Only ever have one complaint stork. The only one i ever had in the past ten years, we dont see enough of you man. Great video dude.. We both got into boxing around the same time so i understand your frustration with the decline of the sport. PEACE
Welcome back! I agree with you 100% and your idea is a great idea. Put them in a room with no sound or influences. Surprised you didn’t mention the mayweather exhibition. I take that back, exhibitions have been a lot more competitive lol.
@ Juan Hernandez - People have very little idea as to how close the sport of boxing came to its DEATH if McGregor would have won the fight (any way possible) scored a draw, or lost a controversial decision.
Good to see you back man I understand where you’re coming from with the dilution of boxing I’ve been saying that too That’s why it’s not a more popular mainstream sport because it’s confusing and corrupt it’s confusing to follow and corrupt As a millennial I found your Millennial comment hilarious because it is true most millennial’s think Mike Tyson is the best heavyweight champ ever I believe when they say that they are relying too much on the I test I myself believe Mike Tyson is one of the biggest underachievers in boxing history on the boxing Judges point you made I agree with you are 100% with today’s technology why not use it to the fullest I thought triple G won the fight also
Thanks! Its simple logic that escapes most people about Tyson. If Mitch Green, Bonecrusher Smith, and Tony Tucker could pretty much neutralize Tyson from scoring a KO against them, why in the hell do they think he could be competitive with Ali, Louis, Lewis, and the Klitschkos? The judges are ridiculous, if Canelo was given the fight by split dec all having it 7-5 one way or another I have no complaints. But come on, 10-2 for the guy most people think lost? Or give Sor Rungvisai a decision over a guy that just LANDED 400+ punches on him and outscored him by nearly 200?
boxinginfo They are Basing it on the eye test completely ignoring the resume Plus he was only 12 rounds twice if I remember correctly bone crusher smith razor ruddick 2 I believe the Mitch green fight was 10 round fight
Great to see you back, man. Look forward to seeing your thoughts on Joshua-Klitschko, Ward-Kovalev 2, Brook-Spence and the upcoming Lomachenko-Rigondeaux. I actually wasn't that surprised by how either guy looked. Canelo's high level experience, timing and speed was being underminded a bit and GGG had been looking somewhat vulnerable to sharp counters in his fights with Brook and Jacobs. Definitely thought GGG won but I'm not sure a rematch gets better for him. I agree with you about corruption and I think they bank on people to not care as much if the actual fights are at least entertaining. Golden Boy wouldn't have made this fight if there weren't contingency's.
Was just thinking about you this morning! Harold Lederman's counter to judges watching it on tv is that you dont hear the sound of the punches. Personally I dont think that's a good enough reason. Watching it on tv gives a much better overall view.
@Boxinginfo, dude we probably had the best year in boxing in years. We got the match ups we want. I think you should be encouraged that we are getting the fights we want!
This fight reminds me of Mayweather vs Canelo. I don't think GGG expected Canelo to be more elusive. People were expecting the fight to be more like Canelo vs Kirkland
@boxinginfo....just watched this video and saw you mentioned me haha. I never said GGG wasn't good, I just wanted him to prove all the hype. I thought he probably won the fight too but it was very close. I'm sorry but why has Triple G's sudden supposed "decline" coincided with the exact moment he's stepped up in class? And what has caused this slowing down process? It's not like he's had any tough fights
Its not the tough fights its the number of fights, training camps, the number of amateur bouts, and to me it looks like he's caught PPV disease. You know where they are always holding back just enough to protect/insure their next payday. And as far as "stepping up in class" goes I'll say a few things, nobody has been beating down his door to fight him until the Brook fight and now they think he's vulnerable. Maybe he is and maybe since neither Brook, Jacobs, or Canelo really did anything special or spectacular he just does enough to best them and move on. Unfortunately for GGG there aren't enough Lemieux's or Curtis Stevens left to really make him shine. Billy Joe Saunders is talking a real big game for a guy who couldn't dis connect Lemieux from his feet let alone stop him, and I will say he might be able to do enough to STINK out a win vs GGG or Canelo but the real good fights for GGG is when guys actually show up to try to knock him out, personally I'm not interested in seeing somebody pull a Jermain Taylor over Hopkins on GGG.
Andre Ward wanted to fight him and his camp didn't want that fight. That was a chance to prove greatness and become a star in one fight. Instead he feasted on a bunch of fringe contenders who he could knock over waiting for the Canelo fight. As for Saunders, he put on a masterclass against Lemiuex. Golovkin is a different kettle of fish but you can't put caveats and preemptive excuses on it if he beats GGG. He will deserve credit whether you happen to like his style of fighting or not. You want people to show up to knock Golovkin out? That's basically saying you just want guys Golovkin can look good against rather than seeing him tested. He has a good chin, not many are going to hurt him, let alone KO him at Middleweight.
HEEEY Islander! "...maybe with a stormtrooper holding a gun to their head!". HAH! It'd be interesting to play these fights back solely from the vantage points of the person scoring. Like have a camera behind each one so we can see if we see what they see. Then compare it to our multi-camera view and make a qualitative judgment. As I get older, these types of decisions add so much stress and disgust that that becomes a bigger factor in deciding whether I want to watch a fight than when I was younger. And you're right- the more nonsense they add like with all the weight classes feels like just "one more thing". Shit, I want 15 brought back.
ere it goes: battle of sugars ray robinson vs ray leonard 147 15 rounds, Mosley/Chavez sr 135, henry Armstrong/duran 135 or 147,jack Dempsey/rocky Marciano, kid gavilan/hearns 147, pintor/donaire 118, prime Chavez sr/kostya 140, barrera/Gomez 122, Arguello/paquiao 130 or 135, and joe louis/tyson
Robinson by comfortable decision, Chavez, Duran at 135, Armstrong at 147, Marciano - had the better chin, Hearns, Pintor, Chavez much like what Vince Phillips did to Kostya, Gomez going away, Arguello at both weights. Probably Louis if he could survive an early knock down then comeback to win by KO himself.
hahah, iknew you would be back! This is just what the doctor ordered! anyways, i have to agree that ggg won but it was a very close fight. I dont believe that gg has lost it i just think he never fought someone with canelo's skillset and ability just like canelo hadn't fought anyone like gg. I would however give canelo the edge in a rematch .
@ tonyman2c Has GGG ever fought the way I described in the video? No not entirely. Has he told large audiences that he wants to fight Mexican Style? Many times. Has Abel Sanchez not been quoted as saying he expects Canelo to break down just from the intensity of the fight? YES he did! Does anybody think that the pedestrian pace they fought this fight would produce a world class boxer to just break down? NO! Has GGG fought at a much higher rate and intensity in the past? Ask Marco Antonio Rubio and Curtis Stevens.
Only ever have one complaint stork. The only one i ever had in the past ten years, we dont see enough of you man. Great video dude.. We both got into boxing around the same time so i understand your frustration with the decline of the sport. PEACE
It's always nice to see a new video from you Islander. I too, am disenchanted with boxing and multiple belt holders.
Gd to see you back, bro. Pleasure to again come across your sanity and perspicacity.

best boxing channel period
Was just thinking about you this morning! Harold Lederman's counter to judges watching it on tv is that you dont hear the sound of the punches. Personally I dont think that's a good enough reason. Watching it on tv gives a much better overall view.
A boxinginfo upload! Rare events do happen from time to time.
@Boxinginfo, dude we probably had the best year in boxing in years. We got the match ups we want. I think you should be encouraged that we are getting the fights we want!
Encouraged is what I was before the GGG-Canelo bout if only we could convince Mayweather to get in the ring with Terrance Crawford.
boxinginfo that will never happen
Hey man great to see you back
I also have lost interest in boxing, it just took me a while longer to get to that point
Good to see a new video Islander
Good morning friend...
Buenos dias mi amigo!
Finally you are back!!!!
I've always thought judges should score the fight on a monitor.
This fight reminds me of Mayweather vs Canelo. I don't think GGG expected Canelo to be more elusive. People were expecting the fight to be more like Canelo vs Kirkland
I expected it to be like the first Pryor-Arguello fight.
boxinginfo those fight days are gone it's all about milking the fans just like Ward vs Kovalev. By the way did you do a commentary on Ward vs Kovalev?
boxinginfo my bad you did already. Wow that was 10 months ago. I remembered the days when you use to do a vid every month.
I used to a video every week
Welcome back.
@chrislarissa thank you!

Good to see you back anyway. I need to catch up on all your videos!

Once again I use to be abovebeneath when you first started making videos,
Keep that avitar and I'll always know you!

Don't undertstand your expectation ggg fighting the Mexican style that you described because he has never fight like that.
@ tonyman2c Has GGG ever fought the way I described in the video? No not entirely. Has he told large audiences that he wants to fight Mexican Style? Many times.
