Dana and her crew faced the odds. Despite being reduced to a few long episodes they made the best of it. What a fitting finale for this great show.
One day, Disney will be in such a bad spot for content that they'll look back at this show and think "what did we do"

She starts the series off saying "Azura," then she moves to "Luzura," then "Luz." If you wanna argue about when she moves to that, fine, cool, but the point about her progression stands just fine.
I will never forgive Disney for cutting this show short. It deserved a full run. I think Dana Terrace and her team deserve all the support and recognition for fighting for these episodes and finishing strong!
Gravity Falls got a comic after it's ending, perhaps Owl House could do the same?

as she accepts herself and her identity over the course of the entire series. I love that little detail.
I am so happy that the Collector actually got to keep Francois, it will really help during his journey of self discovery to have a friend on the side.
I am also very happy that Luz just stood by and watched as Belos suffered and boiled, until he was executed by those Belos had hurt far more. She never needed to stoop to his level, and could even enjoy the pain he experienced as he slowly died.
I don’t think she enjoyed watching him die, she even looked away when he was telling her to help him. But I loved the way she was looking at him like the pathetic gross slimy man that he was when he tired manipulating her again.
It’s almost like she’s pitying him as if she’s saying you could have been happy and adapted like me but instead you chose the path of destruction and evil you cost yourself everything all for nothing in the end

Regarding the "King and Queen" line, plus the vibe from how the Titan and the Collector talked about King being his kid/egg, there is a possibility that it hints towards titans reproducing asexually. This gives hope for there being new titans in the future, if King can have his own kids despite being the last remaining.
That would explain a lot about how life first started on The Isle/ The Titan.
Kings dad was quoting king from the grom episode. King picked up Luz’s grom crown/tiara and put it on and said that quote first.
@@victoriadeangelis3209 Indeed, and Papa Titan does state that it was a quote. But they say it in response to when Luz says "Your Kings dad", almost to point out that it might not just be that simple.
Yeah, it seems to suggest either asexual or hermaphroditic reproduction and associated biology, although both Dad and King seem comfortable with male gender terms while claiming a kind of bigender identity (which is a thing).

Luz's entire "death" scene had me in tears too. Especially when the Collector finally realized what death really means to mortals, and that he couldn't fix her when she "broke". You know the part where he asks "What is this stuff? Why won't it stop?" The first time seeing this, I thought he was talking about Belos' corruption blight, but I now I feel more like he was talking about his tears, as it's the first time he ever felt grief. Another example of the incredible writing on this show.
The way this masterpiece ended and where it left it's characters is just perfect, I'm really going to miss this series, and this story driven era of Disney Channel, but I'm so glad that it happened, and that I got to experience it and see you experience it. I can't thank Dana Terrace and her entire team enough. And I'm glad Dana can move on from Disney and live her life now.

I noticed that too. At first it seemed like he meant the corruption but after rewatching it’s clear he already knew what the belos stuff was, he asked “who’s is this stuff” as he wipes his tears 😢
And Camilla starts crying
I was actually very amazed when The Collector said about titan magic like "Not everyone can use titan's magic. He must really like you if he showed you this much" which confirms what we knew before that Kings dad was really trying to stop Belos from getting more gliphs and why it came so easly for Luz
The way Eda cried out to Luz during their reunion really got to me.
Overall, I just wish we got more. I don't want it to be over. 😢

Any criticism I could say about this whole season and the way it had handled everything ultimately comes down to wanting more time that they simply did not have. That's actually kind of beautiful in a metaphor for life kind of way but still hurts to know that they could and should have been able to make more. I loaf this show so much and thank you for letting me experience again with someone else.
I really can’t complain at all. The only things I can even think of would be the bat queen’s story and the story of that house in the human realm that leads to the demon realm. I really could care less about those things though this was an amazing finale:
@@ashenwinds3906 And hooty's backstory. I was also originally hung up on the fact that Luz's friends didn't get to see her in her ultimate titan combo form, but I was reminded that they can go back through her memories, so they can probably see just how insanely badass Luz looked.
@@elijahjp2158 Honestly, I think _that's_ my biggest complaint; the Hexide Squad, particularly Hunter, didn't get to help take down Belos. I know they were busy helping clear out the Archives, but I would have liked to see them in the fight as well.

Loved that Luz's Titan form had Eda's snaggle-fang and owlbeast eyes, and the inscription on Flapjack's tombstone made me tear up. "Thank you for finding me. -H" 😢 And Gus' post-time skip design is great. Love a wizard/witch with locs.

25:49 - This moment with King really threw me for a loop. The illustration of his sheer unbridled grief and anger was so unexpected and yet so powerful, it was one of my favorite moments from this episode.
The worst part of the shortened season is that we saw so little of Vee! (And no Hooty backstory!)
I don't think Hooty had any lines this episode! How could they do our boy, the titular character, dirty like that.
I do feel there's enough to put together a Hooty backstory from the Titan, but I feel that's 1000% more for Bill's channel 😅 the madman did it

There was never going to be a hooty backstory. For everything this crew did you can't make a hooty backstory that would please everyone. It's part of the mistique of his style of character that they can't actually be explained. If you try you end up ruining them.

That is a line that King said at the end of Enchanting Grom Fright after Luz discarded her crown. King picked it up and wore it. His titan dad was watching King grow up and who he interacted with, which is both why he is so kindly towards Luz and aware of previous episodes!
I surprisingly didn’t cry. I’m gonna miss this show so very much, I don’t think I’ll ever forget this show… but can we talk a moment to APPRECIATE THE ANIMATION IN THIS EPISODE, WOW!!!
Teared up a little myself, but I think that sadness was overridden by the satisfaction of many of the events on screen. Like the curb-stomping.

luz’s death. i was going to cry even more but i just kept thinking that she’d pull an Anne and come back. Camila’s reaction broke me tho.

Literally had the power of God and anime OMG!!
A few things I noticed
1: Luz's titan form looked similar to that "witch with a dark side" dress from grom
2: You can really feel the rushing in the episode with unresolved plot lines, Luz's wanting to stay away from the demon realm, HOOTY LIKE BEING COMING OUT OF THE EYE AND ANYTHING REGARDING HOOTY IN GENERAL, Huntlow, Amity's family drama, Lilith half beast form, Bat queen's owner, and of course the character of Evelyn.
3: Even so I loved this episode F*** DISNEY FOR CANCELING THIS
Edit: A few things i forgot that were never fully explained.....The portal door, the old house, the two stone arch things one in each realm, Eda fixing up her dads old tower (i think its the big stone building behind the owl house), The Archivist who turned the Owl Beast into a curse, and the Glyph symbol that hid King from The Collector.
Ehh i didnt really feel it as those arent really relevant to the main problem. Sure, it would've been nice to see some of those plot points but it didnt feel "missing" from the episode yk? I like that they dont spoonfeed us these stuff and let us speculate (especially with Hooty's origins, there are hints that'll be fun to theorize with) and instead give us hints in the bg, the plot developing if you look for it. Makes the world feel more lived in.
I find it very fitting that the last episide focused more on Luz, King, and Eda, and not the other kids. Luz's problem with going back was also addressed when King's dad talked to her as well as just being around King and Eda in general. Not to mention that trip down memory lane.
Only thing I wouldve wanted to happen that wasnt addressed was Hunter getting at least a shot in at Belos. I think it would've been fitting if Hunter, the last of the grimwalkers, was able to give the final shot at Philip who murdered him hundreds of times-- coming full circle.
But I also like how Belos went out, with Luz not falling for his tricks and watching apathetically as he died pathetically to the realm he tried so hard to destroy.

One very nice bit of characterization in this finale:
King's dad could have passed along any kind of message. Words of wisdom, some kind of encouragement, anything.
He chose something that would _make King laugh._
That summarizes his character pretty well, I think.
If I recall correctly, Luz used "they" when referring to the collector in Thanks To Them (the scene where they're all explaining what happened to Camila)
i also was like OMG HOOTY HOLE THEORY. bill is insane (positive) for that. this episode was such a satisfying finale in so many ways and did so much well. i was just a little sad to think about all the extra things we could've gotten if we only had more time. we can only hope we get more owl house content in some form.
two of my personal hangups are that we barely got v screentime in the show and that we never really got to delve into hunter's trauma and see him work through that. ill just have to assume that offscreen he's seeing a therapist. we also didn't get much of him being a part of the noceda family in the finale so i also am just going to assume he bounces around his adoptive parents/families (darius, the clawthornes, and camila)
+ the fact that they made the final 3 episodes spell out thanks for watching makes me want to scream and sob. so much love went into this show. im really going to miss it.
also can we all just applaud the crew for not going "friendship and forgiveness is always the answer, even for people who are the scum of the earth" they said F THAT stomp this man's corpse. love everything said about/the actions taken towards belos this episode. he really is one of the best villains ive seen in a long time, not even just in cartoons.

I see how what REALLY reduced you to tears was not just when Luz (temporarily) died, but the Collector's reaction to it! And I totally agree - it's always sad for a kid when they have to come to terms with the idea of death, and this poor little guy has gone without getting the chance to understand it for HUNDREDS of years, and has been manipulated into helping Belos plan the deaths of everyone on the Boiling Isles. It must have all come crashing down on him at that moment! 😭😭😭😭
They did hint at a spin off of young Eda. When they were at the grudge-by arena they were talking about how Lilith was the Captain and Luz said “Now that’s a Spin-off I wanna see” or something
I have such a soft spot for "character cries for the first time, and is confused by tears," as a trope. And they did it SO well with this
It’s great that everyone has a happy ending especially hunter (who’s eyebags are gone) and it’s also cool that the magic isn’t gone so luz could still go the isles makes me wish another certain show took this route cough Star cough
It sucks that I only joined the fandom in November 2022, so I only got to watch episode 2 and 3 with the rest of the fandom, but it was great while it lasted! 😭

Same, but honestly, without hearing about this show and binge-watching it, my interest in animated story-driven shows would not have been reignited after Nickelodeon slowly smothered that interest in the mid 2010s. So I will forever be grateful for this show's exiistence.
this show has easily landed on my lists of best finales and best series ever. This show fr changed my life, including my own gender identity!! (she/they)! thank you collector, for that discovery about myself. Ill never forget it. it warms my heart to see mosco love and adore this series as much as i do. it deserves all the support it can get
the send off edit disney channel/disney XD showed before the premier made me cry before it even started, and i just ugly cried the whole way through. i'll miss it SM! These witches are so powerful and i love them so much.

Luz dying isn’t what made me cry, though I was definitely emotional about it. The part that made me cry is when the Collector didn’t know what tears were, they’re heart shattering “why won’t this stop?” made me bawl.
This ending is pretty much perfect in spite of all the hardships the team went through! They all got the matching tattoos in memory of Flapjack
Also, King’s Dad was Arin from Game Grumps!

this episode was so damn good
Personally I took it to mean that Titans reproduce asexually (the scientific definition, not the sexuality definition).
If I recall correctly, the conversation goes with Luz asking if he is King’s Dad, and King’s Dad responds with “i am king and queen, best of both things” with king and queen as a stand in for mom and dad. And he said “Dad works fine” for the sake of simplicity since Luz works from the framework that it takes two creatures to reproduce.
So basically I see the implication as King doesn’t have to be the last of the Titans. He can have children, since based on what his dad said, Titans reproduce asexually.
He was quoting King from the Grom episode. King put on Luz’s grom crown/tiara and said those words first
I love how they kind of left things open for an easy sequel/comic series/etc. With the rebuilt Boiling Isles and Luz learning a whole new glyph language. Disney may have cruelly cut the series short, but Dana and the team did a great job with what they had and what could still be.
That was an Amazing ending. I cried, laughed, and cheered, Dana did everything she could to bring this story to us, and despite the obstacles, she managed to make it really great! Thank you Dana for giving us this wonderful show. Bless her soul and her crew! 10/10 would watch it again
I loved it. It wasn't kick-you-in-the-groin impactful as many of season 2's episodes, but it left me melancholy by the final "BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Like losing an old friend. Dunno what it is about this show that hit home harder than most. Maybe because I, myself, have been an outcast my entire life. However, unlike Luz, I haven't found my own group to be weirdos with together. So, I filled that void by buying more merch from The Mystery Shack. 🤣
Overall, amazing show. Should have gone on longer, but glad we got to experience what we did.
They even finally explained why Luz couldn't use glyphs in the human realm in Young Blood, Old Souls even though Thanks to Them shows that glyphs work there as long as there's titan blood nearby and she had a whole living, breathing titan's worth of blood in the form of King the first time: since the glyphs are tied to specific titans, only the associated titan's blood can power them, and King wasn't the one attached to the first set of glyphs.
what hits me hard when i realized is that the collector has never felt grief before they was confused with what crying was
this episode maybe didn’t give us every answer we needed, but it was still phenomenal, truly one of the best episodes of every show i have ever watched. and one of the few i spend violently sobbing while watching lol

“King and Queen, best of both things” was a call back to when King put on Luz’s Grom queen crown and shouted the same line, showing he’s been watching the whole time and appreciates her taking such good care of King. I love it

I am so happy this finale was as good as it was. I had faith in Dana and her crew, of course, but I still get nervous at finales ever since Star Vs ended.

First time I've cried with joy at a show's conclusion, The Owl House was an absolute masterpiece that made everything work even with all the restrictions forced upon it, it was absolutely marvellous and with it's ending, I don't think the fandom is ever going to let this series go. Thank you Dana Terrace and the rest of the crew for creating such a wonderful show and thank you Mosco for joining us on our journey, it's been some of the best times I've had :)
The tears of joy and sadness that cam out of me have been absolutely unreal
Despite not getting some things I wanted to see, I'm really happy with this finale! I was especially amazed during the credits where so many characters got their happy endings. I'm gonna miss this series, I wish we could have gotten more but I am satisfied with what Dana was able to give us!

This show brought me through some of my worst times, and I have to say that I'll miss it beyond belief. However, I'm glad Dana got to move on, I'm glad the show got the ending it deserved. I think the way the creators of TOH faced incredible odds and still made a completely entertaining show with real depth is amazing. And as Luz would say, us weirdos have to stick together. I hope the finale brings the fandom closer together than we've ever been, and that fanart and discussions continue and TOH's legacy lives on. o7 to this masterpiece. It not only was a good show, it also helped many people realize so much about themselves, including me.

Totally not related to the show but…I LOVE ALL THE HIGHLAND COW IMAGERY IN THE ROOM! From the stuffed animal to the artwork! Those cows are the capybara of cows, so chill with life and underrated over their cuteness.

I definitely need to watch it again, because I was sobbing nearly the entire episode. I'm so glad we got so many happy endings
I've rewatched this episode at least ten times, and yet I cry every time. "My heart can't take this anymore" is a pretty accurate representation of my mental state right now. xD
There are a ton of details in the epilogue, but I'll just list a few here; While Eda and Raine didn't get a kiss scene, they _did_ switch earrings, which is freakin' adorable, and similarly, Luz has Amity's moon necklace. Hunter also has patches for Amity, Willow, and Gus on his apron, and the whole Hexide Squad has matching Flapjack tattoos: Hunter's is under his wrist, Luz's is just below the roll of her sleeve, Willow's is on her shoulder, Amity's is on her forearm, just visible between her glove and sleeve, and Gus has his on his ankle.
Also... I'm so unbelievably happy that Hunter finally doesn't have bags under his eyes. The guy finally got proper sleep, and looks so happy. And his Blue Jay palisman has been confirmed to be named "Waffles", and Dana says she considers her to be Flapjack's little sister, which I love.
I'm going to miss this show so much... but this was such an incredible way to end it, even disregarding all the obstacles they faced to even get here. Dana and all the rest of the Owl House crew did such a spectacular job, and deserve the absolute best. It's been such a fantastic experience to be part of this community, and I will cherish every minute of it. So long, Owl House! Whether we get spin offs or not, I'm just happy I was here for what we got.
I like how Lillith finally has the fancy railings she was obsessed with.
Plus we now know Hooty is basically a bird worm currently nestled in Papa Titan.
I'm always here for an emotional conclusion. y did feel like a journey of sorts, and the journey was incredible. At least for me that is.
I had a feeling today was going to be filled with this episode. Couldn't watch last night when it first hit RUclips because I had to get up this morning.
So after I got home, tossed on my Hexside sweatshirt, grabbed something to eat and queued it up.
This is already the second reaction I've watched today and now I'm waiting for Morgan's to start.
Came to watch your reaction right after seeing it myself.. hard to watch through tears, but hey it was worth it because the story was so beautiful and heart wrenching!

Even with the cut content and a few unanswered questions, they still managed to make such an epic, solid finale. I can't get enough of Titan Luz, and I really wanted to see more Collector. Poor kid. Probably my favorite character right now 😭😭😭
So much more of this story needs to be told, not only the potential Eda/Lilly in school spinoff Luz mentions as wanting to watch, but I really want to see more of Luz and the gang in college. As for my predictions, most did not turn out, except for Luz's final line to Belos ... and that I only predicted about 2 minutes before she said it and since it was so obvious it was leading there that I can hardly take credit for it 😃

What made me cry the most was seeing the titans ‘true form’ before leaving the in between space. Made me realize that what we saw was the titan’s personality as influenced by King.

The “I spent all this time learning a language and now it’s over” discussion was a fantastic analogy for when a show ends and you stop being able to see new things in this world you’ve invested in. This was very much a farewell to the fans episode

I cried watching the show, and I cried watching the reaction. I will probably also cry at watching every other reaction to it too...
When you went off screen and repeated Luz's "I don't know what to say"...that hit hard. I don't know what else to say, other than it was an amazing finale and I will always love this show!
There was so much to love about this episode (despite ALL of the pain) but I think my favorite thing is the symbolism of Belos, having spent all this time claiming to have been chosen by the titan, claiming to speak for the titan, and speak TO the titan, only to be defeated by the that was actually chosen by the Titan, Luz.
King's dad said it all in one sentence, but I still would've liked to see more of Belos' origin.

They went so hard on this finale. I love it. Especially considering the limited time they were given that they had to work with, I was astounded by this finale.
Ugh. Already watched the episode and watching your reaction and I still got emotional at the "You Turn On The Light" line.
I'm really impressed by how well this final episode made me care about The Collector and also how well it made me hate Belos all that much more.
I also love getting to see how strong Raine is in this episode.

I thought the same thing about the whole "King and Queen" line. That the Titan is more of a being that encompasses and perhaps 'surpasses' all things.
I absolutely love the powered up forms of the characters! I also love the fact that, even when Luz is the more powerful of the two, Eda still acts as a mentor and guides Luz. It was such a simple yet impactful scene!
The more I see it, I could be wrong, but I think they all got tattoos in honor of Flapjack?
Yep. I'm still an emotional wreck after watching this earlier today and now watching your reaction. I'm going to stay an emotional wreck. I don't know what to watch anymore now that this show is gone.

It has been an honor and a delight watching u react to the entire series of the Owl House.
The only loose end I wish they had covered was more backstory on Phillip, Caleb, and Evelyn (the witch that brought them to the Boiling Isles in the first place). I wanted confirmation if Evelyn was a Clawthorne.
I was surprised that Hunter's new palisman wasn't a wolf (why would they bring up how much he loves them if he wasn't going to have one as his new palisman. I thought having another bird would be too painful). His name is Waffles🧇Look it up.
Also think Hunter deserved to be included in the Belos goo stomp-fest.
When King's dad said "I am king and queen. Best of both things!" he was quoting King from 'Enchanting Grom Fright' after he put on Luz's Grom Queen tiara.

I kinda just feel empty and sad after this episode. Like I loved it, don’t get me wrong. But like it’s been such a big part of my life for the last two-ish years and now I don’t know what to do lmao
When I usually watch shows that I really enjoy, I force myself to cry for them when they end. When I watched the end of The Owl House, I had to force myself to stop.
For a show that got cut brutally short, I think they did a great job of pulling it all together into a well thought out finale.
The tattoos that you mentioned are all tattoos of Flapjack! All of the main kids (Luz, Willow, Amity, Gus, Hunter) have it
I got very emotional when she said she was the good witch Luz instead of Luzura because for me it symbolized the fact that she finally believed in herself and I felt like a proud parent

Funny enough I only started crying once everything was good. Specifically when i saw Hunter carve the palisman. Just pure relief joy and catharsis. I cried like a baby. Full on ugly crying.
I also thought it was actually perfect which doesn't happen often. They fought tooth and nail against Disney putting rocks in their road and they fucking pulled it of. ❤
