    Hi, I just discovered this channel. You both do such a great job in the videos. I was wondering if you both can do a video about the sargassum (sargazo)? I plan on being in the Quintana Roo, Riveria Maya, in late April into early May. I am hoping for the beaches to be clear, no seaweed . Thank you!!

    • @TouristtoLocal

      Really? I’m also going to be there April 21st - May 16, I’ll be in the riveria maya for Atleast 10 days, I also speak fluent Spanish, if you need help please reach out! I’m a solo traveler from Nebraska, I own my restaurant here and I just want to enjoy my trip as well

    • @Rationalreason777
      @Rationalreason777 Год назад

      May through September is the worst time for Sargassum unfortunately. I was just in Tulum two weeks ago when there has never been Sargassum before and the beaches in Tulum were inundated with Sargassum for 4 straight days. I was very happy our trip was focused on the jungle instead of the beaches last trip. Very unhappy campers at the beach. There is no telling when the seaweed might be bad anymore, but I would say the way things have been the last few years, I wouldn't plan a beach trip to the Riviera Maya in May through September for sure unless you like 5 foot high sulphur piles and murky water.

    • @TouristtoLocal
      @TouristtoLocal  Год назад +1

      Thanks so much! We are hesitant to do USD conversions since the rate has been changing so much lately. Since we pay in pesos, it’s much more accurate to provide y’all those prices so there’s no surprises.

    • @TouristtoLocal
      @TouristtoLocal  Год назад

      Avoid using dollars. You can use your credit card for most transactions, but carry some pesos for when places don't accept card!

  • @ibanacastillo6788

    I enjoyed watching your video but you should also say how much something like the food costs in dls, i would like to understand how much like 7pesos is in dls just so i have an idea thxs!!!

    • @TouristtoLocal
      @TouristtoLocal  8 месяцев назад

      Since the exchange rate changes so often, pesos is a more reliable cost. A tip we have for converting is to move the decimal over 1 and divide by two. So 20 pesos would be like $1, more or less.

      We always had one of us with our belongings since we were here with film equipment, so we can't say for certain. If you're traveling solo, best to at least cover your items if you go in the water, or take a dry bag with you into the water! Better safe than sorry.
