I watched it once but I will watch it again!! Hope you are settled into your new place, can't wait to hear where you have settled next! I know it's not Merida or is it, lol!
I always love your videos, because you make me smile! You have such a happy way of presenting everything. You are just great, since you have gone solo. I think you’ve gotten much better and happier in your videos. Every place you visit it seems like it’s your happy place. You’re such a joy to watch!
Hi Maddi Gold! Just want to say thank you for your beautiful videos. We have been fans of yours for 2 years now. Your videos helped us before we moved to Playa del Carmen. We moved in August of 2022. We are still watching your videos and enjoying them. We haven't had a chance to move about Mexico a lot yet because we have 5 dogs. We just wanted to drop a line and say , keep up the good work! Take care. Teresa and Corinne.
I was there in 1987. I loved every minute of it. It cost me $4.00 a day for a motel on the beach in those days. I fell in love with the Caribbean way back then. Went snorkling at the other end of the Island, it was a great experience. I learned how to scuba dive after that. There was a military base at the other end of the island at that time also. Happy to see Maddie there! Love the video. Brought back so many memories! Thank you!
We went twice last year! We love Isla mujeres small paradise reminds me of key west 😊 and only one hour and 15 minutes by plane from where I live ❤ Ft Lauderdale Florida 💙
Love your videos, Maddie. I felt comfortable spending several months in Mexico as a solo traveler thanks to your channel. Have you ever considered hosting a group trip? With your following, You would have so much success. Hope you will consider this (in Mexico and other countries) in the future 😊😊
@@MaddieGold Right - maybe that's an opportunity to open a GF Churro stand - haha! Thank you for this video, Maddie. It really brought back a bunch of amazing vacation memories! Glad you had such a great time! 🌴
That angry lady @21:50 LOL. Great video! My wife and I have stayed there twice at the North Point at a resort and it was an unforgettable experience! We can't wait to go back someday...first we have to get someone to keep our 4 boys that we've had since then... LOL
Another great video, Maddie. Christopher sure got his money's worth. You are a wonderful travel guide. Everything from taxis to food is sure pricey there. Love ya!
I found Isla 15 years ago. I now stay 6 months per visit. It used to be a bargain to stay here. However, since the end of covid, inflation, and the weak dollar it's become about 30 to 40%% more expensive. Also, at times too crowded with day trippers from Cancun. For extended stays, you can take the bus around Isla for 20 pesos. Hop on/off from anywhere on the bus route. Just flag them down. Also, street tacos can be found for 25 pesos. Chedraui(mid-island) is like Walmart and will be the cheapest for food, alcohol, swimwear ect. CARM is the best for ground transport to the airport and tours in Cancun.
The Yucatán peninsula is so beautiful! I spent a few days in Playa del Carmen in 2005 and I want to go back! I’m glad to see that the immense seaweed blob that’s been in the news doesn’t seem to be affecting this area.
Beautiful sunset! Mexico, Costa Rica, and Kauai always have a gorgeous sunset! Speaking of gorgeous water, and being so close to Tulum, I am assuming you've seen the amazing color of that beach!
Hi I've been watching your videos off and on for a while. They are very informative and include a lot of great vid shots. I love love Isla Mujeres 💕 my last visit was in 2017. I was eagerly watching this video to try to catch some memories of the places I've been on the island. The only thing I've discovered is that I MUST GO BACK. Thanks so much. Safe travels!
I LOVED this vlog Maddie! Good job 😊😊 i love you interactions with the locals. I feel like I am hearing a Mexican but I am seeing an American! I love love love your Spanish and you inspire me to continue studying. I love Isla Mujheres as well but in the past years it has become quite crowded. I used to chase down this street vendor who sold amazing Gorditas . He made them vegetarian for me with pickled onions and cheese. Great job Maddie! You are on fire with these awesome videos😊😊😊

I lived there for a glorious year… it was 1984. One car on the island, yes ONE. An old VW Bug. Only other transportation ~ mopeds or walking. SO awesome… I’m sad to see all that growth but very grateful to have been there when it was just a small fishing village,. Thank god the water is still crystal clear. Thank you for sharing, great video! Oh, you could get a freshly caught grouper cooked right there on the beach along with a couple of cold beers for about $3.00. I rented a little apartment for $16 a month. Sigh, those were the days….
As you said Maddie, “Life is good”. I loved the music you used throughout your video. I’m so glad you enjoyed your visit. And you finally met up with your friend 😊Thank you for the share
I traveled to Isla Mujeres in the 80's backpacking. It is unrecognizable. Kinda breaks my heart. Then just some palapas on the beach and some open air family food stands. I wish I could go back in time!!

I was in Cancun and Cozumel in 2016 but didn't make it to Isla Mujeres at that time. They all have a special charm about them. I like Cancun for the Ruins and the Cenotes. I first visited Isla Mujeres in 2006 and fell in love instantly. I’ve been back multiple times since (no small feat from the UK!) Every time I go, I say ‘nope, not going again, too much development’ but then I see a video like this and it’s like...hmmm, maybe 🤔😂
I originally intended coming here for a day trip from Cancun with my wife several years ago. We loved the island so much we actually checked out of our Cancun hotel (then the Ritz Carlton, now it's Kempinski Hotel), took our bags in the morning and did the rest of our stay here.
Isla Mujeres is heaven. I went a few years ago and have dreamed about it since. I recall the food I had was also all excellent . This all looks so amazing.
