I bought a HP Victus Gaming Laptop that has an NVIDIA RTX 3050ti and a 12 Gen i7 processor and it has a USB-C port on it, I didn't realize that I could use that port for display out! I've been using the same HDMI cord since I've been using on PS3 on my monitor that has 144hz on HDMI and Displayport. I was thinking about buying a USB C to DP cord that was $40 that supports up to 240hz and seeing if that gained a better performance on my monitor!
I bought a new 1440p monitor to replace my 1080p monitor (244hz) the 1440p monitor is advertised as 244hz also but only supports 144hz using HDMI. Using the display port connector supports up to 244hz. So obviously going to be using the display port from now on. Thanks for the video.
It's strange but I feel like with HDMI it is a bit blurry. I normally have my PC connected to my monitor with a DisplayPort and my wife had hers connected with HDMI. I always thought her PC was not displaying things as well as mine, despite her being a better rig. Right now I connected my laptop that is better than my current PC, but I am using HDMI and it just doesn't feel like the resolution is as crisp as my old PC was
My graphics card (NVDIA RTX) offers both hdmi and display port. My display/monitor (BenQ271c) offers both hdmi and display port. Which configuration should I use for video and still photography editing? HDMI to HDMI?, DisplayPort to DisplayPort? or how about DisplayPort to HDMI?
I have a drawing tablet that uses HDMI, I'm assuming I can use a DisplayPort too from the GPU should I get lucky on Black Friday with a 25" 4k monitor?

DisplayPort to DisplayPort will give you the best result for gaming.
HDMI to HDMI will give you the best result for visuals.

Yes!
is there any drawback if i use gpu (display port) to monitor (hdmi) convert plugs ??
Set ur monitor 4k 120hz and no dsc. HDMI is much higher bandwidth 48gbps vs dp like 27
HDMI strengths : tvs don't use DP
DP weaknesses : tvs don't use DP
HDMI is more ubiquitous, DP is only on computers and monitors
