Beardbrand great video Greg, I wish my greys grew out evenly like yours, my grey tends to grow" patchy", some greys here, some greys there type maneuver, giving me that urban wino look, lol, so I usually just use touch up on most my beard leaving a small clearly visible grey square right under my bottom lip, like a grey soulpatch while most of the rest of my beard is black. Your beard looks great silver or black. Once again, great video.
Took a good 20 years off you !
You to o
Beardbrand its so cool.😁
Beardbrand
Looks great!!!
I love how as soon as he says “beard Brand” his forehead is crinkled for the duration of the video lol
Lmao
Omg it's true
😂😂😂😂😂
Ahahahaha what the fek??? That's so strange he hardly is trying to maintain that look...so naturally? Hahaha
Literally has a crinkled forehead as soon as the video starts.
To all Beardsmen and non-beardsmen alike, may your year ahead be filled with Peace, Love, Joy and Prosperity. Let’s all work together to make the world a better place. Mahalo
Lone Wolf 🙏✌️🖖🏻👍

Matthew Pearson Cheers to the new year mate 🥂
Matthew are you from Hawaii? Maharo from New Zealand
Peace to all the bearded brothers
I'm 63 and my beard is white white, mustache slat and pepper and head and brows still dark. So I do color my beard but just recently shaved my head. It does knock off about 20 years off my age appearance. I personally love the salt and pepper color on you, always thought you had one of the best looking beards. Thanks for the post.
The dark hair and beard make your eyes really pop out
Two things that this process does as far as I'm concerned, it definitely makes the beard more Fuller visually and it enriches it making it more pronounced overall. And finally, yes it does appear to make you look younger as well but I don't see that playing into it as much. Plus it fills out the jawline more it just accentuates more within the facial structure. So it's a thumbs up as far as I'm concerned
looks amazing!..... but i actually liked your original hair color more.. the grey/silver hair color is super cool! imo
Darth Plagueis I am the senate
I heard about your tragedy
Looks really good, man. If you feel as young as you look when you dye it, I would say make it a permanent change.
The thing with these temporary colours is that you can change your look without the commitment. It’s definitely a different look and can be fun to play around with.
One thing I would do is make sure you clarify your hair well and your beard. It can leave a residue and stain the hair shaft. A simple clarification treatment is to add a tbsp of baking soda to your shampoo. Really give it a good scrub. Then make sure you moisturize your hair well after.
Thanks for the tip
pH is too high. Do a dilute vinegar rinse to restore pH
One thing I'd mention, I used to use a temporary henna-based dye on my beard. Not sure if this applies to these other types of dyes but if you are using a temp with the thought that you can go back to the white/gray keep in mind that the dyes may "stain" your beard and not wash out completely. The dye I used eventually caused the white and grays to turn kind of a pale yellowish brown so it needed to grow out to get back to the natural color. Not a huge issue unless your beard is long.
Also, be sure to do the test patch before applying all over your face. I ended up having a bad reaction to the Just For Men that resulted in weeping sores on my chin. before trying again I tried the test patch on the inside of my elbow and got a bad rash that took weeks to go away.
Just some thoughts, wanna dye? Have fun with it but hey some dudes just rock the hell out of the gray/white (you know how you are, coughcoughGregcoughcough). I am trying not to judge any more, it's too negative :)
Beard on and keep on growing!
When and if I use hair color, I use something gentle, organic, and semi-permanent that lifts gradually with washing such as a henna treatment with a yogurt base. Choosing a color found in my natural highlights opposed to the darkest will most likely ensure a more natural varied look because the gray gets covered appearing like highlights, and the dark remains dark.
Gray and dark beards suit you, awesome video.
PUDIPIE?
Forget the haters. Do what makes you happy!
Actually, no haters
Good deal! Thanks for the great videos.
What stops me is people talking and laughing at me "oh look, he dyes his hair lol, I knew I saw something funny when standing behind him in the cantine lol". otherwise I'd do it :(
What kind of beard die is that and where can I get it?
After watching five or so videos before this one, I kept thinking _why doesn't he dye his hair and beard_ and here, you did! I think it looks fabulous. To be honest, you look terrific no matter what you do. Even with beard shaved off, you looked snatched. DNA of a model, to be sure.
I'm 38 now but went grey in my late 20's. I dyed my hair for a number of years but found the weekly maintenance got harder so finally stopped. I now embrace my fully grey hair and I'm 5 weeks into growing a beard which is also grey. Dyed hair always looks that way when you've got dark hair and more grey than your natural colour.
Looks really good. I always advise against dying a beard though because it really drys out the skin on your face and beard hair Exspecally in the winter. It can give you split ends and breakage. If you have a really strong beard it may not do that, but for people with regular beards i wouldn't chance it.
I like the look of the first product. I don’t think I’d ever dye my hair, chasing the grey roots would make me crazy. I see sooooo many women with grown out roots, and I think it looks terrible. I’m gonna rock my grey, I’ve worked hard and I’ve earned it!
maintaining touchup is a bear!
I'm 23 years old & i am having white hair pop up in my beard, I think it's mostly due to the fact that I have severe anxiety disorder, I've been thinking about dying it but I'm not sure what due to use. I don't want anything that'll be too harsh on my skin & hair, not sure what i will do.
Then just bleach your grey hair DUH!!
What is the name of that first product?
Looks good on you. I actually do dye my hair and beard but I went pretty grey when I was about 27. It does takes the years off it also helps give my beard a much fuller look.
Greg you are a good looking guy with model looks any way you style yourself. That makes a big difference. The thickness, wave and texture of your hair is terrific and would look good no matter what color it is. I never knew either of my grandad's, but my father had a nearly full head of hair when he died (he was in his mid-70's) and nearly no white or grey hair at all. We both started out as very blonde kids and as we aged our hair just got darker and more of a mousy dark blonde. I'd kill to have white/silver hair! But it's not going to happen naturally. I'm letting my facial hair grow out (thanks for the terrific vids on beard growth!) and the colors of my beard are patchy with a lot of grey and white- just not even. The first product might be good to use to even out the color patches for a more symmetrical/balanced canvas of a beard? I had colored my mustache with JFM type semi-perm color but it looked phony and painted on. (It also didn't last even a week.) Because of seeing some of your other vids, by letting my beard grow out and grooming it with product, I've seen some unevenness become less noticeable. One thing I haven't seen addressed in any vid is the fact that I have never been able to grow sideburns of any kind so there is a disconnect between my head hair and beard. Any suggestions for that problem? There is nothing there at all. I vote for the silver/gray look because it's like a signature for you. Thanks!
Greg..you look absolutely STUNNING with a dark beard! I'm Middle Eastern..and in the ME..men regularly dye their hair and beards dark when the gray comes in. It makes us look and feel younger. But of course you look great with a gray beard as well my friend. #DoWhatMakesYouHappy
I would be one of those guys looking forward to going grey (like Greg) but it’s great to see how well that all actually worked. I was shocked that it looked natural.
P.S. Greg, embrace the silver fox, man. I hope to age as well as you.
I totally love my silver hair. Just fun to experiment
Greg, you look amazing either way. The darker hair and beard does make you look years younger, but the salt and pepper is so eye catching and attractive. You can’t go wrong either way.
My beard's pretty gray with some pretty white hairs, too. I usually dye mine light golden brown, #54 Revlon Colorsilk about every 2-3 weeks. Although at 49, I'm not trying to really fool anyone, and will be the first to admit that I dye it. Yes, it DOES make me look younger, but what I like the best is how much more full it makes my beard look.
Looks dope, you should do it. I just did my beard and side of hair as I just got a shorter haircut and trimmed my beard low two weeks ago. Super gray. Now, dark and black like Ive always had and I like it.
NO! You've got one of the best heads of hair and beards i have every seen!!
Would be cool to your family’s reaction! That would be a great video, many views...
Yeah, I favor the dark, both on your hair and mustache & beard! You look (much) younger & more Handsome!!!
Glad it was temporary! @4:52 that looks kinda cool with it dark around the moustache area! At 49 my short beard has some grey in it but I hope it goes white like Greg's.
Looks great, but I like the grey/silver/natural look too. A young looking face (like yours) looks not older with grey hair. It is the same with 20 year old people coloring the hair grey, they look not like 30 or 40. I think we are pretty accurate in estimating the age of a person. 80 year old ladies with dark black hair are a good example not to exaggerate.
I dye the bit of grey in my beard out. It's just in the chin area really, and I'd left in the grey for the first year of the beard and then I wanted a more uniform beard so I used' just for men' on it. It's fun to have the option if you want.
I have been dying both my beard and head hair for years. Have no interest in looking any older , just my personal preference. I like being mistaken for a younger age. Never have allowed my own to get fully gray. So, if you like it, just dye it! You look great with it.
Would you recommend any product, from your own experience? I dont have a lot of gray hair, but those who exist are very very present.
What do you do when your beard grow after a few days, dye the roots again?
Never die your beard Greg - you have an iconic look.
I think it looks great! I've almost a yeard, currently. Been tempted to dye it, but fear what future, mostly grey growth would look like. Also unsure if dying would make the beard more coarse or otherwise stiff.
I use Control GX Grey Reducing beard wash. It doesnt eliminate the gray, just tints it darker. You can apply it over time to gradually darken the beard. I have it at a medium tone and it looks great. Nobody noticed.
Still I think natural look is the best. Happy New Year for all beardmans 😉🍾
Wow great look! Both in your natural silver as well as the dyed version. It's certainly tempting as I, like yourself, have the salt and pepper thing happening.
I think I prefer the before rather than after! 😅
I would agree---but a fun change nonetheless
Greg Berzinsky in all fairness thought it still looks awesome, but the grey just suits you more man! Happy new year to you and all the guys at beard brand 😁
@@MrNizVID I would agree with you my friend
I embrace my incoming white beard hairs. I actually think that my bigger white spot on my right chin is the best feature of my beard. It gives it personality and I like the asymmetrical feature.
And another thing. When I first heard your age I was a bit surprised. Thought you were one of those guys that went gray early in life.
Looks really great man, love to see your family’s reaction too! Keep up the great videos 😀
Cameraman VBerzinsky was making a screwie face the entire time...
Yes, you are a handsome man to begin with, but the darker hair and beard makes you stunning in my opinion. The great thing is that you can flip/flop looks in a jiffy.
You look 30 with a dark beard
You would have to admit that I do look younger
bullshit!! 40 at best!! :)
IanTheEarlobe bullshit he deffinatly looks 40 at best
he douesn't. The fold on the face show his age, while black hair makes it look so fake as if he glued a fake beard
He definitely looks younger and more vibrant, however the skin on his neck always tells the truth ..
Very nice!! Looking good sir, thank you for demo, color is so much fun to play with!! 💈
Happy New Year 2018 to the wonderful Beardbrand team of talented folks!! 😘🎉💖💫☄
I too prefer the grey, or even about two thirds of the way through the video when it was black and grey. It does make you look younger but it doesn't look natural.
Giving up my dark beard and hair was quite the difficult process and decision. I identified since I was a teenager with my dark brown hair, later a mustache, then goatee, and my very dark complexion (thanks to my Native American heritage), but as I hit my late 50's it simply got to be too much work to maintain so at 60 and 1/2 years I succumbed to nature and now have about the same hair colors as you (though not nearly as nice and thick 'on top'!) and have decided to give a full beard a try (good luck to me because of that Native American heritage again). I am aware and can 'feel' the white, I know it's there. I garner lots of compliments, but I find I do miss my youth.
Greg keeps looking into my soul
I tried the beard dye regimen for about a year and it gets old trying to cover the grays the reason I stopped dying is because I noticed that my beard hair looked dull and I lost the natural shine that a natural color gives so no more beard dyes for me
I actually like it. It suits you. Maybe not so dark, a tad lighter and BOOM! Would look sick 👌
You look amazing with the dark beard. 20years younger!
As a proud pogonphile, your RUclips channel gives me life.
I don’t think I ever hit subscribe so fast 🏃🏾♀️
Well, we're glad you found the channel! Welcome!
- Jack
Black is for Beard. But you looking awesome in white too.
Happy New Year to BEARDBRAND family 👍👌✌️
Keep On Growing and Keep On Smiling
Hahaha Wow Greg you look years younger! I like it, and as it's only temporary it gives you a bit of diversity to what you can do with the colour of your beard/mustache. I think dying hair can, in some cases, make you look much younger and I might do something like that if I had a few grays. However if I had a full head and beard of gray like you and my father I would wear it with confidence!! Another great video, keep up the good work.
Honestly black stache and hair but white beard looks GREAT. Reminds me of Jeffrey Dean Morgan from the Walking Dead.
I kind of liked it too
I did the Just For Men shampoo for a little while, but I let it go back gray. The product work great on my hair and beard but I missed the gray. Go figure! Great video
I’m in my mid 30s and I dye my hair all the time, I like looking like in my 20s😁
What do you use?
Your natural colour is wayyyyyyyy better! I put a semi permanent colour in my hair and now regret it. The process of washing and growing it out is very challenging. Can’t wait to get back to my natural colour.
people don't like change. I'm only new so I don't know you that we'll so I think it looks great.
but I also agree with aging with grace. when my dad dyed his hair I just thought he looked like someone having a midlife crises.
still, you're new and old look both look great.
I think it's great. Dyed hair and beard for sure suits you more!!!
first you was looking like a odin , and now you are looking like thor
i also notice this😁😁
Love the darker beard, but the gray hair with streaks of brown were so nice looking. Dye the beard beause it looks cleaner. But don't let them talk you out of your best feature. That beautiful head of gray hair. Hope it grows back fast!
Looks cool, matches your eye brows 😊👍🏼
Which of these two products would you recommend for the most natural look to turn a blonde beard into black? Also, are these products smudge proof and sweat proof?
Amazing honestly you look 30 years younger.
I'll give it 10-13 years.....but thanks
Mr Anomalous way to over exaggerate , he is in his 50's he deffinatly doesnt look like he is in his early or mid 20's with his hair dye..
I just tried this with a major brand. WOW! I look 10 years younger and still have some salt. Why did I ever put this off?
Used a beard dye a few times with no issues then the last time left a severe skin reaction, an intolerable itching and red lumps and spots, lasting about a month. I would caution against using any kind of dye now, google it and see how many people have bad experinces and just embrace the grey!
Looks great, Greg! You remind me of a bearded Jon Hamm. Cheers!
Oh yeah! He does look like Jon Hamm when he grows out his beard!
- Jack
NOW---that will make a guy feel younger
girlz0r mmmmmmmmm hamm
Amazing hair, as well as the fur on the face. The silver and black compliments you well.
Wow that's shocked me 😳👍. I like what he used but unfortunately only 2 colours on Amazon!! Why you don't add dark brown on Amazon please? Please add it thanks a lot. ❤👍
I dye my beard, because my beard is multi-coloured, I dye my beard dark brown same as my head hair.
Trippy Atheist I dye mine too. I'm Scandinavian and have quite blonde hair, with parts of my head hair being almost platinum blonde while others are a darker ashy blonde. My beard is similar - Some bits dark, some blonde, some almost white... I like dying it to give a fuller look rather than the 'fluffy' look the blonde & white hairs give, and keep it relatively uniform. There's still natural high/lowlights where the dye takes better or worse over certain hairs/colours, but overall I feel it's much better being dyed.
KingBryn yo.. me too, mine looks Fuller, thicker and better In general. Happy new year, bro all the best for 2018.👍👍
Trippy Atheist Hell yeah, lush beards for all! Haha. Happy New Year too mate, have a good one and all the best.
To dye, or not to dye? That is the question....... Hell yeah I dye!!!!
Trippy Atheist
What kind of beard dye do you use?
But the question is How often do u have to dye your beard hair?
Forever wishing my husband would grow out a beard😣
same, been wishing my girl would get rid of her mustache but she's against waxing arms & stash.
I have a beard, time to ditch the zero and get with the hero
Oof
I like it dark, but think the natural is very cool. I've used Just for Men Mustache and Beard and actually like it best a few days after a dye it when some of the darkest color is fading and it looks more natural. Right now I'm rocking the all natural, multi-colored beast that grows from my face.
Jeff did a video about permanent hair dye---and his looked better after a few days too.
never do that again, we like you just the way you are ;)
You look really good both gray and dark!! I love it!
30 years less, great!!!
I'm definitely digging the dark hair with the natural beard look! Dye your head and keep the beard natural!
Several people here agree with you!
Yaaa do it man. Make it permanent looks good
Ol Babybeard ooo
I really love it! i really love how it looked when you darkened your mustache and dark on both side going down the chin, very awesome look and it looks really natural, I really think you should keep that look at 4:29. When I see people dye their beard dark it just looks like a solid color and very unnatural and anyone could obviously tell it's dyed, because beards are suppose to be kind of multi colored, i have completely white hairs in my beard, not because its going grey/white, and it almost looks like fishing line, as what it reminds me of
The KAF is semi-transparent which lets some of the color and tones come through.
I almost had a heart attack until I realized it was temporary dye...
Lilian Miramontes, Jr. No shit
You almost had a heart attack because a guy on RUclips dyes his beard dark ? 🤔
Lilian Miramontes, Jr. Why? There is nothing wrong with dying your hair or beard.
That's a little extreme.. get a grip lol
I can't believe how much younger you look when you put color in your hair and beard. Wow! I'm sure without the beard and having your hair colored dark you would look even younger. You look more vibrant with color in your hair. You are a handsome man regardless. I'm your age. I wish I could do something to make me look younger. Maybe I'll try this too! Thanks for being so brave!
You just deducted few decades off your face. What's the name of the products? And happy new year from India. Cheers.
It was like Greg stepped into a time machine!
- Jack
Jack added the products above
I like both and i think both can work well but I do believe I favor the white and silver look more
although there grey is nice you look younger after
It's definitely a very different look on Greg!
- Jack
The gray beard makes you look more distinguished. The dark beard makes you look awesome. Both looks makes you look very handsome!!
you look better grey
i agree.It ads prestige.
I've been thinking about doing this for the past few weeks. Thank you for this video
The white looks awesome, looks like the witcher
Geralt of Riveria in real life, maybe?
- Jack
You can pull off any color. You could probably pull off a pink or purple beard. Seriously any color. You have the perfect undertone in your skin to do so.
I stripped my beard to do a a Santa gig then dyed it back...I fried it. Had to shave it off. Starting back fresh. I miss my beard. NEVER dye your beard....NEVER. embrace it. Please my fellow beardsman don't make the same mistake I did.
did u use a beard specific dye because they have less toxic ingrediants i dye my beard every now and than with just for mens bread cause its not full but i notice the hairs still grow
Regular Old Plumbus I did NOT. I used womans hair dye. Big mistake. I'm not putting anything in it this time around except beard oils and balms that I make myself.
Billy Griffis Too late! However, I didn't fry my hair.
Mark Hoffman I won't make the same mistake again.
i recommend Just for Men Beard dye it almost feels like it's natural it barely smells toxic, hasnt stained my skin and it wears off after a while and it is more than one use i have to go buy more but 1 tone down
So happy it’s temporary color!!! You can pull off the dark hair too but I love gray/silver.
Awesome video sir 👌 you look 20 year old with white beard and 15 with this 😄😍
bahaha
Greg Berzinsky
Watch out, you gonna have to deal with teenage girls now !
Heimrik01 hahah yes 🙄
Global Entertainment Just my teenage daughter Ava!
LOL
suits you man, I was surprised at the end result! before you turned the camera off I was thinking oh no! but it turned out great, it suits you both head and beard and makes you look younger and more dynamic! thanks
I hate it i love your silver beard
Interesting look, personally I don't think I will ever have the guts to do it. How are you liking the new look so far?
This looked like a lot of fun! I might go temp. carrot red for a family party and see who's the first to mention it.....(shuffle, cough, shuffle etc)
I thought it would look disastrous! But it's actually not that bad... You look good in a white as well as a black beard
Looks great really it does make your eyes stand out more with the dark hair good job looking healthy
First time I ever seen it done it looks really good I will give it a try it myself thank you
Im only 32 and I have a lot of grey hairs especially on the sides and I don’t dye my hair, on the other hand I do occasionally dye my beard, not because it’s grey but because it has a mixture of colours. One thing to mention is that when I dye my beard it does look fuller.
An imperial is a specific handlebar mustache with with a pronounced curl. Handlebar mustache is a broad term that basically covers any mustache that is styled up out of the beard. Love the channel keep up the great content.
I bought some Touch of Gray today and will just touch up my stash and goatee NOT using the big applicator. Ill use a tiny brush that is used to clean my electric shaved do I don't mess it up. i want a subtle look.
You look great either way, but what I think aides your attractiveness is that fact that you are very well groomed. Silver hair is awesome. I can't wait for my hubby to go full silver like his dad, but I have a very long wait.
I was one of those saying don't do it but, as ever, u still look smooth with dyed hair. I would only say do the burns, too, to complete the look.
The smoothest man alive just can't lose! Lol. Take care, Greg, and as always, beard on and, stay smooth.
YES---I needed a little more sideburn coverage. I might sit for a portrait with it done again, and I will be sure to get it all.
Gregg , you could go back to a lighter colour after going dark ?
I’m looking to go lighter as I dyed mine a tad to dark
