In my video, I took some of the bulgogi stew out of the my clay pot and put it in a smaller clay pot since I wanted to serve it for one person in this video. So my clay pot was not hot at all. You might wonder how I could hold that hot pot without any oven mitts.. hehe so please make sure that you wear oven mitts to hold the hot clay pot. 😉
i love your videos. i make and pack all kinds of 찌개 and 반찬 to my boyfriend (he lives alone in usa) so he can enjoy during week and he can feel not too much homesick and he loves my cooking thanks to you and other korean youtubers showing me how to make delicious homemade korean food
Wow, your Korean bf is so lucky to have you. You are so sweet to him. I'm sure that your Korean food will comfort him for his homesick. When I got married, it was my big joy to cook and feed Korean food almost every day for my American husband. Since he enjoyed my food a lot, it made me want to cook for him more and more. I can feel the love and energy from you too..maybe you feel the same way I had...hehe THanks

Oh yes ~~~ it's a little bit expensive here too.. I prefer to make Korean food at home too.. it's healthier.. more delicious and of course can save some money.. :) hehe
I grew up with this style of eating and now that I'm independent, I can appreciate the time it took to create so many side dishes. I love this style of eating because of the variety and you feel more satisfied with less cravings this way. Thanks for sharing :D The bulgolgi stew looked really fancy!!
I always wondered how different the authentic Chinese food .. compare to the Chinese food we can get in the restaurants in America.. :) What was your favorite food from your mom when you were little ?? ^^
Aeri's Kitchen Chinese food is very similar to Korean. Three side dishes, bok Choy, soup and rice. We have "soong" (can't write Chinese 😣) which are basically banchan. My mom was a bad cook but my grandma was great 😋👍. My favorite dish my grandma would make are plain rice crepe rolls. She would add green onions and dried shrimp in them sometimes. As for a dinner side dishes, my grandma often made so much variety. Steamed fluffy eggs, whole fish seasoned in a soy sauce soup base, tripe, salt and pepper whitebait or anchovies. 🐟 On special occasions my grandma made these fried Mochi balls stuffed with minced pork and Chinese radish.
Yes...you are right ...but in some point.. as I mentioned in the video. most of the dishes in this video, you can eat them more than once.. so it's not too bad ;) hehe
Aeri you're killing me!!! Please let me move in with you!!!! :) Everything looks so delicious!! You put in a lot of work to make such a beautiful dinner. You are an amazing mother and wife! God bless you and your family!!

I would love to try some of that potato soup you look really good 😇 I have bought my mom and dad chopsticks for the anniversary but the problem is don't know how to use chopsticks could you do a video on it please.😇
You have plenty of side-dishes, you can make this meal up to 6 or more.. but you need to make more rice and soup for the meal.. I made this recipe for about 2-3 servings.. so you can consider it ;) Thanks..
Love watching your videos, especially your recent vegetarian videos ! I’m going to make today of ur veggie broth &tofu stew. May I ask where you purchased all your beautiful serving dishes set ? Is there a link too ? 😍😍😍😍
I got them at Hmart (Korean grocery store).. I looked at hmart online site for you to check..but unfortunately, they didn't sell it online..I guess it's because it's fragile..they don't want to deal the issue ... difficult to deliver.. etc.. anyway..if you have Hmart around you.. check it out.

Aeri's Kitchen thank you this looks like the best recipe for me to try I've tried a few before they didn't taste like it was when I was in Korea but this one looks like it would turn out real good I'm going to use it and thank you so much
Aeri's Kitchen When I was in uni, I would often go to the Little Korea Town near our school and buy seaweed paper in bulk. And I would roast around 300 papers in one night. When I'm lazy too lazy, I just grab one roasted gim and add rice. And I have a delicious meal already hehe
Nice table settings. I was wondering before if how they make it in korean dramas...now i know it's their normal table set up for koreans too much in one meal....yummy!
hehe.. yes we eat a meal with many different kinds of side dishes..but many of the side-dishes include kimchi can be made ahead of time and store for a good time.. so you don't have to all those side-dishes for every meal.. as a result it's not as difficult as you think. :)
@@aeriskitchen very inspiring and easy to follow recipes...keep it up Aeri. Will try korean food next week so i am excited coz all i know are bulgogi and jjampong...good to see different kinds in your videos.
How you eat those dried seaweed layers? Just eat it with rice or put the kimchi inside and make a roll before eating? Sorry I have not tried Korean food before
hi Huong Nguyen, Oh, you don't have to say sorry. I'm not familiar with many other countries' food either. :) About your question, there are different ways to enjoy dried seaweed in Korean cuisine. You can season and roast it and eat it rice as you thought.. you can just roast it and wrap the rice with kimchi and soy sauce too.. you can put the seaweed in the soup as a garnish.. you can make kimbap with it..which is rolled rice with seaweed with other ingredients.. :)
rice is served on the left of the soup?! when i make korean meals for my family and friends i mistakenly put the rice where the stew is .... on the right!😅
You can use normal rice vinegar or... whatever vinegar you like to use.. for dipping jeon.. if you add little bit of chopped green onion and onion...and.. thinly sliced garlic .. that dipping sauce will taste even better.. ;)

All the food on that table is for one person? Can a person really finish it all? I'm not being sarcastic just curious. I usually eat a three course meal and is full. Trying to figure out how koreans stay skinny with a table set up like that.
It have been changing...but traditionally,.. Korean eating culture is sharing side dishes on the table... so each person will have his / her own rice and soup...but the rest of the dishes will be shared with others on the table.. it is especially common at home... but nowadays.. more and more people have own seperate individual side dish plates or serving spoons for side dishes too as western people would do... anyway...
