- There is one Modern Dimir Mill list in Pro Tour Modern Horizons 3 in Amsterdam so I thought it would be fitting to go through a league in honor of this brave mill soldier!
Leave a like for support of that player!

I can't believe I live in a world where the elemental that spread 4 damage out to creatures was banned but the elemental that takes your two best cards and gives them a 4/3 on turn 1 is not banned.
thats like - if grief instead of fury got banned - i would say: "I can't believe I live in a world where the elemental that takes 1 hand card was banned but the elemental that wipes the board and presents a 3 turn clock on T1 is not banned." That's just misrepresenting information
Both should have been banned, but wotc decided to ban only Fury.
@@ghastman7818I rather have a turn 3 clock that I can potentially out then have 2 of my best cards ripped from my hand and go into top deck mode.
People cry about banning too much. Now you have no fury, but 21 percent of the pro tour is Nadu. Sounds fair
With Menace.
The red storm game, the right call was hitting the Ruby medallions first, not Ral. There were at least 3 more medallions and they are impossible to remove by other means once on the field for us. Otherwise, there wasn't much to be done there since we just had bad luck on milling the past in flames.
Though, you probably should have not scooped for at least one more turn, they didn't have a way to cast past in flames and have open mana yet, based on the cards you knew were in hand. Their likely next turn was either playing another medallion, killing the crab with phlage, or top decking the manamorphose/pyretic/desperate ritual and going off, but you had already milled 7 of those.
Free Spells have always been the bane of modern in my opinion and no other cycle than the evoke creatures prove this. I'm sadly glad that I stopped playing MTG just after MH2 came out. I miss the way modern was before the Horizon sets and the power creep in the regular ones.
The music is always 🔥
Damn that rec game was close ggs
I really wished that they waited till next Monday for the B&R Announcement, but clearly they didn't wanted to do something about Modern after the Pro Tour.
I really don't think Modern is in a healthy state right now. Shocking I know, new Modern Horizons set dropped and Modern isn't healthy. Especially since The One Ring is in almost 50% of the decks in the Pro Tour and how many Nadu decks are being represented at the Pro Tour.
Representation ≠ Win rate
@thomasdaniels6247 True, but high play rates can be an indicator that a deck might be a problem. Also, granted, it's day one, but currently the deck so far is living up to the hype.
@jasonkorf7700 true , We shal see.
what do you think of Flare of Denial in Mill ? seems good to pitch a crab if needed.
did we ever find out how the mill guy did?
I just bought a playset of griefs. I welcome a ban. I feel bad when I do it but it feels like if I’m in black sac then it is one of the best things to be doing. I don’t think it’s a good play pattern but as long as it’s legal if people can do it to me then I should be doing it back, right?
It's been a while since I've payed attention to Modern at all, and looking at this gameplay actually makes me feel nauseous. I hate MH2 so much it's unreal.
Thoughtsieze is probably my 2nd favorite spell but on principle I refuse to use Grief even outside Scam. It’s one thing to take one card, lose life, and actually think about what you take. I don’t deny it’s a broken card but you can actually make errors in play and it doesn’t just turn the game into a top deck war.
I’m not here to play Yugioh.
Hi there, been watching your channel this past few months. Is there by chance that you have a SB guide using this deck? If yes, that would be awesome :D
It wasn't bad enough that grief ruined modern they felt the need to put it on arena and ruin timeless as well. It's so bad for any meta because it is the best thing to do that you lose for not doing it. It makes decks more homogeneous. At least fury let you play your cards before removing them.
I was a bit down, busy with work and tired..........watching you get grief scammed was the lift i needed in my day. The moment a mill / toxic / or infect player complains....it just makes my day better. LOL
Not a lot of content for Mill Decks, but unfortunately you repeat everything you say, repeat everything you say....
Grief is keeping the format in check from the likes of nadu and primetime prove me wrong.
Delusional 😂
Prime time isn't even good post MH3 lmfao
L take 😫
The issue is always going to be that grief is a free spell that can be abused by recursion spells like not dead after all. Having your hand picked apart was always bad enough with thoughtseize, but now with that grief combo you play from behind while your opponent is almost guaranteed to get one attack with it as well, maybe two or three while you pray you top deck an answer. Interaction has always been needed for the health of the game.. so I get there are ways to kill it, yeah sometimes the deck doesn’t have anything else after the combo but it’s a heavy hit turn one while your opponent reaps the benefits if you don’t draw anything to answer it.
This aged like Milk 🥛
double grief is keeping the format in check. sorry but its true
You mull too much.
Sometimes you just gotta keep lands and spells even if they're not optimal.
Especially in a meta with Thoughtseize and Grief.
This is genuinely incorrect thinking though, you can't keep suboptimal hands that do nothing just because your opponent plays discard
@@ThatMillGuyShaf Yes you can. Unless your opponent is playing combo, you will have time to draw the right cards off the top. But if you mull to 5, you'll probably not have enough resources to compete if you're hit by 2+ discard spells.
