6ft3 and fit as a fiddle. hair, beard attitude of a biblical saint..keep crushing Mr.Berzinsky your beautiful family and accomplishments are inspirational to alll!
Agree with everything except the looking great with age part. Does a young model prove you can look great with youth? Some men age well, some even improve their relative attractiveness but its entirely individual. For sure take care of yourself the way greg has, but don't expect to look like freakin Zeus dude
Greg, I admire you for your honesty and ability to express your feelings. In many ways, you remind me much of myself. I completely understand why many young men look up to you. I remember one young guy on the Beardsmen website saying, “I want to be like you when I’m an older guy.” I can completely see why boys and young men want to emulate you. You are and would be an excellent mentor for young men. Your message of being content with your situation, whatever it is, is an important outlook to have about life and to share with others. You’re my favorite representative of the Beardsmen product line and you are probably one of the, if not the, most important and admired faces of this company. Keep up your good work and your very healthy attitude on living.
Hi Dr. Elinski, We definitely agree with your thoughts on Greg. He's a very inspirational gentleman to many young men, myself included. We really appreciate your support and comments. Thanks, and Keep on Growing! - Jack
This is my first time seeing this interview, after watching a handful of Greg's videos. He's very well-spoken and intelligent. Hats off to you, Mr. Berzinsky.
Great interview Greg & Eric! Eric: I have really enjoyed all these interviews with you, Carlos Costa, Jeff Buonchristiano & now Greg because they are real and show the human side of all of you. All 4 of you are from different walks of life, with different backgrounds, different struggles growing up. All 4 of you grew beards at different times in your lives for different reasons. There is no stereotype for a beardsman. Similar to Greg, I work in a technical field, electrical & automation engineering and did not start growing my beard until by 40's. I consider myself an urban beardsman. Thank you Eric for helping make beards more acceptable in this country and around the world particularly in technical professions like engineering. The culture has changed tremendously in the past 5 years & is definitely more accepting of beardsmen in all walks of life. Much of that is thanks to you and your efforts. Thank you!
Really really appreciate this comment. We set out to let the fans in on the personal lives of our personalities a little more with this series and it seems like that has definitely been accomplished. It was interesting to hear how drastically different each background and story was from each of the four beardsmen. It truly shows that a group of even the most diverse people can come together for something that they're passionate about. Thank you for your support and your feedback! Keep on growing!
Great interview. I am in my mid fourtyes and it is the first time I am growing a beard. I also suffered bullying as a kid, being skinny, shy and unsecured made me the perfect target. To compensate even as an adult, I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It helped gaining confidence a lot. I love your videos and I wish I could buy some of your products. Regards from Spain.
Great interview. I am just getting introduced to beardbrand. It is really nice to see a men's grooming company having discussions like this. It definitely shows you are more than another product pusher. I really respect your story Greg. It many ways it's similar to mine. I suffered from many abuses and insecurities throughout my life based on childhood events. I have sense grown to live a content life. It's a shame that many haven't learned what the word, "content", really means. I still wrestle and struggle with some things but it serves as motivation to keep growing. My beard is kind of a representation of that. Not only growth but contentment. It was kind of born from pain. Once again thank you for your story. I thank you for your courage in sharing it. I look forward to future beardbrand content and also trying beardbrand product.
Greg and I have very similar stories. I played sports, but was not the most athletic, so I migrated towards music and art. I played drums, so in my case that's an instrument that's deemed as a little bit cooler than trombone. I was also a skinny guy with skinny legs. I was 5'10" and 130lbs when I graduated HS. I've always been self conscious about my body and had to deal with the teasing from other students and uncles too! Now that I workout and am a lot bigger I do feel more confident, but those emotional scars run deep! Thank you for being open in this interview Greg. You and Anthony Varrecchia have been my inspirations for my beard!
As a young man, 32 myself - I would be extremely happy if I could be half the "man" Mr Berzinsky is when I hit his age - This guy is the definition of a gentleman - A True man!
I can relate to a lot of what Greg is saying. I am artistic, from a large family, the quiet sensitive one with issues about being skinny. I am 49 now and only recently found i could grow a beard. The great thing about Greg and the whole Beardbrand "brand" is that i feel i am not to old to have style, feel expressive about how i look and feel and when Greg talks openly i realise that honesty to how you feel and expressing that helps others. gives confidence.Women are great when it comes to being supportive, networking amongst friends, etc.Beards can give your look, face , a new dimension, bravo Beardbrand and Greg for helping to develop ideas, support, products, and advice to nurture this.
This is such a nice interview. Not just for Greg's input, but for Eric's. Eric really cares about Greg and about finding out about him and what he's gone through. It's very selfless and caring. It's almost like a counselling session in parts. Such a lovely video.
Greg is so regal that it never occurred to me that he came from a blue collar background. Also, I keep telling ppl that there might be some beard hairs that are just to lazy to grow and it might take weeks, month, years, or even decades before they'll start growing out. Greg is proof positive of that.
My upbringing has made me the man that I am today, and I wouldn't go back and change it. Keep On Growing---it's more than a catch phrase--we have to use our situations for growth. (Although, I did work to tone down my Western Pennsylvania accent.... :) )
There's nothing wrong with manual laborers. Without them the rest of the world would shut down. However, with you being Zeus-like, I never considered you having a "modest" upbringing. It's cool. Plus it's inspiration for younger ppl in that it shows them they don't have to just settle for "family tradition".
Hi Greg, may I ask what you use in your hair to maintain your look. It's really nice & like to achieve the look also what # at the top & sides, thanks.
Great video! Humble man from humble beginnings. I believe that’s what most people like about Mr Brzezinski. Thanks for sharing and opening up about some personal things. Some of these things were very hurtful in your life but they helped shape you into the man you are today. Your a good man. A good husband and father and I’am sure a good friend to all who know you. God bless you and your family. Amen! Beard On!
Geez ... the more I see and get to know about Greg the more awesome he becomes. Obviously, everyone is human and all that ... but thanks for sharing some bits of your story and advice.
Interesting back story Greg. It’s neat to learn what makes up a man. This series of videos has been most excellent. Eric, you are a natural interviewer. I feel like you could make just about anyone open up. Peace and Love gentlemen.
This is a great very personal interview. Thanks for being so open. Here in NZ there are so many immigrants, like myself. We all certainly want the best for our kids and will do whatever is needed to help them achieve the best.
Great interview. I think Greg is a nice down-to-earth kind of man. I've been following this channel quite regularly and I am impressed with the interaction with the spokespersons. Keep up the great work and have a fantastic new year. My beard is coming along well and following your tips.
Really glad you enjoyed the video! Greg is absolutely one of the kindest and most genuine gentlemen around (as are Carlos, Eric, Jeff, and the other guys we feature) Happy New Year and keep on growing! - Jack
thanks beardbrand you guys are great. Thanks for all of the advice you give about beards and the care it takes to have one. You guys along with george bruno have helped me in my beard journey, thanks again and greg just wanted to say that you are one cool dude!
Hi Greg great video. I'm just wonderingwhat kind of advice you have for a young man in his early thirties that is interested in architecture? I am an artist myselfand I've always been fond and taken a liking into character drawings and realism but lately I have been thinking of my future and considering a career in architecture. If you ever get a chance to read my comment I love and appreciate your wisdom. Any advice would be great. Thanks for oh and epic beard to!!! Cheers Z
So much from my family background has contributed to who I am today---too much to put into a short segment. The place where I grew up, my extended family, my church and faith, my siblings, etc. ---all add to the journey.
Thanks Greg, would love to hear more in the future. Music and drawing are still a passion of mine. Actually I went to school for architecture as well, but ended up changing to engineering.
You guys are awesome! Watching your channel over the last few months has made some really great changes in my life. Berzinsky, you are one bad ass older man with one hell of a great beard!
damn. Greg is a good man!! I never saw much other content on here besides Jack's yeard that's how i started to hear about yall. now i am hooked and watch any and everything yall post.
Oh thin . When my wife and I were talking about having kids, i didn't want a boy. I wanted only girls, for fear the boy would be built like me... THIN!.. My 2nd child is a boy and he is Thin to the point of scrawny. But boy do I love him to no end. I just wish I could take the punishment from kids for him. Of coarse, I'm discovering that girls are ruthless too and life lessons will make us who we are today.
Saw your products at my local Target today. I'd say Greg is a hero of mine. To go from being bullied to an extremely accomplished man. I understand his story... 6'1 104 lbs and not an athlete in high school. The early 80s were tough. I Pray for kids today.
That is the fun part about aging, You are NOT stuck at being what you were in high school. I get tired of people asking me what I was like in high school. It was 4 years out of hopefully 100 -- Why do those 4 years have such much validity or favour over any other later years of your life. Put it like this, Most can't grow a full beard in high school, now you can... There are a lot of things that you are or arn't that you turn out to be or don't later on. Physical changes, interests changes, change is good; And to tie it back to Beardbrand, 'growth is good'. Don't let the past haunt you, unless you were a dick -- maybe a little haunting is good for the sake of your character development.
You know what i have also noticed.. I think people take into deep consideration of your looks, if you look like someone that a person didn't have a good transaction with in the past,, they will pre-judge the future look a-likes. It is kinda weird how that works.
Vital Chance I hear what you are saying about high school and I agree that a person should spend their whole life learning and developing. With that being said, I think there is emphasis placed on high school because this is the time when a person transitions from child to young adult. It is one of the benchmarks in an individuals development. Peace and Love bro
Right on - people develop different traits and perspective through out time, I appreciate all human gifts, not just what is trendy at the time. I wish I could gain all gifts at once and or experience as much as possible through out the time allowed. Trauma from the past and present should not handicap your future. But, then there is always that thing called money that holds back/ handicaps the many.
Great interview - thanks for opening up like that, Greg. Like others, I admire your style a lot. And that you love your wife - beautiful photos of you both on Insta. I have a Question: I see that you wear a watch and a bracelet on your left wrist. What kind of bracelet is that? Is it uncomfortable to wear both? Thanks.
I didnt serious lift until I was about 33, although, I did on and off stuff in my 20s. Its really been since 45, though--I have solid rountines now, and a better diet.
He seems like an ultra-cool dude. Gotta say, i'm 41 and have the exact hair and beard color. Dude is like 40 tho, not in his 50s like he claims. Some of us go grey early. Ey it works for me lol.
Ya like Matthew said it's a 1960's Omega Genève that was passed down to me when my grandfather passed. Same goes with my necklace. You can pick the watch up for a couple hundred bucks on Ebay, but of course it has more value to me than that.
Wow. So much to say but I'll try to keep it simple because there were reasons why I felt I can identify with Greg. What was big was the bullying and being picked on growing up but the fact he said he was very sensitive to it made me wonder, "Is he a Libra like me?" Looked up his bday and he's more like a cusp Libra/Scorpio. I also was big into drawing all my life til 10th grade and wasn't completely a typical "alpha male" but I loved sports and excelled in them. Another mind blower, although I should know not to judge a book by it's cover, is his blue collar, working class background with parents who didn't finish high school, and they were loud. Lol. Such humble beginnings for a smooth, soft spoken and classy man. I got 12 more years before hitting 56 but I hope my beard will take off like his by then! Stay smooth, Greg. You're an inspiration on many levels!
Thank you Trey for the comments and response. My upbringing did mold me---I wouldnt have changed it. The sacrificial love of my folks is something to emulate---they so often put the needs of each other and of their children before their own....and I couldnt thank them enough.
6ft3 and fit as a fiddle. hair, beard attitude of a biblical saint..keep crushing Mr.Berzinsky your beautiful family and accomplishments are inspirational to alll!
Greg's the definition of a gentleman and the proof that you can look great with age. I loved his story, he's a good storyteller. Great interview
Thank you Nuno---Eric made the interview easy in order to tell my story.
Thanks Theo--You can tell alot from even a photo (and stories on IG pulls the veneer back to just show the real person)
Agree with everything except the looking great with age part. Does a young model prove you can look great with youth? Some men age well, some even improve their relative attractiveness but its entirely individual. For sure take care of yourself the way greg has, but don't expect to look like freakin Zeus dude
As well as a seriously cool dude Greg seems like a genuinely nice person to talk to. A consummate gentleman.
A great Family Man too I'd bet!

The beard can look professional. Good Grooming--cut, style, etc.--can make the difference. I know a great place to get styling aides......
Great interview. I am in my mid fourtyes and it is the first time I am growing a beard. I also suffered bullying as a kid, being skinny, shy and unsecured made me the perfect target. As a young man, 32 myself - I would be extremely happy if I could be half the "man" Mr Berzinsky is when I hit his age - This guy is the definition of a gentleman - A True man!
Love to see you both together.
Great interview.
✌️👌👍 BEARDBRAND 👍👌✌️
Keep On Growing.........
Greg's stories are awesome and his storytelling is even better! What an enjoyable and fully heartwarming conversation that was!
I really like Greg's story,and his hair in this video...man it's amazing!
+Alem Hudović The style and story make for an amazing combo!
- Jack
Thanks Alem---you get to see the hair from different angles here----thanks.
Great interview! I'm from Poland living in the U.S. so it was nice to know we share something in common besides interest in long hair 😀

Greg is so articulate. He's an architecture that explains it.
Architect, lol
This is such a nice interview. Not just for Greg's input, but for Eric's. Eric really cares about Greg and about finding out about him and what he's gone through. It's very selfless and caring. It's almost like a counselling session in parts. Such a lovely video.

Thank you for your comment---and good luck with your beard growth.
Outstanding job by both of you! Keep on growing and setting examples!
Great interview, thank you for sharing. You are both inspiring individuals, keep up the good work.
Greg seems like a great role model for young guys, and I love how his parents also didn't go to college (relate to that). A real gentleman.
thanks beardbrand you guys are great. Thanks for all of the advice you give about beards and the care it takes to have one. You guys along with george bruno have helped me in my beard journey, thanks again and greg just wanted to say that you are one cool dude!

A very insightful and inspiring interview. As someone who has experienced similar adversity, truly motivational. Thank you for sharing Greg

Greg'a style is dope! He is always on point 👌🏻
Excellent video! 👍
Greg is awesome!!! I’m growing my beard out and taking his recommendations. Now, to get some of your products.
Saw your products at my local Target today. I'd say Greg is a hero of mine. To go from being bullied to an extremely accomplished man. I understand his story... 6'1 104 lbs and not an athlete in high school. The early 80s were tough. I Pray for kids today.
Great and informative interview!
Greg has some very interesting stories, doesn't he?
- Jack
I want to be his friend.
He's the best
I grew up around Johnstown too! So cool!
Small world!

23:57 And Greg sticks his gum nonchalantly to the underside of the table. Is there anything about this dude that isn’t smooth? Great interview!
Look again, its on his leg. Lol
Thanks.
Great video greg. At what age did you start to lift?
I didnt serious lift until I was about 33, although, I did on and off stuff in my 20s. Its really been since 45, though--I have solid rountines now, and a better diet.

Bullies?
Good ol' Greg Beardzinsky!
Inspirational,keep it up...
Y'all have great beard one day I will let mine grow out when I get out of the oil field.
Gerg why didnt you coloured your beard
Greg is very fit for a guy in their 50s, fitter than some guys in their 20s. He works out a lot.
There are overweight people of all ages. Man's in shape, but you phrased that strangely
Yay for the artistic band geeks!
Band geeks unite!

greg is my beard dad
He seems like an ultra-cool dude. Gotta say, i'm 41 and have the exact hair and beard color. Dude is like 40 tho, not in his 50s like he claims. Some of us go grey early. Ey it works for me lol.
He says he died his hair until his 50s, what makes you say he's lying?
@@rockyevans1584 no idea i wrote that comment almost 4 years ago lol
@@vincentvonelf6366 well, I'd like to put some blame on the RUclips algorithm, but I could have definitely taken note of that date lol
Great guys
Eric really took 1 min 21 secs to ask a question with a simple answer ( 20:22 - 21:43 )
Congrats on your rolex Eric....business must be good :)
Shaf Serious it’s an Omega he inherited from his grandfather
Ya like Matthew said it's a 1960's Omega Genève that was passed down to me when my grandfather passed. Same goes with my necklace. You can pick the watch up for a couple hundred bucks on Ebay, but of course it has more value to me than that.
@@EricBandholz sorry for your loss what a cool item to have with you daily
At what age did Greg start growing his beard?
Not sure exactly but I believe it was past 50
Why this attention on bullying? It is a part of this life. We can overcome.
Greg Berzinsky - You're welcome, Greg.... That's definitely apart of good parenting and it served u well. Cheers.
