    THAAAANK YOOOOOU!!!! Nobody was ever explaining what nominal ordinal and scale were for and I was plain confused. But you explained it really well. BTW you look so much like Rami Malek

      Hi Kdrama, really glad to know it was helpful for you. Hopefully you will be able to transfer your questionnaire with perfection :) Rami Malek, really? I loved Bohemian Rhapsody, so that's great!

    Thank you! I tried working with data directly exported from Qualtrics but it was terrible. Manually creating variables is much easier

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  3 года назад +2

      Right? I think so too. It is almost impossible to export directly in way that you even understand. And actually preparing the variable sheet is quite fun. Put some music and prepare a nice drink and you are done in no time. Enjoy the analysis!

    so...how can you import data?

  • @Akshibhalla
    @Akshibhalla 3 года назад +2

    I just have one question.. Is a likert scale Ordinal or interval data? Because I think its ordinal but you mentioned it as Interval.?

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  3 года назад +4

      Likert-type scales are "Interval", as distances between values are deemed to be the same (actually there is a whole discussion on this, I suggest reading the article I wrote on the site). On SPSS, select "scale" as type when entering the variable.

    very nice explanation, one question, if MCQ has multiple choices e.g., music choices and person can write more than once choices , then in the value we should type yes or no

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  Год назад +1

      Yes, this is one way of doing it. Simply typing the value of "yes", if the answer has been ticked, and "no" if it has not. Hope that helps!

    Hi,could you demonstrate how to export data from excel to spss for analysis?

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  Год назад +1

      Hi Betty, sure I will work on it. But spider alert: it would not suggest. There are no many errors in doing so. I suggest doing it manually. There is a video on the channel for it. Have a wonderful day!

    Hi, is it possible to have a tutorial on how to manually input your data on spss as I can’t copy and paste from survey monkey on the free version ?

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  3 года назад +2

      Hi Tom, this is exactly what this video is about. I take you step-by-step on how to manually do it. Or have I understood your question wrong? Hope you are having a great day.

    • @tomjones4978
      @tomjones4978 3 года назад +2

      @@liveinnovationorg thanks for responding, I mean how do you input the answers I have received from my survey monkey questionnaire, I may have missed it in the video if you did explain this sorry

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  3 года назад +2

      @@tomjones4978 Hey Tom, no worries at all. Well, you need to "extract" the numerical sheet with the actual numerical values. All online survey platforms allow you to do it. Extract to Excel, then simply copy and past the numerical values to the "Data view" on SPSS. Hope that helps!

  • @eyobtesfaye5337

    what about for open ended questions

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  Год назад +1

      As long as they are numerical, you may insert them (and adjust the type of variable they are). But not if they are non-numerical, then it will not work.

  • @IamJoeHumphreys

    Can i manually input on data view?

    • @liveinnovationorg
      @liveinnovationorg  3 года назад +2

      Of course. You can simply copy the numerical data from Excel, for example and paste on the "data view". Just be careful you are pasting it correctly. Have a great day :)
