I have a lot of hair like you. When I don’t feel like doing my hair after I wash it (I usually wash it in my natural mini braids or twists) I separate them down the middle of my head and corn row each side back and braid all the way down to the end then I tuck the ends of the braids at the top of the opposite braid to look like a crown. It keeps my hair styled and off of my clothes so my ends don’t break off. Then after a week I have a braid out on braids or twists.
Sometimes you just gotta take some time off. I actually need to wash my hair today and I’m braiding it back down. This will be week 3 of 4 with the mini braids in my head and the 3rd wash.
@@crownofglory6071 oh perfect! Yeah you can braid them down into a crown and just leave them. That will stretch the ends out to keep them from knotting on themselves it will reduce the frizz if you do it after washing them or after wetting them and then just tie it up in a scarf. I promise it is a game changer and it makes taking the braids down simpler
Thnks for beinh so honest. Uv earned yourself anew subscriber. I started the hair growth journey 4yrs ago but my hair feels stanted at one level. Iys not growing at all. I am learning that everytime u moisturise your hair u must retwist it. Iv been moisturing on twists .i have high porosity hair too .its real hard work.
Maybe switching up the style would rejuvenate your feelings about your hair. I know a lot of naturals maintain twists, myself included, and it's GREAT for growing hair. Especially we high porosity hair types that have to moisturize 2-3×/week (eye roll emoji that i can't find right now). Twists make the take down process breakage free. But once in a while, i do some corn rows, and it rocks! I also put beads at the ends of my twists sometimes, and that's beautiful too. Well done! Keep going!
I agree with being tired of the hair not necessarily wanting to put the big “R” back in it because I probably will never do that again but something to manage it and make it easier for the summer for sure….. if I felt like it wasn’t going to erase all of the work and effort that I’ve put into my hair since transitioning to natural from 2011 as well . I definitely understand what you’re saying, if I could just get a routine that would keep my high porosity, thick hair (not as thick as yours) moisturized for at least five days I would be so grateful. 😊👍🏾👍🏾
Your hair is so beautiful 😄💕 and sis I am natural with long thick hair and I totally agree with you so I have been wearing cornrows for some time now and I just take it down to wash and let breathe and put it back up 😂 but I have to start getting back to letting her out it's just alot of work sis 😂 so how did you like the aloe juice for your? I tried it before and it made my hair feel really dried out. They say it has protein in it so maybe that's why Im not sure but I would like to give it another try. Thanks for sharing can't wait for more voids! 😄❤👍
I have a couple of ?s... when you start Moisturizing more than once a week, will you always unravel the twists each session? If i don't unravel my hair will start trying to dread & tangles. 🤦🏽♀️. @@KD-pj8ji thank you for your questions. I do unravel the twists when moisturizing. I wash my hair once every 2 weeks, i do deep condition every wash day & I don’t co wash at all, but i do pre-poo before washing my hair.

*If your hair dries very fast, you need to know your climatic/environmental condition and the state of the health of your hair.* *This could explain the dryness. @@maryearl9331 I'm so sorry I'm just replying. I use the same product for my styles after my regular shampoo and conditioner. Gorgeous hair and twists. On wash day do you allow your hair to dry before installing twists, or do you twist while still wet?
