation a lot and we'll have the place to ourselves ! That's the general attitude which people don't really think about, realize they have probably. Understandable, if you're not raised to think about it, or to revere God or His word, or understand why God would deserve to be worshipped above all, and obeyed, but sad. These attitudes/beliefs have long been around tho, it's just that there had been a LOT of real, Christian revival going on in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and now we're a long ways the other way again. A lot of ignorance, on the heals of a lot of shallow and traditional but not necessarily truly heartfelt Christianity. A lot of more-dead-than-alive &/or man-centered denominations or congregations. A lot of kids raised to not even know what it's all about or why or the holes in what's being taught in school, like the theory of evolution. For more on Creation and why it matters, and true Scientific research and facts, go to ICR.org. Answers in Genesis is ok too, in particular I recommend the series on genetics research by Nathaniel Jeanson, on their RUclips channel. Scroll down their list of playlists, look for his name or "the new History of the human race" . And remember - God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" even tho many will reject Him. Often, that rejection LOOKS like unfortunate ignorance - and WE can't know, so by all means, educate, inform (appropriately, humbly, gently)- but it's actually their rejection of even being led down the path of knowing God as their Lord and Savior. Of even "receiving the love of truth" etc. .
Also, as far as witnessing about us being sinners and Jesus dying for us, I personally am not all for trying to make a case of us deserving hell, and that's what Jesus died to save us from. While it's what the facts have turned out to be, as that's the alternative now, to me, the Bible does not seem to say that's how it was when this was all began. Since Adam's fall, we - mankind- are lost and dying and without any fix. No new body, no holy souls to commune with our God as we were created to do, no new planet to live on. Just that oft-mentioned "outer darkness" would be our fate, along with our guilt, shame, and existing under the righteous condemnation of God. Basically hell, just no fire or extra torment. Maybe punishments, idk. . Hell was made for Satan and his angels, not man, the Bible says. BUT NOW, that we have SO GREAT a Savior, Jesus who went through all He did, so self-sacrificially so we could be redeemed and have utter delight and true, in fact even closer than b4, communion with God, forevermore instead of that suffering, horrible existence.... . NOW, those who see fit to reject HIM, and THAT, can go to hell too, apparently. That's what I see in the Bible, all-together. Either way, I don't see trying to convince people who barely see their sin, to accept that we were all "deserving hellfire" so Jesus had to die to save us from that. It's too distracting and it's only as we get to know God, walk with Him and His word in our lives awhile, maturing, that we understand the depths of our corruption, and our fleshly affinity for it (!), and the difference between us and holiness. BUT always listen to the Holy Spirit's leading, above anything I say !!!!!! And be in prayer and the Word !
