I would definitely pay the money for the look I desire. We spend so much money each year to find something that works! If you find it keep it. Save you from stress and time. Thanks Jess for sharing !
Right! Sooo much money! And she did say that she didn't feel she used as much of the other gel. And that's usually the case with products that work better and are more expensive - you don't go through it as fast.. Which the price difference here is so great that even using 2 or 3 times as much wouldn't make a difference.. But then there's the product buildup to consider too.. Less product equals less buildup (and everything that comes along with that)..
Both products are completely different to compare them. Nurture is a plant based gel and holds onto the moisture (water) you put in your hair. It’s similar to uncle funky. Eco gel is made of plastic and not the best for your hair in the long term. It just ends up drying up your hair and leave build up. It’s cheap but not the best for the hair. Your hair looks lovely.
It's marketing. The main gelling agent in Nurture (Polyacrylate-14) is not plant-based nor that expensive to produce. It def holds on to moisture better than the carbomer in Eco, but ingredient-wise, it's no "cleaner." Both gelling agents are based on acrylic acid
@@jmichael415 Thanks for your input. Would you happen to have recommendations for gels and creams that's not harsh or too toxic for hair? Thanks again.
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve started making my own hair gel with flaxseed-legitimately gives me the best hold and definition I’ve ever had with a gel-and even after rinsing it out, my hair just feels more fortified overall.
@@christiemosley2796 Well, I've been adding about 1 tbsp each of fenugreek seeds, slippery elm, marshmallow roots (all for extra slippage and additional nutrients) along with 1/3 cup flaxseeds. After it cools and I strain it, I mix in a little honey and a few oils (castor, avocado and vitamin e), for maintaining the moisture properties and sealing. My low-porosity hair is VERY finicky and has never liked store-bought gels, but this gel I can use to set wet or dry hair, and my hair just looks and feels glossier and smoother and thicker. I know I sound like a bad infomercial, but even I was kinda surprised by the results lol. Hope this is helpful!
The trick about the gel definition is the water, I use gel alot, I wash my hair and right after I hurriedly add the gel before it starts to dry out, I always mist it during the process to get it back wet. With all that I always get perfect curls and I only use gel no other products not even after its dry, just water to mist it 3 or 4 days after.
I think she wanted to stay true to how she would do her hair in a real life situation vs a video for her channel. If she isn’t staying true to her real process then how would she personal know which she preferred.
I have learned that it’s more about what the gel is doing for the health of my hair. Eco styler gel may look good/great, however, has chemical components that are damaging to the hair.
Hey Jess, I purchased and used the Nurture gel, however I watched the video from the Hydra Bar Salon RUclips Channel and saw how the owner applied the gel. It’s the July 17, 2021 video. She made sure her hair was soaking wet, sectioned off her hair and again, on soaking wet hair, used the gel that was first emulsified in her hands and applied gel starting at the ends to lock in the water that was dripping and working her way up. She did each section(4-5) then used a wet brush to smooth and detangle hair in smaller sections and racked her fingers through it. Curls poppin. I watched a few times before I did my hair. My hair looked amazing. The curls were poppin even after a week but I wanted to stay on my routine. I purchased the 6 oz, $30 jar, but they now have a 8 oz $45 jar. I used half the product. She says she can get several uses out of it because she knows how to use it properly. I’m no stylist I got two. Even though it was amazing as far as the curls, it was a little bit dry. I have high porosity hair so maybe the next time I can try to use more water. After rewatching one of the videos on the channel I saw that she added more water after applying the gel. So I’ll do that next time. Also, I always sit under the dryer so that my curls will set when I do a WNG. I hope you try again using her method. You will be amazed. I loved it but I would want the 8 oz jar but for $45 I can get at least two 8 oz containers of the other expensive gels I like. I want to use a product more than 2 or three times.
I totally agree with your comment. It seems like a lot of hairdressers in the 🇺🇸 seem to be on the same with doing WnGs. I always did them but never mastered them until I discovered Black Girl Curls. For the first time I started seeing curls from root to tips and no Frizz on my 4b/4c hair! My definition was good on dry WnGs than soaking wet hair. But since I started 'emulsifying, adding gel to ends first to trap all the water, smooth product through to large sections first to keep all that Hydration, then rake in smaller section, my WnGs pop every single time. Also, using the botanical and diffusing my hair, gave me elongation. I tried UFD and coupled with the Innersence I Create Hold???? Perfection. I realised once I got to grips with using these quality products, I only need smaller amounts because my hair is now trained. I did follow the detox whi h I picked up from other YTrs doing it. And I must say, I xant stop loving my hair. I mean, I thought I love it before but I love it even more. I think they have something! I do still use plastic gels but only to lay my hair down in buns etc but I will use a stronger shampoo to get rid of build up. But the botanical are the truth on clarified hair for WnGs because the hair is more accepting of Hydration.
@@christine1962ful My favorite combo is UFD, Obia Naturals Curl Enhancing Custard and I Create Hold on top. Perfection every time. I use Miche Beauty’s Detox shampoo, then Innersence Color safe shampoo, Innersense Hydrating Cream conditioner (everything with loads of water) then my styling products. Heavy with UFD for moisture but the other products light handed adding water as I go. The I Create Hold is concentrated. The water makes it amazing. Loving my hair as well.
@@here2learn737 When I purchased it they didn’t have the 8 oz size. It’s new. I wanted to try. I liked it but I have found my Holy Grails. I’m no longer a product junkie.
I actually didn't see much of a difference between the eco and curl cream vs the $30 one. The $30 one was slightly better but wasn't, wow, super dramatically better. I would just stick with the cheaper stuff.
@key b i don't use gel in my hair, personally. My hair just coils on its own with just regular leave-in. But, It does have frizz...i embrace it 🤷🏾♀️. Only time I try to fight the frizz is the summer time (because ill look like a bird's nest if i dont), then I use a mousse.
I have 3 favorites. Xtreme wetline blue 🔵, African pride gel n' cream, and Garnier fructus pure clean gel depending on the look I'm going for.. I recently bought the African pride aloe gel.... Haven't used it yet because my hair is in the Coi Leray inspired knotless short braids. My hair has a smooth coily / curly average density type. My leave in is Shea moisture JBCO leave in. I'm tired....I found options that work. I like moisturizing lotion style leave in because my hair is fine in texture. My kids say my hair looks like uncooked Ramen Noodles. I prefer a fuller look because my hair is easily defined, the stiffer gel gives me a separated look while medium hold gels that i listed gives me definition but the fullness I like.
@@apara2005 I just don't like the store bought gel feels. I did try a DIY gel and that works enough for me or I use a mousse. Personally some frizz gives body.
I have used Nurture gel 3 times and I like it. I find it works best on soaking wet hair so I usually apply in the shower. The spray bottles never really accomplish that. It is a water locking gel so the more water the better. Also I work up from the ends to the root. Last but not least setting the hair under a hooded dryer until about 50% dry will do wonders. The amount of Plastics in gels like eco styler and wetline makes it a no for me. I just got a taper cut so I'm sure I'll get at least 2-3 more uses of Nurture. Also if you have to use more of a cheaper gel and or another product, it isn't as cheap.
I got my hair done by the Hydro Salon. Amazing results! The results lasted me 3 weeks. They teach you everything. No flaking. I bought the gel and just tried it myself, wish me luck!
I had a similar thought watching this video. I’m like she’s really just sitting in the house talking to herself. I know that’s what the video calls for but it’s funny to think about
I thought everyone did this 🤭 I low key only subscribed because she acts like me when I'm dealing with my hair 🤷🏽♀️ gotta laugh to keep from crying and the shrinkage is real and my hair be having days where it's just TOO disrespectful
I knew the $30 was finna give. I looked for gels with that consistency cause they give me the best results. The main gels I use are the mane choice tropical moringa and the do it fro the culture. They give me bomb results and also has that slimy sticky texture. It gives bomb definition with little to no crunch
In all honesty, I don’t think the $30 gel gave what it should. I think there are cheaper products out there that can give the same or better results. Thanks for the video ❤️
I used to work for Aveda. Which is an expensive hair care line. the one thing that they taught me is to read the directions and to always take the product in your hand and loosen it up first because you don't need as much once it's warm it expands I didn't see you do that and I think if you would have did that the $30 product would have worked much better for you.
You can tell Nurture is a plantbased gel filled with film forming humectants that will encourage hydration. On review there are some ingredients in the formulation that I would question(but I'm not a chemist) Glad you can see the results so clearly. Your hair will continue to behave differently and require less product over time with healthy product practices. :D
Aunt Jackie’s quench and gel is my suppa starr combo, thanks to you! I also water down the quench and carry it a travel spray bottle to fix any frizziness after your recommendation, Jess. My curls are perfection thanks to you!
I always had great definition with Eco. Except for my front (bangs area). I would seriously consider using the $30 gel just for my trouble area and Eco on the rest. Enjoyed your video, tfw.
I like the $30 gel simply because I have a hard time find products to work with my hair. So when I find it I would go with it. It looks so much better. Thanks for this comparison.
$30 for 6 ounces of gel or even 8 ounces is a no for me. I have too much hair to have such a small bottle especially when there are gels like Uncle Funky's, Camille Rose, and Curls has gels that run about $5 for a bottle that give amazing definition.
I agree with using the $30 gel for special occasions and the eco for every day situations. But on the other hand you don’t do wash n go every day any way. So, go for the gold! #beautyaintcheap#splurge
I think I will stick with the TGIN miracurl gel. It's like $14.99 and never fails my 4a/4b curls. But I do appreciate the time you spent doing this. Love your personality and hair.
I LITERALLY be tryna TELLLL people about the Curly Curl Cream. And you are LEGIT the first RUclipsr I’ve ever seen talk about it. It does something soooo different for my hair that literally NO OTHER product does for my hair. CURLY CURL CREAM IS LIFE! I never not have stock in my house. My hair can’t live right without it.
Nope! No ma’am I’ll take Eco or Mane Choice , the Pearly Braid Out Glaze “to me” performs just like that $30 gel. And for ONLY 6 oz they tried it who has a 6 oz head, only if you have cut all your hair off and just have enough to brush. Thanks for the video Jess💜💜
Thank you so ver much. This was an excellent video. My take is: The $30 looks quite a bit better at the time of application but there is no difference after it dries. There is definitely not enough difference to pay $30 instead of $3. Sometimes I feel like we Black women get exploited when it comes to our hair.
yes, fr. We need to also read the ingredients. I find making my own with natural ingredients works far superior. Uncle funky's and EcoSlay are pretty good too.
I like the comparison videos Jess! Thank you for sharing! With no leave and no cream the $30 gel, did its thang! I can't use eco it gives me headaches. I do love the TGIN styling gel is my fav right now. Blessings!
I've never really done a wash n go. I think I have an issue with all that gel in my hair. They're cute tho. I pay high prices for hair products as long as they do what they claim..
Not Jess giving us a 22 minute video. I'm here for it! As for the gel, ain't no way I'm paying that much for that little bit of gel. I don't like my hair that much! LOL
So I’ve used the $30 gel, the issues is you have to use a lot for longer hair but it last but it’s a one use type of gel. If you have long hair two jars will need to be purchased. I’ve used the gel and I love it but for only one use it’s a no for me. I have a jar under my sink it’s still has product in there but not enough for my whole head
I would go for the product with less damaging ingredients for my hair. The definition isn't worth it if it's going to be bad for my hair long term. They gave similar results, so I would go for the product with better ingredients rather than chase the perfect definition. Type 4 hair can be so easily manipulated into whatever style we want anyways, so I'm not too pressed about having the most definition.
Thank you for your review! ❤️. It’s always a pleasure to have your support. I would encourage you to apply the Nurture Gel on dripping wet hair in the shower. It’s formulated to be water locking. Thank you 😊
That Curly curl cream is sooo good tho..... The first time I used it I did a wash and go with only the curly curl cream .... It so so good... Juicy and shiny, defined but softtttt
I have the same results when putting my hair in a bonnet it after doing the wash and go but what I was trying to figure out was if the hair was dry when it was put in the bonnet that could’ve messed up some of the results for the $30 side and I think it would’ve looked a lot better if the hair was 100% dry before it was put in the bonnet for the night and when you pulled it off I’m pretty sure those curls on the $30 side would’ve been intact. Now me personally I have yet to find a gel that works on my 4A 4B curls especially Eco styler because it doesn’t work it’s super drying and my hair always looks puffy and frizzy after air drying no matter how much I glob on. For me I would give the $30 gel a try but I don’t see myself repeat buying it unless it was a miracle worker in my hair
I LOVE the theme song!!! I’m quite intrigued by the nurture gel!! I saw the difference and girl when you start using their technique on top of it …. It’s truly GAME OVER!!!
They both are a Hard Nooooo! Miss Jessie layered with Shea Butter Curl Activator is what I use. It last 3 days then you just refresh with water no product, because it can be sticky🥰
My 2 cents. Flaxseed diy has the same consistency! And it’s good for your hair, This what I like my Gel/curl definer to do! Camille Rose curl maker is what I use when I don’t want to make it👏🏽👌🏾❤️ I don’t do gel, natural over 20 yrs
I have a curl in that exact same spot in the back that coils so beautifully no matter what I put on it!!! I just wish it would talk to the rest of the hair on my head!!!😂🤣😂 Love the video!!
My hair didn’t do a wash n go look until I tried Photogenic gel. It used to be $35 +$7 shipping when I first bought it in 2018. Now I think it’s $70. It’s the best gel I ever used and made my hair grow a lot. It’s been a TOTAL game changer for me! & The good part is that it comes in a 32oz jar! So yes, 26oz more product! It’s been worth it to me.🤷🏽♀️
Great comparison. But I do feel that the Argan Oil one has a lighter hold than the Olive Oil. Maybe you should have compared the $30 one with Wetline. Also, Eco all day, every day!! Until I try another one that works for my 4C/4B coarse and fine strands.
“I’m not going to discredit y’all just because we got company” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but this was helpful! Been doing wash and go’s and have yet to perfect it! I didn’t even think to try the good ole eco
Your hair is so beautiful 😍… thank you for doing a side by side video on the two products… I’m somewhat new to the game. I recently cut my Locs and now I’m one year and 4 months into my journey…. I love watching your videos 😊
Not only would I buy it, but I actually DID order a jar while I watched your video. I will use for those times I want to wear my hair out and not pulled back in a scarf like I do most days. Living in Mississippi where summers are brutal as far as humidity. This will help when I'd like to wear my hair out without ending up looking like a birds nest. Really enjoyed your video. Learned some things and got a few chuckles. You've got a great personality.
Hey Jess, I've been loving your videos. I went to the website for this company and I'm realizing that they are following the model of Deva Curl which is the curling salon for folks with curly hair issues. Most of their clients are white, Hispanic or mixed race women (I've brought my mixed raced daughter there). I'm wondering if this company is spinning off from that. The technique with Hydration and lots of product. Good for them though!! I'm willing to try it if only to support the salon. Ultimately price is a real thing! I hate spending too much money hair stuff and cosmetics!! So I may try it once but will also head to my local drug store for more affordable products. Keep up the good work Jess. Love the comments too. Thanks all!
Yesss queen!!!!! You are giving SUPPORT!!!!!! One of the reasons I make sure to support you!!!!!! 👏 I was going to say something when I saw your other comment, but I am loving your awesomeness right now!!!!!! I love your cut too. Health is wealth! :) Big hug and sending happy vibes your way as well!!
Love your sass! Jess, have you ever tried Curl Definition? It works really well in high humidity climates. My daughter always tells me my curls are popping after I workout and the product last for 1 - 2 weeks without reapplication.
@@kimc5321 With Curl Definition, you need the curl training mold and the curl defining gel for the basics. I can't post a pic here otherwise I would share what it looks like.
i died every 5 seconds, youre hilarious & so realistic & relatable. lmao im still laughin at “aint no roaches in here or nothin” thank YOU for not giving robotic ass cookie cutter content.
There's no way I can put all that jell in my hair again. I've tried this before and it fills yucky and sticky, not to mention sleeping on this doesn't feel good. I couldn't wait to wash my hair. What I find that works for me is this brand ORS curls unleashed curl jelly the pink one. Your hair turned out nice and I could not spend $30 for gel.
I think the difference between the 2 products may be the pH. The $30 gel seems to be more acidic and closes the cuticles whereas the $3 eco gel may be a little more alkaline and keeps the cuticles open creating more frizz.
Thank you for going through the trials for us. I would likely NOT have just tried the $30 gel without knowing someone else tried it and the look. That being said, I will stick to Eco and my moisture product. I like TW Curly Curl but it seems to flake on my hair with the gel. Thanks again Jess!
Quality should ALWAYS be over Quantity, idc what's the topic. By the end of the video ur hair looked defined, hydrated and luscious without the fluff and frizz. I feel like that's the result most curly heads go for so u got what u paid for. When ur getting the desired look, the price u pay is nothing compared to the contentment of a satisfied hairstyle of a natural chick. Ita hard to find the right product boo, cant win em all so be thankful bcuz the ppl that created the product knew they understood the assignment which is why ur paying for the QUALITY of them hitting the nail on the head🤷♀️💕💕💕
Lol, you better sing your own song! Yes ma'am. The $30 side looked great but that is a but expensive for gel. I haven't had success with Eco much either, so I still need to find something that works well. Sometimes Shine and Jam does pretty well on my Type 4 hair. Great video Jess!
YT Nieceyyyy! Your hair is gorg, as always and thank you for spending YOUR coins to show us this product. But you KNOW we are not about that $30 gel life. It would need to have multiple uses like, shampoo, co-wash, leave-in, styler AND GEL for me to purchase. And that's probably not gonna happen. Lol. The most I have spent on a product for curls was the Camille Rose Curl Maker. And I only purchase that with a 40% off coupon from CVS. I get those every 5 days. I'm thrifty. 😩
There is indeed a slight difference. I think it boils down to the look you desire. In my personal opinion the $30 dollar gel just looks better. However, I wouldn’t spend that much on gel. Well…maybe. Great video! Thanks
Fun fact..Similar active ingredient is in Nurture and Wetline..sodium polyacrylate/polyacrylamide...can hold from 30 to 100 its weight in water. I learned that because I was trying to justify buying it so I was kind of disappointed to find similar chemical principle at work between Nurture and Wetilne. Definitely explains why we love Wetline so much.
Yes, the separation of curls with ecostyle is so much sweeter, and yes flaking is a def 'NO' Girlie , you're doing the 'D' thang!!!!❤️ I have so many diff hair types on my head, that it's crazy🥴
I almost bought the gel from your link. The gel was $37.50, plus the cheapest amount of shipping, $26.00!! And you KNOW with the currency exchange to Canada, duty and most likely COD, I'd be looking at about $100.00!😣
Melisha Weston. Awesome info on the price and shipping costs.... A few years ago I ordered a hair product from Canada. I paid the extra, exorbitant shipping costs because the product had good reviews..unh uh....Didn't do anything for me. Some countries dont have the resources to produce a lot of these things we see advertised, but in the US, pretty much, everything you see, anywhere else, can, usually, be found here. It's probably not going to be worth the final cost.

Also, I got a NATURAL gel for you. Buy flaxseeds on a supermarket and boil some with water for about 20-25 mins and then just strain the seeds and take the liquid out. It’s natural and makes your hair grow so much and stay healthy. PLEASEEEE make a review on this.
I love to see the transformation and the differences. Yes I would definitely stick with the Hydra bar product because there's no point of even having the frizz and putting up with that because even over a period of time it will probably get frizzier.. The more expensive one in this case is much much better. It's absolutely amazing it's beautiful on you!!!
Very hard to choose! I wonder how much of the 30.00 gel which I would call a Jelly is left. Will you be able to do more than one application with it. If you could at least get 2 full applications with it I would choose that. But if not! Back to old faithful. Thanks for this video. One Love 💕
I just tried wetline xtreme gel and paired it with camille rose naturals moisture milk. Love love love. Im done spending over $10 for gels. Save your coins
I really think you should use the shingling method to define your hair, it'll definitely give you a lot more definition with way less freeze. Try it out, you'll love it

Hey Jess love love love your hair. Stick with the 30.00 gel. Curls are beautiful and so defined. Sometimes, sometimes pay a little extra for results like that. Beautiful.
There has to be a shortage. Same issue in Atlanta.... and the sad thing for me is that NONE of the other eco gels work as good on my hair as the green one... 🤦🏾♀️
If an expensive product gives you the results you want, I think it’s worth it to dish out the extra coins. This being said none of the products shown looked like they’d give me the results I’d want.

Anybody else get mad when $30 products not filled all the way to the top 😂😂😂 In my honest opinion I'm going to need my hair to flake gold for a $30 gel
The way that you speak and your commentary is absolutely hilarious! These are the conversations that I have with myself on every wash day. I’m happy I stumbled onto your channel. 😍👍🏾
Hi Jesss!!!🤗💖 I would buy the product that works best for my hair. In my opinion you saved money, because I'm sure that if stylist had styled your hair, it would've cost more than $30.00.
Honestly, I have found that the Argan Oil Eco style gel doesn’t work well for wash n go. I’ve had great success with IC Fantastia Gel, and not Eco. Your hair looks great.
Thank you for the comparison. But I think Mielle Pomegranate & Honey leave in and Coil Sculpting Custard would give that $30 Nurture a run for the money!!!!😉
After seeing this I’m going to finally go natural again with better relationships with my hair

First and foremost great video, 💯❤️🎥 🥰 I love your smile 😊 and your energy and your patience! Even though they looked a bit similar I would say what is the long term effect on the $30 product? Even though it did not flake it appears to have more moisture, standing alone, and it makes me think it has something else to offer long-term. 👍 So I’m going to stand with the $30 product and I might give it a try myself. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the video, the 30$ side did do better on your hair and I don’t do wash n go because I don’t like gel in my hair. But I’m going to start wash n go this spring so I will pay if it works. I might not try that one yet until I master the wash n go. But I love your personality girl you are so real I love it.lol
I’m kinda hooked on my Green Olive Oil Eco styler, which does me wonders. Honestly I’m not paying $30.00 for hair gel, but if it works for you then cool👏🏽 Thanks!
Okay so there’s a couple things to account for sis... you didn’t use a leave in like normal and you used argan oil instead of the olive oil Eco Styler. So although you gave them both a clean slate to start with with no extra product the comparison to previous WNGs and today’s Eco results are like night and day. Also, what that flake test looking like if you use that $30 gel over your normal leave in(s) sis? 👀
Love that Nurture Gel, I'm going to have to grab several containers because they have pre-orders for a larger size, thank you for this video and the comparison!

At 17:13, where you said, “Comparison is the thief of joy,” was profound! Thank you! I’mma say DAT - a LOT!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Good info about Eco Styler
The $30 gel has the same consistency as flaxseed gel to me. Flaxseed gel is good for your hair, cheap, and you can make it yourself.

I said the same thing as soon as I saw the texture
I was thinkingvthe same thing
The trick about the gel definition is the water, I use gel alot, I wash my hair and right after I hurriedly add the gel before it starts to dry out, I always mist it during the process to get it back wet. With all that I always get perfect curls and I only use gel no other products not even after its dry, just water to mist it 3 or 4 days after.
I feel like a hooded dryer or diffusing would have been helpful, sleeping on undried hair maybe skewed the results of both 🤷🏾♀️
I agree completely
For sure. I think it would really give the products a chance to perform it's best.
I think she wanted to stay true to how she would do her hair in a real life situation vs a video for her channel. If she isn’t staying true to her real process then how would she personal know which she preferred.
This makes no sense. Both sides were treated the same for a comparative review. And based on that it is clear that one works better than the other.
That's the same thing I was saying
I have learned that it’s more about what the gel is doing for the health of my hair. Eco styler gel may look good/great, however, has chemical components that are damaging to the hair.
Pray, do tell the damaging chemicals. Thanks
6 oz for $30 is $5 oz, so 8 oz should be $40, actually less because you should save as you buy larger sizes.
@@here2learn737 When I purchased it they didn’t have the 8 oz size. It’s new. I wanted to try. I liked it but I have found my Holy Grails. I’m no longer a product junkie.

After the air dry... I'd pass on the $30 one (Nuture). Difference wasn't dramatic enough for the commitment

Water Locking Gel by Nurture
Regular price$37.50
NOT $30.00
the ECO i use that in my hair so should i use water to soray on my hair before puttin it on my hair so curls let me know what i should do !!!!!!
I actually didn't see much of a difference between the eco and curl cream vs the $30 one. The $30 one was slightly better but wasn't, wow, super dramatically better. I would just stick with the cheaper stuff.
I’ll stick with three dollar ECO. Because I end up stretching my hair any how
@key b i don't use gel in my hair, personally.
I was feeling the same way.
Ooo I’ll def try it in the shower next time then! Thank you :)
Thank you ladies !
I got my hair done by the Hydro Salon. Amazing results! The results lasted me 3 weeks. They teach you everything. No flaking. I bought the gel and just tried it myself, wish me luck!
Am I the only one who think Jess be straight up having these types of convos with her hair. If I was the mirror I would be cracking up laughing 😂
Jess is so comical. Just rapid fire wit.
I know it's adorable lol! She's a cutie.
She be having me cracking up!🤣
I knew the $30 was finna give. I looked for gels with that consistency cause they give me the best results. The main gels I use are the mane choice tropical moringa and the do it fro the culture. They give me bomb results and also has that slimy sticky texture. It gives bomb definition with little to no crunch
Yes Ecostyler is too thick for my hair I need loose gel like that $30 one or I just use a good Mousse like Camille Rose .
@@godschosen1213 I'm too afraid to try mousse I feel like that would be too light for my hair lol
@@randomchik62 mousse def won't have the same hold. But I tried the mielle pomegranate and honey mousse and it was good.

That quench is love
Yea you took of that towel and I was like “ohhhhh don’t hurt em sis” Come on length!!
You like tk Kirkland. In everybody comment section lol #support
Right was giving length and fullness
Jess talking to her hair with gel is so wholesome "you know who you are"
Lol. I LOVE your commentary skills. You are hilariously-expressive. I immediately loved the results of the $30 hair gel.
I think I will stick with the TGIN miracurl gel. It's like $14.99 and never fails my 4a/4b curls. But I do appreciate the time you spent doing this. Love your personality and hair.
Lemme screenshot this comment so I can try this gel
I would have tried it if it was at Ulta and I could return if I wasn’t in love with it. $40 is a steep investment for gel
Ooh, I have 4a/b hair too! I normally use Tgin honey curls custard for twist/braid-outs, but I'll have to try that gel.
Where do you buy the TGIN miracurl gel?
@@jhonaleegardner3094 I just did the same thing
Not a 6 oz head 🤣🤣🤣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Mix the two
Thank you so ver much.
LOL
🤣🤣
😅
I like the $30 one because it goes to the roots 🤩
Jess!! I am so with you on the gel on freshly washed hair thing!! Certainly one of the main reasons I rarely do wash and goes. 😬😩
How u make it
I love my EcoStyler, and you really didn't get your roots that hard with the Eco when you were applying it.
The curly curl cream is the GAME CHANGER. I've used several gels with that and it cannot be outdone.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You gotta list those gels 🙌🏾
I have a curl in that exact same spot in the back that coils so beautifully no matter what I put on it!!! I just wish it would talk to the rest of the hair on my head!!!😂🤣😂 Love the video!!
Girl, mine does the same thing 😂😂
My hair didn’t do a wash n go look until I tried Photogenic gel. It used to be $35 +$7 shipping when I first bought it in 2018. Now I think it’s $70. It’s the best gel I ever used and made my hair grow a lot. It’s been a TOTAL game changer for me! & The good part is that it comes in a 32oz jar! So yes, 26oz more product! It’s been worth it to me.🤷🏽♀️
Is it sold in any beauty supply store or does it have to be ordered online?
the shrinkage defense is UP THEREEE 🤩🙌🏼
Great comparison. But I do feel that the Argan Oil one has a lighter hold than the Olive Oil. Maybe you should have compared the $30 one with Wetline. Also, Eco all day, every day!! Until I try another one that works for my 4C/4B coarse and fine strands.
The green eco is the one that will give you that look. This new product I love. Oh I can't wait to get this in my granddaughters hair.
“I’m not going to discredit y’all just because we got company” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but this was helpful! Been doing wash and go’s and have yet to perfect it! I didn’t even think to try the good ole eco
The Nurture side def has a noted difference. I wonder if both sides would have done better under a dryer or with diffuser over air drying
Thanks all!

First time on this channel. Jess is an amazing, intelligent, beautiful lady!!! I here feeling happy and proud. Lool but for real.
I feel like the longer a person’s hair gets curls look “looser”/ more elongated and that’s why the hair typing thing is unreliable
Great video Jess!
i love how you speak to your curls. it expresses your relationship with them as if theyre special people to you.
Thanks
Girl when you took the towel off I was woahh. Loving it ❤❤
Fun fact..Similar active ingredient is in Nurture and Wetline..sodium polyacrylate/polyacrylamide...can hold from 30 to 100 its weight in water. I learned that because I was trying to justify buying it so I was kind of disappointed to find similar chemical principle at work between Nurture and Wetilne. Definitely explains why we love Wetline so much.
The expensive one I feel will do the best. Jess you should try Phamily haircare. It's costly, but I promise it is amazing! TFS

Honestly, I have found that the Argan Oil Eco style gel doesn’t work well for wash n go. I’ve had great success with IC Fantastia Gel, and not Eco. Your hair looks great.
Your hair is beautiful Jess!!! The $30 gel was better than the Eco.

Your natural hair is so beautiful you go girl
