Not true islander, you do have people watching; i absolutely love these dream fight breakdowns. fights today are usually mismatches that i dont care for lol
haha, thanks for the analysis islander, i really like how u break these dream fights down. its like you said, most of these could go either way. for example, the reason why i placed hearns /Monzon fight is because i think hearns height and reach could have troubled him. The thing about it is that hearns could still crack really hard, possibly more than hagler i mean roldan almost went 10 rounds and it took an accumulation of shots to stop him while hearns scored multiple knockdowns right from the get go and ended up knocking Roldan out cold lol. You mention benvenuti, but i dont think benvenuti had the raw athletic ability of hearns, although i will admit Hearns had chin issues and wasn't as strong at that weight.
Correct again, my vision of how this dream fight would end was like the 1st Benvenuti fight although I think Hearns would have been far more even with Monzon up to that point.
Happy new year Islander, love the dream fights one I've always fantasised about is a post prison Tyson (96) vs a young fit David Tua what are you're thoughts ?
Ok, heres my new years list, again answer at your discretion and pace, here it goes:Whitaker/mayweather 135, pacquiao/gomez 122, pacquiao/sanchez 126 or 130, billy petrolle/chavez 135, lennox lewis/foreman, chavez/camacho 135 1986, pedroza/sanchez 126, morales/donaire 122 ,james toney/Golovkin, Bob foster/spinks, and foster/galindez
I've never asked anyone this question, but I've always wondered about it. Was there a visible difference between 15 RDS and 12 RDS? That is, was there a noticeable increase in volume over the 12? I watch 12 RDs and I can foresee how they're gonna play out, I only think in 12 RD logic, I just have no idea about 15 RD fights at all. This sounds like a good thesis to look at, if the data is available from the 15 RD period of boxing.
Some similarities but I think Pavlik had a vastly superior amateur background and more weapons than the right hand. His jab was vastly under rated ask Jermaine Taylor, and his upper cuts were just as dangerous as his right hand ask Edison.
Got some matchups for you Islander: Roy Jones Jr. vs. Michael Spinks @175 Pernell Whitaker vs. Floyd Mayweather @140 Terence Crawford vs. Kosta Tzuyu @140 Oscar De La Hoya vs. Tommy Hearns @147 Canelo Alvarez vs. Terry Norris @154 Salvador Sanchez vs. Vasyl Lomanchenko @126 Pacquiao vs. Chavez Sr. @135
I would have liked Pintor to have won, but I could see a prime Chandler cutting him up from a distance. Pintor's main advantage he had over everybody he fought - endurance was absolutely nullified by Chandler, it might have gotten ugly if Chandler was motivated.
Correct, but I can easily envision Hearns getting caught either reaching or missing. Monzon was one of the best opportunists and he would have gotten to the Hearns chin more and more over 15 rounds.
Think you are thinking of Danny Williams, he beat Tyson then got trashed by Vitali I thought Hopkins looked totally shot, he was moving like a 50 year old, unless it was kidology, Joe Smith Jr was winning handily

Good boxing talk.
Happy holidays everyone and we're going to have a jam packed 2017 if the first quarter is anything to go by.

Ill be adding New years special dream fights, lol
I can hear something playing in the background....
Its the movie Spy Game on the MacProBook, For Love or Country on one Dell, and The Natural on the other, and the radio on the iPad.
What a horrible way to see an all time great time like BHOP go out in that fashion.
To my eyes, Jones was looking pretty drawn at 160 by the time he won a title. I think Hagler knocking him out is very plausible.

Very good question I will address in the next video. The answer is astoundingly YES.
Can we say that Joe Smith is like a Kelly Pavlik??? What are your thoughts?
Some similarities but I think Pavlik had a vastly superior amateur background and more weapons than the right hand. His jab was vastly under rated ask Jermaine Taylor, and his upper cuts were just as dangerous as his right hand ask Edison.
Got some matchups for you Islander:
Roy Jones Jr. vs. Michael Spinks @175
Pernell Whitaker vs. Floyd Mayweather @140
Terence Crawford vs. Kosta Tzuyu @140
Oscar De La Hoya vs. Tommy Hearns @147
Canelo Alvarez vs. Terry Norris @154
Salvador Sanchez vs. Vasyl Lomanchenko @126
Pacquiao vs. Chavez Sr. @135
what if Sanchez hadn't died, moved up to Super Feather and fought Chavez? The greatest Mexican fight since Zarate Zamora?
Am, am, turn off the screensaver when you make videos.
Disagree on Duran vs Pryor. I see Duran's defense and superior body work giving him the edge in a 9-6 or 8-7 fight.
Speaking of Jeff Chandler and dream fights how bout one that was missed Chandler vs lupe pintor
I would have liked Pintor to have won, but I could see a prime Chandler cutting him up from a distance. Pintor's main advantage he had over everybody he fought - endurance was absolutely nullified by Chandler, it might have gotten ugly if Chandler was motivated.
also, roldan was giving hearns trouble because of the pressure; i dont believe Monzon could do the same
Correct, but I can easily envision Hearns getting caught either reaching or missing. Monzon was one of the best opportunists and he would have gotten to the Hearns chin more and more over 15 rounds.
I could see that also LOL
I'm preparing my next list of dream fights as we speak LMAO
Maybe i can also do a fantasy dream fights political edition , favorite presidents LOL
Think you are thinking of Danny Williams, he beat Tyson then got trashed by Vitali
I thought Hopkins looked totally shot, he was moving like a 50 year old, unless it was kidology, Joe Smith Jr was winning handily
You are correct and I agree Smith was winning going away, there was no way BHOP was going to catch up after a 10-8 or 10-7 8th round on my scorecard.
