You really managed to capture the feeling of an old world with this! A world of colossal architecture, ravaged by a self cannibalizing war that left the landscape riven between the fire of an unending sun, and frozen darkness. Bryyo has to be (dare I say) the most unique destination in the Metroid franchise.
I love that just like Dark Souls, the prime games are quite vague in their introductions as to what the story is, and just what you know from the story itself of what transpired prior to arrival. The story is as discovered based on the lore you come across, or the tidbits that you add up as you explore the planets, with Bryyo being no exception to this. The corruption of Phazon as seen on Tallon IV can cause any civilization to fall to its knees no matter how advance they are. The more advanced, the more threatening their phazon related threats tend to be. Bryyonians were a hearty civilization who became highly powerful and capable after their corruption while losing themselves to it at the same time.
I was just thinking and realizing that as I reminisced about learning about Bryyo's lore when I first played this game long ago. The way you had to discover the lore by scanning and actively looking for it only made me more curious and appreciative.
@@Atlantiquasa Though, I feel some try without understanding what was good about this kind of storytelling. It seems some companies or people just missunderstand it as a way to make minimal effort and let the players create the lore for you.
You are the only one who remixed my favorite atmospheric theme of all of the Primes. It's original version really captured the essence of not just the ancient civilizations of Bryyo, but matches so well with it's lore! I was fascinated to learn about the Bryyonian civilization's history. Their rise to glory saw an abrupt end due to conflicting ideologies. Something the Bryyonian failed to accomplish unlike the Chozo. But not all Bryyonian were mad by politics... This theme could only fuel imagination further. You did a fantastic job at capturing this feeling.
George Nippleton I'm really glad you enjoyed it! :'3. I am also a huge fan of the Metroid (especially Prime) series and that atmosphere was one of the best things in any game I've played. So I'm glad I was able to do it justice. :) Thanks for listening!
+JazawaToad Thank you! Yeah you should thank my friend who introduced me to it, as since I haven't had a chance to play Prime 3, I hadn't heard it until they requested a remix for it. Thanks for listening! ^^
Best remix from this area for sure!! I can't get tired of listening to it! Thanks i used it while making some level progress on my upcoming update for ancient chozo :)
bryyo, just beautiful to hear. even now the wii era comes to an end. it's the best song with the intro of the first metroid. when i go to the gym i put bryyo before starting. warrior modus.
My personal favorite of the Prime series is the Remix of Brinstar Red Soil in Torvus Bog Underwater. But I mean, there is literally no track in Metroid I don't like. Probably one of my top 3 in terms of series OSTs.
+Frname Glad you liked it! Since I had never heard Bryyo Cliffside until I started making this track, I'm glad it turned out as well as it did. Thanks for listening! ^^
This is a pretty good remix, it has a lot of good assets, with that said I know why I always find your music a bit odd. You have all of the assets, or tracks of the song at pretty much the same volume. You have this thing going, and then another thing, and then another thing, etc. It feels like an onion, it has a bunch of layers. Which if you really look at it, is bad, it's fine for it to have layers, it should, but it shouldn't feel like that, it should all sync together. I think you need to have something by dominant throughout the song, and the rest are in the background, or maybe another track takes the role of the main track for like 20 or 30 seconds or something.

That picture shows how big the place was originally planned to be like. The many floors are amazing, shame we never got this.
Playing the game again it feels a bit rushed, it's kind of telling that many bosses have the "earthquake jump" attack
