The casters saying Fernando beat Ian Rob before the top 4 match is cowardly. Own it, you disqualified him, and we all the saw the new world champ lose in top 8.........
Ian was not robbed of anything. He got a game lost due to a questionable gesture that could have been interpreted as a sexual. Don’t forget that this is a kids games. Pokemon don’t play that crap and they aren’t afraid to show you the door if you don’t play by their rules.
Isaiah Bradner did a similar gesture with no punishment on stream, you could also consider it not to be what you think it was and instead him rolling dice which ultimately helped him win which is why he would celebrate it.
Or do it like the one piece card game. You opponent takes a prize card if you hit them for their life. So the first to take all their prizes loses. Which is how pokemon should be to allow a comeback factor.
The prizes aren't what robbed Jesse, it was Pokemon's decision for the final game. They should have either A, let Ian play with a warning and a penalty of some sort, or B, just pushed Jesse through to Day 3. Literally EVERYBODY was expecting that last game to be Jesse VS Ian resulting in Miraidon ex staying undefeated into Day 3, but Pokemon listened to a bunch of whiners and misinterpreted a fist pump as something crude, causing a horrific snowball effect. @@ARDIZsq that would be unfair in favor of Jesse then. They should’ve done some triangular with Jesse and the two other guys in the upper bracket I.e all the three plays against each other, and the one with two wins, or with more 2-0 wins is the new champion

They've completely snubbed the entire thing about Ian's gesture. "Was issued a match loss for an unsportsmanlike conduct *before* the match was concluded" No the game had concluded, the match slip was signed, the match winner interview was done. TCG worlds top 4 did not happen in 2024, see you guys in 2025. Do better.
I do understand the logic behind it, but I think it's RADICALLY jumping to conclusions too. Could the gesture be x? Yeah. It could also be y. No one was damaged and hurt by this "unsportsmanlike" gesture, until 2 hours later it was deemed bad enough to turn a win into a loss. Not really my idea of sportsmanship from the governing body honestly. Even going by the thought process that not punishing him will "encourage similar behavior" is stupid because the gesture was very innocent on it's face. Just hyped for winning. Now if someone created a hole with their other hand and put the other hand's a index finger in and out, that I would wholeheartedly understand being too vulgar for this event, even if I personally would probably just laugh seeing it 😅 But what happened here is honestly overkill

I mean, it’s one thing to ban Ian, and another completely different to let Fernando go to the semis. He doesn’t deserve it, so they should’ve paused the tournament for a while and then do another format with the remaining players other than both.
What they SHOULD have done is just pushed Jesse into the finals. Instead they put him against a player who had already been eliminated and it robbed him of the Day 3. Absolutely terrible way of handling this decision. Hell, they could have just issued a warning or a penalty of like, 2 prizes or something and still let Ian play out the match.
@@ARDIZsq that would be unfair in favor of Jesse then. They should’ve done some triangular with Jesse and the two other guys in the upper bracket I.e all the three plays against each other, and the one with two wins, or with more 2-0 wins is the new champion
@@Lucas.Gurgel3how would it be unfair in Jesses favor? His opponet Ian got a match loss after the match was decided in top 8. Therefore that match loss should have been enforced in top 4. Therefore putting Jesse into the finals.
@@boxkid759 he’d need to play 1 game less to be a champion. It’s a clear benefit
@@Lucas.Gurgel3 yeah but if his opponent got a match loss it doesn't make sense to have him play an opponent that was not his.
Iann Robbed... I would be sooo sour after this and prolly never went to another tournament ever again..
@@pavelsevcik2520 He literally HANDED it over to Fernando 😂
Huhhhh. Yes Ian was robbed but himself
They've completely snubbed the entire thing about Ian's gesture.
"Was issued a match loss for an unsportsmanlike conduct *before* the match was concluded"
No the game had concluded, the match slip was signed, the match winner interview was done.
TCG worlds top 4 did not happen in 2024, see you guys in 2025.
Do better.
Andrew Mahone aka Tricky Gym just confirmed that Ian Robb personally told him that he immaturely nutted on his opponent after the swift 2-0ed
Why the cards have to be so ugly
Only ian fans here lol hdjdjdjdd go chile
THE WHOLE CHAMPIONSHIP IS FRAUDULENT. Pokemon handled the situation poorly
i guess nobody care what happen to Ian Robb...
We do care. It was deserved. Cry more
@@ryulee4087 naaaah he’s a dummy 😂
I do understand the logic behind it, but I think it's RADICALLY jumping to conclusions too. Could the gesture be x? Yeah. It could also be y. No one was damaged and hurt by this "unsportsmanlike" gesture, until 2 hours later it was deemed bad enough to turn a win into a loss.
Not really my idea of sportsmanship from the governing body honestly.
Even going by the thought process that not punishing him will "encourage similar behavior" is stupid because the gesture was very innocent on it's face. Just hyped for winning. Now if someone created a hole with their other hand and put the other hand's a index finger in and out, that I would wholeheartedly understand being too vulgar for this event, even if I personally would probably just laugh seeing it 😅
But what happened here is honestly overkill
@@Neonyticit’s Pokémon man they always do the most dramatic thing most of us still haven’t forgotten the pronoun debacle
@@dr.drawnstuff1882 oh I haven't either. I do appreciate the sentiment of keeping the community safe and kid friendly, but darn if it doesn't take the most extreme line of reasoning sometimes to argue why they do certain things.
