This song was playing on the jukebox when my friends left the bar for the final time together after college graduation! Always brings back those memories when I hear it.
This song was the song on the radio in the garage after my father committed suicide. I stood there in disbelief and shock and a million miles away in the back of my mind I remember this song playing
Sister I know exactly how you felt. I lost both of my parents and two siblings. I would give my whole life for a few minutes with them. Blessings from Texas
Lysi, you have yourself a good man. His immediate reaction to you shows his love for you. Great reaction guys. This song accomplished what it was written for. It brought about reflection of moments in ones life. If a song write can get emotion of someone from their song then they have done their job.
I get it,my grandma was my rock growing up the way I did, when she passed I had a real hard time I spiraled down for a while, lost a sports scholarship, started getting in trouble,I wish I woulda handled it better than I did for sure
Im so sorry for your loss. I lost a bunch of people in last 5yrs, my gram, my uncle (2nd dad) 3 of my aunts an in last yr i lost both of my parents. Life has been hard but really really struggling for last year.
Y’all may be Yankees but I am inducting you guys into the honorary southerner family. After your rendition of The Way I Talk I knew it then! And when your eyes and ears (and hearts) have been opened to the beauty of country music, you just can’t escape it. When you know you know! As the scripture states “my cup runneth over.” That’s how country music (and music in general) fills my heart with joy. And Lysi, no need to explain. I was just as close to my grandad and no other music nails those feelings as perfectly as Country. Btw, Scotty has been and still is with his wife for all this time. Matter of fact, not sure if y’all know but Scotty was an American Idol. He was like 15 and he was dating the same girl then. Like I said, when you know, you know. ♥️ Great reaction!
thank you so much JWmson !! and you're a 100% right, country music has a special place in this world. We learned about him being on American Idol after we posted our reaction, thats really cool. hope you have a great weekend, thank you for watching our videos
I was very close to my grandfather as well he died in 87 and he was my best friend so I get it that you had to have that moment I'm very sorry for her loss from the bottom of my heart I know the feeling
This song makes me break down like a baby on the last verse I lost my grandpa almost 2 years ago he was the strongest man I knew and the man who raised me I miss him every day
I'm right there with you guys. I'm about to be 43, met my wife in high school, my boys be 18 and 21 this year, I've lost both my parents over the last 12 years, lost my Grandmother a few months ago, all the great memories are in the past. I listen to this song from time to time and each time I wish I had five more minutes more and more. Songs and lyrics defiantly hit harder with each passing day. Hold onto the good times and the great memories because at the end of the day it's all we have. Great real raw emotional reaction.
This song always makes me cry. Makes me think of the wonderful memories of those I've lost. And wanting just 5 more minutes with them. Wonderful reaction
Oh Gosh...I'm born and raised here in Music City and I don't really listen to country but growing up within it as you get older some resonates, Im hearing a lot of these for the first time watching yall and I will be watery-eyed every time along with you!
I saw Scotty live in Nashville in 2018. My grandfather had just died the month before, and I had never heard this song before. By the time he finished performing it I was sobbing. It was a combination of sad tears for my grandfathers death, and happy tears for hearing a song that I resonated with so deeply. Thank you so much for your reaction! ❤️
My heart string pulled when he cut the video for that moment. Makes me wonder how much longer i will have left with my grandfather. He's in his mid or late 70's, but I feel where you're coming from. I lost my uncle whom i was really close too passed away, and i couldn't help but cry my heart out at his funeral. God bless you.
oh girl im 62 years old and my grandfather was my hero and still is i help carry him to his resting place but everytime i hear this song and i wish grandpas never died i burst into tears and i just cry cry becoming an old man myself soon it will be my grandchildren who will cry when they heart this great heart hun
I lost both grandparents recently not a year apart from each other. There are times where I can hear a song on the radio and just breakdown crying on the side of the road. I pray you find comfort in the fact that they are in a better place and no longer have to live in this uncertainty we are living in now. As I say that I understand the desire to be with them again even if it is just in a dream.

A little late but that's what's so good about country music. It's relatable and realistic, whether in a sad way, joyful way, or an angry way. And this song touches my heart too. ❤
Great song; you never realize until you're older, all the time that gets wasted in life stressing over things that don't matter in this life. I wish I had "Five more Minutes" to spend with the ones I love the most.
My wife and I just saw Scotty in concert in OKC a few weeks ago. This was a song about his grandpa, and his voice cracked for a brief moment when he sang it. He kept going, though. The whole concert was fun. This song reminds me of my grandpa, as well. I miss him. But I know he's got a few good fishin holes picked out for us in heaven .
This song gets me teared up every time, I barely spent time with my grandmother and she was such a sweet woman and she died suddenly, I just wish I had 5 more minutes with her
You can tell he is a good man. She means a lot to him, you can see he was crying his eyes out with her. That's nothing to be embarrassed about. I think that's something to be proud of. Embrace your love and embrace life. Much love and much appreciation.
I was very close to my grandpa as well and couldn't be there for his last moments. I wish I could have it was only two weeks but I hear you ❤ it was not in Mt control. God bless
Makes me appreciate my folks and all they have done for me. I already lost my dad and about to lose my mom. Thank you Mom and Dad for all the wonderful times and memories.
Lysi, it's OK to be moved by a song. There are numerous songs that are hard for me to listen to after losing my Dad, so I know exactly how you feel. I think most people here love to see honest reactions like yours. I know that I do. So, great job on keeping it real. I am sorry that you lost your Grandpa. I also have fond memories of my Grandpa. I even believe that he visited me one night not long after he passed. People can say it was just in my mind, BUT THEY WEREN'T THERE, so what do they know? Great honest reaction! Loved it! 👍👍
I lost my grandpa in 2020 to COVID, and at the same time had to deal with the loss of my daughter to a miscarriage, i think back to the time I saw her heartbeat for the first time and Ive never felt so much love, that would be the moment i wish I had just five more minutes in, and wishing I got to give my grandpa a proper goodbye, but he died as i boarded my flight home so I never got to see him.
I've been a fan of Scotty since his first audition on American Idol and this song is one of the most impactful songs in my life. A couple months before he released a performance of this song, I had just lost my own grandfather, who was one of my best friends. It definitely hit hard and always makes me think of him when I hear this song.
First time hearing this song and first video ive seen of you guys....i lost my grandpa as well. I instantly broke down as soon as she did. My heart goes out to you
I’ll be honest I completely forgot about this song 😂. Now that I’m a contractor on the road all the time this really hits home every time I have to say bye to the kids for months
Great reaction. This song reminds me of "One More Day" by Diamond Rio. I'd suggest checking that song out if you want another one to pull on the heart strings. For a lighter song by Diamond Rio check out. "It's All In Your Head" or "Bubba Hyde". Thanks for sharing a reaction that I know was tough for you.
thank you for watching our video, and thank you for taking your time to leave us a comment. we're going to try to get to those songs as fast as we can ! hope you have a great weekend :)
I'm pretty sure I was the one who said the American Idol thing, but he did win season 10 of Idol and he's just gotten better every single time. He never makes a bad song. The girl in the video is in fact his wife, who he's known since Kindergarten. They got married in 2018 and are still married and have a baby boy together. He's just now starting to write songs that incorporate his baby in them as well. Some really good Scotty songs for you to eventually try out would be 1. The trouble with girls (one of his first songs and his wife is in it) She wasn't his wife then though. 2.Small town girl 3. It matters to her 4. Damn Strait (talkin' about George Strait who is another country singer and the fact of him being a fan of him growing up before he made it big 5. The Waiter (emotional and will make you cry) 6. In between 7. Why you gotta be like that 8 You time
yea you were the one to mention it ! and thank you for the info, we'll have to check out some of his newer stuff then. And thank you for the list April :)
Not a problem. Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my comments, honestly I don't get mine read much or replied to anywhere else. Need any ideas for people to react to I'm your girl, I've got a huge list lol
Lysi, I can tell you are very sensitive, and that is ok. Artie, you are an awesome man and you show so much love and compassion towards Lysi. I respect you both.
Im glad you guys liked this song Im sorry to hear about your grandpa Lysi I lost all my grandparents I was close to my grandma lost her in 1999 i was 19 I wanted to say John Michael Montgomery The Little Girl but Lysi doest want to cry so save it for when you want her to cry I still tear up to that song but if you want a good Toby Keith song react to Its a little to Late its a good song wont make you cry and I dont see much reactions on it so Ill love to see yours
If this song doesn't get you in the feels at some point, it's because you have no heart. Sorry to hear about Lysi's grandpa. I've lost all my grandparents and I know exactly how hard it is. She has my deepest sympathies.
If you want to laugh, you need to react to Ray Stevens. He sings comedic songs for the most part. I recommend the 1st on be The Mississippi Squirrel Revival, then maybe The Streak, and It's Me Again, Margaret
Such an amazing couple you guys are ! I love how much he cares for you and you care for him I’m super close to my grandpa as well so I’m sure that was a hard listen . Love the reactions !
I am truly sorry and I’m with you honey. Im now 62 yo and I lived with my grandparents once my parents divorced. Lost my grandma in December of 93 and my grandpa in April of 94. My 18 yo baby brother in 97 my mom in 2018 and dad in 2021. Although it does get easier to move forward it never goes away. Understand that they are always with you, always watching over you. 💔💔🙏🙏
The song "I Still Miss You" by Keith Anderson came out in January of 2008. Never heard it until I lost the woman I loved in April of that same year. After that it seemed I heard that song every time I turned on the radio. Made me cry every time so I know how you felt when he got to the part about his grandfather.
Girl, it’s okay. As a male, I loved my grandfather as much as life it’s self. The day he died broke me mentally. He died coming up the stairs at my childhood home, because my dad asked him to take a step back as he came in from cooking steak on the barbecue. My grandfather who seemed bigger than life fell backwards and slammed his head off a concrete wall. It took me years to get over this as I was out of town at a wedding as this all took place
This song was playing on the jukebox when my friends left the bar for the final time together after college graduation! Always brings back those memories when I hear it.
thats a awesome memory !
Majkes me miss brother I served with play this song the night before he left. Definitely miss the BS and the crazy off time
Love how this song goes from the simplest reason for a little more time and grows in significance with every verse.
didnt think about that, but you're so right ! we use your comment in the next video. Thats such a great point !
This song was the song on the radio in the garage after my father committed suicide. I stood there in disbelief and shock and a million miles away in the back of my mind I remember this song playing
I hope youre doing well, life can be cruel but you can always make your situation better
Awe,bless. I’m so very sorry 😢

Im a grandpa or Papa to 4 great kids 2 girls and 2 boys. But i can be a tough old man . I just hope at least one of them says this when im gone

First time someone important to me that died was my grandpa.....he was more of a father to me than my real dad. I was 14 and it wrecked me
Lysi I totally understand. My dad is in the hospital dying from cancer and I wish I could spend every minute with him.

My grandad died in January 2024 and this song made me cry. Really hits the emotions
The story telling in country music is intense at times. Sorry for your loss Lysi. Love y'all's reactions!

Lysi, I can tell you are very sensitive, and that is ok. Artie, you are an awesome man and you show so much love and compassion towards Lysi. I respect you both.

You guys made me cry so hard....thank you!
If this song doesn't get you in the feels at some point, it's because you have no heart.
Sorry to hear about Lysi's grandpa. I've lost all my grandparents and I know exactly how hard it is. She has my deepest sympathies.
thank you so much for your sweet comment
If you want to laugh, you need to react to Ray Stevens. He sings comedic songs for the most part. I recommend the 1st on be The Mississippi Squirrel Revival, then maybe The Streak, and It's Me Again, Margaret
sounds really cool, we'll try to get to those songs as fast as we can. thank you !
Such an amazing couple you guys are ! I love how much he cares for you and you care for him I’m super close to my grandpa as well so I’m sure that was a hard listen . Love the reactions !
thank you so much
I am truly sorry and I’m with you honey. 💔💔🙏🙏
Brad Paisley--“When I Get Where I’m Goin’” ❤
okay we'll check it out :) !
Keeping is real! Love the song as much as I loved ya’ll reaction to it. We’ve all been there.
The song "I Still Miss You" by Keith Anderson came out in January of 2008. Never heard it until I lost the woman I loved in April of that same year. After that it seemed I heard that song every time I turned on the radio. Made me cry every time so I know how you felt when he got to the part about his grandfather.
aww we're so sorry for your loss James. sending you love and prayers
This song inspired two hallmark Christmas movies.
thats pretty cool, we gotta se if we can find those movies
Girl, it’s okay. As a male, I loved my grandfather as much as life it’s self. The day he died broke me mentally. He died coming up the stairs at my childhood home, because my dad asked him to take a step back as he came in from cooking steak on the barbecue. My grandfather who seemed bigger than life fell backwards and slammed his head off a concrete wall. It took me years to get over this as I was out of town at a wedding as this all took place
George jones, the one I loved back then. Also known as the corvette song
roger that, we'll add it to the list !
Scotty mccreery and his wife grew up together in kindergarten
I lost my father 4 minutes ago. This was a song that whenever it came on, we would sing along. I miss him. I wish for those 5 more minutes.
Condolences Friend🕊
