Just an FYI- your record breaker Eddie Murphy card that you pulled early 8n the video was an error card. Enjoyed your video. I’ve just ordered a box of 1988 and am looking to opening it.
Even though 88 Topps is everywhere I cannot simply turn down a good Box of 88 Topps! I opened one up last year and pulled about 1-2 Glavine Rookies (One had some stains on the back but still awesome shape)!
So true! It’s super nostalgic and fun to rip old boxes of wax. Sometimes you pull some cool stuff like those Glavine’s! You can usually get these boxes pretty cheap.
I have the McGwire record-breaker card with the white triangle at his foot (like yours). Google that error card and see the crazy high prices people are asking.
That’s crazy! I had no idea! I should go back and see if I can find it! Prices are all over.. I’m seeing some people are asking a few hundred for a PSA 10 and PSA is labeling it as White Triangle By Left Foot… pretty cool! Thanks for letting me know!
MJR, Hope you had a great start to your week, This time is 1988 awesome. Great Rips, Lots of awesome cards, I love the layout and design of this set. Lots of great rookies, HOF's and team stars. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
I have a box-set of 1987 Topps cards?! Also some 1500 other junk-wax, bubble gum era cards? Looking to sell...good shape....none verified by any authority. Could be a sleeper?
@@johnbradford4715 Hey John! Thanks for the question! There’s a much longer answer to this but I’ll keep it simple since you’re just starting out. So rookie cards as usually the most sought after but with the addition of numbered cards, autographs, short prints… I would say it truly depends on the player but many cards that are not rookie cards can still be worth a very good amount.
I been collecting baseball cards since the early 1970’s the better the 1980’s cards rookies only if the was great at the game worth after you get them graded I been getting my collection for years
Hey all in this 1988 set I found a curt stillwell card with the blurry front picture but it also has a blank back? Does any one know anything about this card
@@mjrsportscards it’s just funny that the one with the blank back doesn’t have any record that I can find, and I don’t have the knowledge on cards if that means it collectible or not . Thanks for the reply
@@dw6275 if I were you I would for sure look it up but if you don’t happen to find anything it’s probably because it was an error card and I believe that cards with blank backs by mistake are not cards that psa would grade but I could be wrong.
I think you’re right! I remember seeing something like that when we were going through it. It’s been a while know so I don’t remember exactly but I definitely remember something like that for sure!
@@mjrsportscards 1985.........No actually early morning downtown SF " hey-ron " time this character came through sick and gave up Darryl Strawberry rookie, Willie Mays topps card #3, and a Willie Stargell.
I bought this box at a flee market the other day. I decided to open it today and I pulled 2 Tom glavine rookie cards from it, I was so excited of that
