Personally, when playing Metroid, I simply do it for the fact that you can submerge into it's vast and vivid worlds, I always feel like an archaeologist rather then a headhunter. The game creates just such an amazing atmosphere and is simply outstanding in how well it actually works, there's just so much tension and excitement to experience when exploring the game.
Sorry, old comment. I think that it makes sense that Samus is both a very capable bounty hunter as well as archeologist given her past as a foster child to a species that mysteriously died out. Perhaps she is still is still looking for answers as well as maintaining her weaponry so she won't be denied in her search. A job as a bounty hunter could be a means to an end. Is bounty hunter even an accurate description for her job? You never see her fulfill a bounty. Also, it is weird how all of her adventures bring her into contact with a species on the brink of destruction or having already been destroyed. Bears strong similarity with the Chozo.
Apparently the use of Bounty Hunter in the original games was because of a misunderstanding/mistranslation of what a bounty hunter actually is/does. The Japanese devs always thought of Samus as an altruistic hero rather than a Spike Spiegel. I kind of prefer looking at Samus this way, although space bounty hunters like Boba Fett and that cast of Cowboy Bebop are still awesome.
The lore definatley sells this area. That's some grimdark shit for nintendo standards. I personally prefer G.F.S Valhalla, but this song is too good to pass up.
i adore the metroid prime trilogy, only thing im missing in mp3 is the weapon switching, it was so cool to watch the arm canon expand in all directions in the first 2 parts ^^
@@bravelordspeedo4836 Not to mention it works in the Trilogy versions of Prime 1 and 2. It's unfortunate and I really hope they include it in Prime 4. I really can't wait for it, it's already been 3 years since its announcement.
I think Bryyo's backstory is one of the most tragic of the Metroid Prime series' planets. A world torn and tainted by misunderstanding, about to be saved through the repentance of one of its assailants...only to be doomed to rot when its only hope is snuffed out by further stupidity...A brilliant culture gone to waste, taking its home with it.
It wasn't misunderstanding. It was arrogance. The Bryyoans didn't understand balance between the old ways and science was crucial. It's a warning for us too. We can't dismiss everything our ancestors said and did because they didn't understand the material world as we do now.
@Writter Gamer yeah is soo sad that the bryonian broke up in an civil war and end up lose both magic and science it woulded be cool see how an bryonian woulded look like
Couldn't have said it better myself. The degree of exploration and the immersive feeling you get from each world and its environments is what made the Prime trilogy one of my all time favorites.
Metroid also has tons of occasions where you need to backtrack to get stuff. I kinda wish Zelda games had this too. You use your dungeon item once or twice after the dungeon and then its just gonna rot in your inventory. Twilight Princess especially, they could have done so many intricate puzzles with the floaty cogwheel. Metroids not named Other M have a huge amount of sidesteps that make heavy use of at least one mechanic, and thats really cool.
Ok, I've written up some lyrics based on what I hear. I've tried to make them read as "alien" as possible, as if sung by a choir of an extinct reptilian civilization. Try to keep up! The music sounds so old. Its very possible like Christeenaloveslps says The Earth might turn to this if war keeps going on and on. What makes me love this planet is the music and the lore in this place (Age of science) so over all i love this planet :)
Alright, I've played all the Metroid Prime games, most of the Halo games, and COD Modern Warfare 2. What are my views of them? Metroid Prime - Tops the others in Story. COD - All about the multiplayer Halo - Compromise between the two
I love Kenji Yamamoto's music.Too bad that he had to use samples especially on these kind of tracks where the choirs are important. An orchestrated version would be absolutely awesome
KandemJV I think the choirs that set the rhythm are ok sounding synthetic, after all, Bryyo's one of those planets where the whole technology-meets-ancient magic stuff happens.
Yeah, Retro put so much time and effort into this game. Did you know that EVERY texture is unique? And, for example, the wierd spike-ball trees on Bryyo, that no two trees are the same, and the closer they are to the Leviathan, the more "corrupted" they look? I just can't get over the amount of detail this game has!
So catchy. Was stuck in my head as I walked to the shops the other day. And humming it the same time. Kenji Yamamoto for the win! And the other two who helped him!
Apparently during development, Corruption was supposed to feature actual sequences of piloting Samus' gunship, would've made for some nice variety. But this track is by far one of my favorites in this game, and that's saying something considering how amazing the Prime trilogy's soundtrack is.
This song was really befitting of the lore u collected throughout the map. It felt so epic while learning of an ancient civilization ravaged and torn by a civil war fought by the ways of new (science) and the ways of old (magic), and then all but annihilated by phazon.
just started playing the game ,, must say this is the typical nintendo game . with the typical stuck-in-your-head type music .. awesome stuff ~ thnx fr uploadin !
The best part is that this kind of feeling holds true across all the Prime games, Super Metroid, and Metroid 2. Other M can choke on itself, and the original leaves a little more to be desired (still holds the #1 spot though). I especially like the Torvus Bog of Prime 2. That has to be my favorite area, along with the Temple Grounds. The atmosphere in that game was just done so cleanly..
I love the atmosphere and the quantity of different lifeforms. I almost spend more than half the game time just looking after aliens. I love that in every MP. I wish i could be there.
I had a blast exploring Bryyo, but most of the environments in Echoes and Corruption were pretty vanilla when compared to the first Prime's locales. Such exotic, varied environments...truly as great as Super and Fusion's.
best track of the game, dare I say the entire Prime series. I don't think I can recall a video game franchise that has a soundtrack that fills the atmosphere of the game quite like Metroid. Off the top of my head I can think of only Castlevania that has an as good soundtrack for the games in their franchise.
This darkest video game music makes perfect fitting moments for the Decepticons of Transformers as I saw TransformersFanG138's Transformers Online fan series a long time ago with this music a long time ago. This song from Metroid Prime 3 Corruption is best fitting Decepticon theme.

Metroid Prime 3 was really Amazing. All Metroid Prime Games are still Blockbusters
Bryyo is probably my favorite location in any video game. The awesome visuals, atmospheric music and dark lore just makes it so good
The lore definatley sells this area. That's some grimdark shit for nintendo standards. I personally prefer G.F.S Valhalla, but this song is too good to pass up.
It's definitely a metroid world alright
It's so sad how people don't appreciate the beauty of the music in the Metroid Prime series. This oozes epicness!

Its honestly a powerful depiction of how disgusting the roots of war can be.

It's a warning for us too. We can't dismiss everything our ancestors said and did because they didn't understand the material world as we do now.
Powerful theme. One of my favorites in the trilogy.
Hi Giegue
Hi random person
And so well does it illustrate the collapse of civilization that I can easily imagine this playing to a time lapse of the rise and fall of Rome.
a touch on the tribal side to me but I see where your going with that.

Sharpie473 Well, they used some orchestra in Other M, but don't expect anyone talking about that
Gustavo Paz Oh yeah I completely forgot actually, lol. I've never actually listened to any of those themes.
KandemJV I think the choirs that set the rhythm are ok sounding synthetic, after all, Bryyo's one of those planets where the whole technology-meets-ancient magic stuff happens.

I love this tune. Its so epic, majestic and it totally sets the right moody atmosphere to the planet.
the music from all three metroid prime games are epic and amazing. Props to the person behind the music at retro studios.
Excellent music suitable for a game whose acronym is MP3.
And after we get wiped out some alien race will make a game with our civilization's ruins as a map while someone sings about pounds of beef.

I completely agree with you. We seriously need more games like this that truly nail that sort of alien atmosphere down.
I'd always get this song stuck in my head during long sojourns into the Bryyo hinterlands. Good times...
Beautifull song, it brings to mind visions of deserted lands encrusted on a lost civilization, what Bryyo reflects.
This game is incredible.
this sound like the luminoth Music, so i love this song so much like my own live. It tells a story...and this story is full of sadness and pain.
This is easily my favorite track from MP3, and is definitely up there as one of my faves from the series.
this. is the most atmospheric track ever made for metroid, I just love it.
I really like the look of the PED Suit's Morph Ball. It looks... mystic.
