"Sonic Blast Next is a re-imagining of what Sonic Blast would have looked like if it were created for hardware that could actually handle the 3D pre-rendered graphics (or if 3D blast was 2D)
Mixing in new and old, Sonic's new move the jump dash, functions like a double jump but you can charge up a spin dash to make Sonic blast off when he touches the ground!"
Personally speaking, this is the exact kind of Sonic game that I've been dreaming of having for a while, so I'm super excited for this project. Thank you to Sharb for doing a fantastic job so far!
Not recorded on a real VCR! I’m just using some ReShade effects to try and replicate it! Unfortunately the game doesn’t support 4:3 so I did my best with editing! You’ll probably notice that some of the screen is cut off as a result.

what reshade effects are you using, this is the most authentic ive seen reshade shaders look!

I tweaked a bunch of settings to make it look like this, it’s not too difficult!

I always love it when projects like these give off a retro Sega Saturn like feel. That's the vibe I get while watching this.
I absolutely LOVE so much those pre-rendered sprites, i always wanted to do a fangame with that style

Thank you, you're giving this middle-aged man childhood memories I forgot about. Master System was more popular than NES in my country so me and my friends used to play these all the time. I even got this one for birthday and hearing the same music rendition is making me relish on the memories.

Visually this reminds me of Yoshi's story, almost as if this could've been Sonic's interpretation of that game
I love the aesthetic, the music everything gives me nostalgia, fake memories that never existed.

CONGRATS ON 1K, also how did you get the audio to sound like that, i used a vinyl audio effect and didn't sound as good as whatever your using in this vid

So like is this a rom hack, like I could play it on a Saturn Emulator or Dreamcast Emulator? If no, maybe a Saturn port?

Everyone compares it to DKC but I’ve honestly been thinking the same! It feels very similar to Yoshi’s Story, and that’s a game I really love!

ntsc-rs, i don't have the settings to recreate the filter, so you have to try to recreate the settings yourself and then upload a vhs test vid with the settings in the desc
edit: it's reshape, still, try to recreate the settings from what the vid looks like as best as you can
