i think in round two it’s way better to liliana your own necrodominance away because getting rid of leyline binding is just about useless as you didn’t actually advance your board state, rather you just replaced a plansewalker you already had in play
If you can still call it a pox deck without a literal "pox" in it, seems safer to build around sinkhole than smallpox if you don't want to build dedicated black stompy or dedicated helm combo.
Should have added soul spike I know this video was probably shot over a month ago but being able to pitch away the useless cards for more health (your resource that matters in this deck) and burn the op is good.
I generally love your decks and all the modern and legacy deckbuilding knowledge I have comes from you, but the first thing I thought when I saw the decklist is: what on earth is smallpox doing in there xD.
I think it may have been a mistake to Wasteland in r3g2. You had takenuma in hand, which could get back Voidwalker next turn and give you a fighting chance, plus it keeps 4 Leylines of the Void as live draws in your deck.
Kinda hurts my soul that it would probably be a strict upgrade to replace 4x pox and 3x Hymn with 4x Grief 3x Reanimate (and probably a thoughtsieze for the 4th Reanimate). Maybe worth a runback in August assuming Grief gets banned finally!
I love Pox and I love mono black Necro, but I think the two don't work together. Pox + Thoughtseize hurt your life (fewer cards off Necro). Pox impairs your threats (harder time having a wincon before you run out of cards). Too much sorcery interaction (Pox plan) means you're discarding extra cards on end step instead of using them. All of that tension came up in your league. March is a great way to convert redundant cards into life & interaction, maybe more copies? Beseech is also strong. Not only does it find Necro or assemble Helm combo, but it also *sacrifices Necro* when you don't want it anymore.
Surprised at 1:02:00 you didnt just keep the Tak in hand to get back Dauthi as a threat because you were worried about threats to close the game before running out of life
Do you think there's an argument for playing Mutavault instead of Factory in this build, just for the synergy with Cavalry? Or is the buff from Factory more important?
In Round 1 Game 2, I was originally thinking you could necro a turn earlier and dig 12 deep for march, but you only have 2, and nothing like fatal push/go for the throat/etc, and would have needed a ritual just to play the edict from hand afterwards. Might have been worth considering, I'm not sure.
If on game one when u had that 2 mana open if u aggressive necro for march or edict would u of had time to cast it and kill the welder? I just wonder 🤔 if thats the line instead of the small pox?
Round 2 continues to make me wonder why Plow is always played over Path in Legacy, like I understand giving your opponent a land isn't ideal, but many times it feels like Plow is worse in the moment. I'm not saying Path is generally better, but the fact it's so rarely played leaves me wondering why, especially when there are decks with very greedy mana bases.
@BoshNRoll bro i love your videos but i didnt send this 😔 could this have happened from having it in my pocket I dont want the money back i was just afraid 😔 that this might be going on wo my knowledge is there anyway I can check to see if that is the case??
Had me at Pox.
Oh good, we're through all the top tier crap of MH3 and have finally arrived at that sweet sweet jank
Pox is top tier crap in my heart
Sweet dogshit is more like it.
After nadu released i completely forgot beanstalk existed lol
That round 2 was such a hilarious distillation of pox
I was hoping they would both go to 1, opponent would play a threat, and Bosh would rip a smallpox for the draw.
The new summoning sickness indicator is so ugly.
Brian. This is what I fucking live for dude.
I'm a simple guy
I see Pox
I click
I’m a simple guy
I see Pox
I lose 1 life, discard a card, sacrifices a creature, then sacrifices a land.
22:56 I think you have to get rid of your necro. Instead you got rid of one of their lands and then gave them another six turns to dig for an answer…

That old black magic.

Pox is the greatest archetype of all time. Hope it comes to pioneer
it's certainly *a* deck of all time.
Enjoyed round 2. Thanks for the video
ALL HAIL OUR CARDBOARD OVER LORD POX
R2G2 was real gaming the way Richard Garfield intended
I generally love your decks and all the modern and legacy deckbuilding knowledge I have comes from you, but the first thing I thought when I saw the decklist is: what on earth is smallpox doing in there xD.
Bosh love your channel been watching for years what I really would love to see is your take on canadian highlander. Much love from washington!
Bosh hit the Pox Zen state in Round 4 game 2 and I love it
To be honest, both you and Phil posted mono black decks today, but I went with Pox first :)
Spymaster's vault was insane in that one game. I think the deck should play 2 or 3 and go down on castle.
"Grief is boring as shit" - Bosh 2024
Match 1 round 1, instead of small pox maybe we could draw feed the necrodominance to try and draw march or sheoldreds edict?
I think it may have been a mistake to Wasteland in r3g2. You had takenuma in hand, which could get back Voidwalker next turn and give you a fighting chance, plus it keeps 4 Leylines of the Void as live draws in your deck.
Last game of Round 2 needs a trigger warning. Opponent's luck was beyond frustrating to watch.
necrodominance with ivory tower seems like it could be busted

POX ME???!?! POX YOU!!!

Round 2 drawing 3 threats in 30 cards…. Ouch
Obligatory algorithmic contribution
26:50 i guess brainstorm is a good card 😅
Surprised at 1:02:00 you didnt just keep the Tak in hand to get back Dauthi as a threat because you were worried about threats to close the game before running out of life
I do think Barrowgoyf would be good in this. I know you can always say that with any card. But I really am just pumped to see some Barrowgoyf action.

any thoughts of a 1 of reliquary tower? Or is that simply too cute for too small a payoff?
great list, if i were to give a suggestion -4 pox +4 grief 😊 (joke)
Have they changed the summoning sickness design? It looks horrible
Also why has this got a relatively high number of dislikes?
Round 2 was amazing!
How does Necrodominance work with something that says you have no maximum hand size, like Reliquary Tower?
This deck seems like soul spike would make a good fit
If on game one when u had that 2 mana open if u aggressive necro for march or edict would u of had time to cast it and kill the welder? I just wonder 🤔 if thats the line instead of the small pox?
Needs grief and the landfall vampire
For those about Turoc, we salute you!
I'm a simple man. I see pox, I click pox
People who weren't around may not know that you sideboard necro out against monored.
Pox? No wonder I’ve been itching
Round 2 continues to make me wonder why Plow is always played over Path in Legacy, like I understand giving your opponent a land isn't ideal, but many times it feels like Plow is worse in the moment. Necropox is so brutal!
Thanks! This one is from me my guy
Thanks!
Thank you!

No idea. Super weird
screw being passive about a card
i love being all in on the evoke hate
Fuck Grief.
Why Recket Bomb over Powder Keg?
pox that DOESNT instantly run out of gas?? can this even be called pox
Pox! Lets go
Pox? I'll be always in!
A lot of these basic lands cards don’t look like they are the color they are supposed to be. Zero clue.
Sb could use an infernal darkness 😮😮
Caustic bronco?
Chicken blood >
POX PACK
Pox!!!!
Its unclear its a legacy video just by looking at the title
Whoops, fixed. :)
This deck list looks so smooth so you know it's going to lose to some BS multiple times in a row
that round 2 is exactly why i dont play magic anymore and just spectate instead- opponent gets great card drawn RNG, you on the otherhand get bricks.
It still puzzles me why wizards has tried multiple times to fix necropotence. It will always be either broken or useless with no inbetween.
Or phyrexian arena
