The BMR cradle lockout kit helped me a ton. Granted I don’t have a converter but I am FBO and cammed but I might try this as well

The good thing is its pretty easy to install. It never really helped on this car but we do have a converter and it is fairly aggressive and we are trying to hook up on the street.Hopefully we will get it to a prepped track next summer.

@@LSxMotorsports2021 I will have to do this diff upgrade then if its pretty easy to install. I have some coilovers that i need to install to help me hook up better. I'm hoping to switch to some MT street Rs as well.

Ty for the video, one question, where did you guys find the guidance for 162 Ft/LBS + 60 degrees? That seems really high.
*Edit nevermind I am looking at a copy of the GM repair manual now and you guys are 100% correct, that is a single use 162ftlbs + 60 degrees bolt.

BMR includes the torque specs in the instructions.I agree that seems high.Probably be a good idea to google the specs to be sure.I think we did google it but honestly I don't remember now if we did or not. Thanks for watching and commenting we really appreciate it.

@@LSxMotorsports2021 I just paid to take a look at the service manual and it's the correct torque, but it is a 1 time use bolt, it should not be re-used. I cannot find a part number for the bolt unfortunately, still digging around for that. Did you guys re-use or did you get a new carrier bolt?

No we reused the old bolt.Your not supposed to but we did and most people do.Just never reuse torque to yield bolts on the engine especially the head bolts they should always be replaced with new ones.

Well anything you can do to tighten up the rear diff should help with traction.Still need to test it but so far there doesn't seem to be any noises added to the rear suspension.

@@The_Drive_Inside I spoke too soon. The Stuntman says there is some noise in the suspension now after doing the differential lock out.

@@LSxMotorsports2021 lol…it’s really hard to freeze a rubber mount and not squeak a little bit.

This Job 3x more work without A Vehicle lift..!

Yeah a lift makes everything easier when working on cars. But this was actually a fairly easy install even using jack stands.I thought it was going to be a real pain but it wasn't that bad at all.
