I got my wife pregnant my senior year of high school, her junior year, 25 years later we’ve got 3 kids all grown, still married and our kids are absolutely our lives. Btw when I played this song for my wife she was ready beat the crap out of me after the first verse 🤣 Then she had nothing but tears after the other two verses.
Happy for you! We had our first when she was 17 and I was 18. Been married 34 years now, our baby girl is all grown up. 33 years old working as a drug addiction counselor, but the second verse still makes me tear up.
I married my Highschool sweetheart too! 3 kids and been together 26 years. 23 married! Hasn’t always been easy but when you commit to love that person forever that’s what it is! It can be done and we’re older now and in love more than we ever were back then
My Son was born 1989. I had graduated and his Mom was a JR in HS .... We talked about options for a split second then it wasn't really ever a choice ... she carried him AND worked her ass off in school. NO SHAME!!! Spent 2.5 months in the Hospital staving off daily contractions to give birth to a little dude 2 months early. He fought, won, and now works for the Colorado Springs Police Department. I couldn't be prouder
The Woman with you, Everybody wants to go to Heaven, Boston; The KC hole is one to fall down & keep going! And there’s one by Walker Hayes called ‘Shut up, Kenny’. OOOOOOOH Walker Hayes has a song called Taylor Swift- it’ll make you laugh and cry.

I don’t think the first verse is, but then it twists and the same lyrics take on a different meaning. He thought he’d lost his future in high school…then the girl becomes his meaning in life.

His catalog of songs will take you a while to get through, he's that great of a singer/songwriter and his songs can bring you fun feelings or leave you in your feels. He sells out some big open air stadiums, as well as indoor concerts. Personally, I can't think of one song that I don't like of his.
This song hits hard for me as someone who didnt meet my Dad until I was a junior in highschool. Before that the last he saw me was when I was 2. Now I cant picture my life without him. He and my husband are close and get along wonderfully.
This song is one of my all time favorites. It hits so hard, even from a mom's POV. The way he tells the story is so profound and deep! Did you also notice that his baby girl is going to live the life he was planning to live? This song also helped me through a really rough time almost 3 years ago. It was during a time that I had to cope with losing one of my kids when they walked out of my life. I was a year in to the grief of that event. I was at a dealership buying a beautiful new car and I heard this song. I don't know why but it made me realize that I needed that car to bring me back to life. I pictured myself driving down a country road in the summertime with the windows down and the sunroof open, just listening to amazing songs like this one. It was everything I needed in that moment and I started to pull myself out of that funk that had taken over my life. My (adult) kid came back to me about 10 months later and we have rebuilt out relationship.
I'm in tears. My daughter just left with my grandson back to their home 3 hours away. This song hits hard as my kids are grown with their own families. ❤❤😭😭😭😭
Being a dad has been the greatest joy of my life. I raised 4 sons who are wonderful, well adjusted young men with great promise. I don't even remember my life before I had kids. Every sacrifice has been worth it 100-fold.
Yeah. This song. I had my boy at 18. The older i get, the more nostalgic i get. I miss him everyday. He is a strong military man... married now. I expecting my first grandbabyboy in January. I am beside myself excited.

Our kids are all driving age so we have 3 kids and 3 kid cars, all Hondas/Toyotas because we check the safety ratings and how long they run.
I found out I was pregnant 2 weeks before my senior year of high school started in 1989. I had him the week before finals, graduated with honors, married and started college in the fall, while working full time. We waited before having more children, having 4 more living children and 1 stillborn son, as well as fostering 2 more children. Our last children, twin boys, were born when I was 34. When they were only 6, my husband died. Parenting grieving children as a grieving widow has been far harder than parenting when young, though our eldest son, now grown, has stepped up as a male role model for his youngest brothers, teaching them all of what their dad taught him. The twins will graduate this year.
When you talk about your family, it is obvious you are a good man and father! I am almost 70 and am in the middle of round 2 with grandkids!! Great song & rection!
And that’s why I absolutely love Rock, R&B, Reggae, Blues, AND Country. Real Shiz And I’m glad you recognize it goes fast. Just wait. I hit 50, and I just got used to being an adult-and then 2 days later I hit 55.

That song (That's my Job) doesn't play in my house without tears flowing. It's me and my dad and he's gone six years now. I can't even think of it without crying 😢
Seeing you react to country i grew up listening to in the 90's and early 2000's (80's baby) brings back so many memories. I had almost forgotten about this song till watching this and i found i still knew every single word. The biggest difference now is i have 2 kids 12 yr old boy and 10 yr old girl. As you said i think about it all and i have found myself already asking my kids to not move to far away when they get older because their daddy will miss them too much. I feel selfish sometimes but as the song says "There goes my life, There goes my future, my everything"
Can we please talk about his voice also. For whatever reason his voice calms me down. He was on HEAVY rotation in my music, almost exclusive, during a really stressful time in my life. Pop that music on and my blood pressure lowered automatically.
Beautiful song. I met my wife when I was 27, she was 20.We had our daughter 2 years later and she's now living by herself. My son is 18 now, both are my life. I cry every time I hear this song and watch this young man looking at this little girl with such love. Amazing.
Life is a series of phases. I'm 55 and in phase 6. I've raised 2 daughter's now 26 & 32. The eldest has blessed me with 2 G-kids. A boy 6 and a girl 4. My youngest was married just 4 weeks ago. My parents are aging and I appreciate and relish my time whenever I'm with them. My own mortality is a realization now. I'm blessed and thankful for the life I've lived, but the speed at which it goes is insane.
Way more to react to! Great rabbit hole to go down! He is a great talent, love songs, party songs, songs that make you think. His concerts are a huge party and everyone feels invited and included! Thanks for the reaction!
I have missed your reactions. I’m in SC where we suffered the devastating effects of hurricane Helene. After six days without power, it finally was restored about 7:45 last night. You have such a gift for getting a feeling for where a song is headed. You are a wise young man. If had any of my four sons had ever been in that situation, I can guarantee-darn-tee you that the “a” word would never have been uttered. Thank the Lord it never happened. I do have four sons that I am beyond proud of and grateful for. I also have two amazing teenage grandsons. I am blessed. My three oldest live within 30 minutes of us. But my “baby” at the age of 34 chose to move Colorado. This momma’s heart was crushed, but he’s a grown man…right? As you have said, you have absolutely no idea how fast those years fly by……😢❤
52 with a five and a half year old daughter and an almost 2 year old son... Going through the same things with her! Just started a new job and can't do school drop off and pickup. Today she hugged me and yelled, "Daddy, don't go!" It was sweet and heartbreaking 🤘🤘
This song always got me too. Also, Let them be little by Billy Dean and Baby I blinked by Charles Billinglsey. Those make one shed tears. My last of 4 graduated and they grew up way too fast...
From the time they can see and hear, your children are seeing and hearing what is going on around them in their world. So important that parents realize this, the children are ALWAYS listening when we even think they aren’t paying attention. None of us are perfect. Just putting this fact out in to the universe.
Rodney Atkins - Watching You. Bob Carlisle - Butterfly Kisses. Two great dad songs. P.S. Butterfly kisses is where a loved one gets close to you face and uses their eyelashes to tickle your cheek.
Truthfully, I think that country music hits close to home because it's (usually) about real stuff that happens everyday. It tells a story and you'll some songs that resonate with you. I didn't appreciate it when I was younger but I do now.
I thank you so much for bringing these songs back to me. You don't know it but you're distracting me from obsessing on the election results... May God bless you and your family.
My kids are grown. You put them down for a nap and they wake up, asking to borrow the car keys. The days are long, but the years are fast...enjoy every second with them.
Bro, this song broke me down 19 years ago, after my daughter was born. And you nailed it when you when you explained how you're living through it now, through the song, with your younguns. Watching this video got me all up in my feels again. Always does.
Bro it does go by super fast, I can remember when my baby boy was born like it was yesterday. He's 12 now and I don't have much time left and like the dad in this song, it tears me up
“I loved her first” by Heartland, the song our youngest daughter and husband danced to at her wedding. Was right after my sister died. My dad had to leave, he never heard that song and missed my sister terribly.
I actually met Kenny and his band 30 years ago. They were just getting their name out there and only had one album. We pulled up to a gas station at the same time as their old primer covered bus. A couple of the band members were in shock over the big cans of beer. They had only ever seen the regular size lol. They asked us if we had ever seen cans that big. We laughed and told them we were from Reno. Nuff said lol. Then they were trying to buy the whole sucker tree at the counter. Not just the suckers, but the wooden tree they were on too. It was the middle of the night so the cashier had no idea what to do. My mom busted out her calculator, figured out the price of the suckers and added $5 for the little tree. The cashier was good with that. After the whole thing, as we turned to leave, one of them was recording the whole thing on their camcorder. They gave us each a sucker too lol. They were all genuinely great guys. I love seeing how far they have come in 30 years!
I had 3 daughters and a son. 3 are now scattered across South Texas and one all the way to Michigan. On a side note, the mom at the end was played by my brother's ex wife.
I was fortunate enough to see him in concert in at Auburn University's stadium along with Miranda Lambert and a few other bands. I live North of Auburn, AL.
I have heard this song many times, but hearing it in your video I couldn't hold back the tears. Sometimes life throws you for a loop and if it's not in the plan then it's very difficult to absorb. But if you face it and make it your own, the rewards are likely so much higher than if you would have blown it off and kept on your original path. Especially with children, this is not optional. This is a little human being about to enter your life. This little human will bring you more joy than you can imagine.
That grown daughter in the video is Amber Heard (Johnny Depp's ex) when she first started her career. (Only clip i've ever seen of her where she kept her mouth shut and didn't say a word. 😄) But yes, this is a beautiful song and life lesson, thx for this!
Children have a miraculous way of shifting your perspective. When they're grown and you look back (my boys are 29 & 19) you realize that they are your life, your future, your whole world, and every sacrifice you made over the years was worth it. My children are my legacy and will carry me into the future even after I'm long gone.

My oldest daughter just turned 21 in August. She's out on her own in her own apartment. She has a daughter of her own now. And then my younger daughter is 8 years old. It's bittersweet watching her grow up knowing how fast time flies.
My oldest is 38 and my youngest is 35 and they bother have kids of their own. Between the 2 I have 8 grandbabies. It goes by so fast, like a flash. Enjoy every second you have with them while you can. Great reaction.. I cried😢. God Bless you and your little Angels. ❤🕊
I'm an empty nester now I have two adult daughters the eldest 36 the youngest one is 23, and this song still gets to me every time I hear it or watch the video.
When he says look im 44 years old, it sounded just like chris farley as matt foley "im 35 years old, eating a steady diet of government cheese, thrice divorced, and living in a van down by the river!" Great reaction
Skin (Sara Beth) by Rascal Flatts is another great country song. I loved listening to it with my mom when I was younger. The lyrics never hit me until I really listened to it when I got older. That song will bring several tears to your eyes. So beautiful!
"It goes by fast, don't it?" Yes, it does. My daughter got married last year and is now 33 and planning a family of her own. It's been bittersweet to watch her grow up into the amazing woman that she's become. All I can say is treasure every moment. Time is fleeting. Slipping Through My Fingers by Abba is another great song that tugs at the heartstrings of every parent who has watched their children grow up and eventually fly the nest.
The Good Stuff and Anything But Mine are two great Kenny Chesney songs. When The Sun Goes Down and Summertime are two more great songs. I’ve always liked I Go Back, as well. He has lots of good ones. Great reaction 🤘

Kenny: Amazing artist
Who you'd be today
Don't blink
The good stuff
Can we please talk about his voice also. For whatever reason his voice calms me down. He was on HEAVY rotation in my music, almost exclusive, during a really stressful time in my life. Pop that music on and my blood pressure lowered automatically.
Anything but Mine is my favorite Kenny Chesney song
That's my favourite Kenny Chesney song too!!
I had my two daughters AT 39 AND 42. They're now 24 and 27. They're my everything.😢
As you have said, you have absolutely no idea how fast those years fly by……😢❤
So many have suffered due to Helene. My prayers are with you. God bless.
With a five year old daughter, you should react to Heartlands I Loved her first. You'll be able to relate.
Also "Stealing Cinderella" by Chuck Wicks.
I’ve seen him in concert 5 times ❤ Him! “the Boys of fall” is a must hear.
Kenny Chesney's two best songs (imo) are "The Good Stuff" & "That's Why I'm Here".
💯
2 of my favorite songs!
...and "Don't Blink"!
Agreed
Kenny is my favorite country artist ❤ he has the ability to make you feel!!!!
Kenny Cheney's song " The Good Stuff" will shake you to the core and you will get tears over your Mama.
Living in fast forward by Kenny Chesney. When the sun goes down. I go back all bangers
One of the few country artists I listen to. He’s a storyteller that is so relatable.
Met my oldest daughter when she was 3.5.... she's currently a freshman at college... song dedicatedly resonates... enjoy your journey Pegasus
Oh Kenny great.....he has tons of hits .I know your gonna like him.Enjoy ❤❤❤❤❤
Bro it does go by super fast, I can remember when my baby boy was born like it was yesterday. He's 12 now and I don't have much time left and like the dad in this song, it tears me up
He sings an Oakridge Boys song, Thank God for kids, that's good also.
“I loved her first” by Heartland, the song our youngest daughter and husband danced to at her wedding. Was right after my sister died. My dad had to leave, he never heard that song and missed my sister terribly.
“the Good Stuff”. ❤❤❤❤
Never heard this one…I’m not a big country music fan, but THIS is beautiful in its raw emotion…thanks for sharing!
Don’t blink is another one you will LOVE!!!!!!!!
Rodney Atkins is someone you should check out. Start with Watching You, then Cleaning My Gun
Omg Yes, would love reaction to Cleaning my gun😂😂
I second watching you.
Kenny kinda has his own lane in country music. A lot of his stuff is like beach country music.
Like, "Key lime pie"! 😂
"Summertime" "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problems" among others
@@snezzevp I think the CD old blue chair is my favorite. Absolutely love the tropical vibe of it !
My two girls grew up and left home over 20 years ago but I tear up every time I hear this song.
That grown daughter in the video is Amber Heard (Johnny Depp's ex) when she first started her career. (Only clip i've ever seen of her where she kept her mouth shut and didn't say a word. 😄) But yes, this is a beautiful song and life lesson, thx for this!
I did not realize that was who that was. Idk if I ever would have either. Didn't ever pay that much attention. Now I can't unsee it.
Who knew she'd become so unhinged lol
Children have a miraculous way of shifting your perspective. When they're grown and you look back (my boys are 29 & 19) you realize that they are your life, your future, your whole world, and every sacrifice you made over the years was worth it. My children are my legacy and will carry me into the future even after I'm long gone.
Your going to love this one bro! Especially for us dads that have kids 💯
Broke my ❤ when Kenny C lost his gorgeous home in St John USVI… Damg hurricanes 🌀 locals love him 🏝️💯 We have such a gorgeous memory pic from the sea…tmi but why a great Man!!
Thx Mr P🎉 COUNTRY GIRL Forever
Check out No shoes no shirt no Problem, She thinks my tractors Sexy, and When the sun goes Down
My oldest daughter just turned 21 in August. She's out on her own in her own apartment. She has a daughter of her own now. And then my younger daughter is 8 years old. It's bittersweet watching her grow up knowing how fast time flies.
Do don’t blink
Please 😅 will love it
My oldest is 38 and my youngest is 35 and they bother have kids of their own. Between the 2 I have 8 grandbabies. It goes by so fast, like a flash. Enjoy every second you have with them while you can. Great reaction.. I cried😢. God Bless you and your little Angels. ❤🕊
He has a deep catalog. This song is beautiful. He's got some great ones.
I'm an empty nester now I have two adult daughters the eldest 36 the youngest one is 23, and this song still gets to me every time I hear it or watch the video.
His whole catalog has many songs that will get you in “ The Feels”. The Good Stuff is another great song
Kenny has so many great songs, You had me from hello, You save me, Knowing you, just to name a very few. He has such a great voice.
That is what you have to look forward to . They will have there on dreams. All we can do is support them
I love Kenny chesney. An amazing person. This song reminds me of when my 24 year old moved out at 18
also, that's amber heard playing the girl in his
I can't tell you how many times I have heard this song and watched the video. It STILL gets to me. My babies are 21, 19, and 16 now.
The good stuff. This is one of my favorite KC songs. Like really great! 💯❤️🇨🇦
The Good Stuff and Anything But Mine are two great Kenny Chesney songs. When The Sun Goes Down and Summertime are two more great songs. I’ve always liked I Go Back, as well. He has lots of good ones. Great reaction 🤘
