    Glad yours is in good condition. The POS my girlfriend bought for $4,000 has cost us $5,000 in repairs so far. 3 fuel pumps, new starter, and a new junction box. Chevrolet refuses to do a recall on the fuel pump and connector or junction box even though it's a consistent problem on this model!😤 The fact the transmission is a closed circuit and you can't check the fluid levels is just crazy!!!!

      Inheritied one of these from an elderly driver, 2012. Has 56K on it and I always drive my cars until they fall apart. Did you drive it relatively easy to get to 215K?

      @@IronMikeSharpe-st2mnthe 2.4l i4 motor isn’t bad, just change the oil and don’t drive it like a sports car and it will last. I would be worried about the transmission going out first

      @@IronMikeSharpe-st2mnthats my other account you replied to. I bough at 160k.
      For someone still thinking about buying this car, buy it for less. It’s not worth a lot of money.
      Check the engine oil level regularly and keep an eye on the coolant reservoir level. Fill up when they both go low.
      Add lucas additive during oil change. Will stop engine oil burns.
      I also used head gasket sealer and never had low coolant level after that.
      Do not drive this car like a racing car. Revv slowly and drive like an expensive luxury car. Slow and smooth. It will last you alot alot alot longer.
      Remove drL fuse. Causes headlights to blowout too soon. After removing this fuse, I don’t have headlights issues. Change with the led ones. Better reliability. Use less power.
      Steering light comes on sometimes. I feel it’s more electrical issue than mechanical issue. tends to fail on this car but check electrical connections first.

    have a 2010 with 184000; headlight changing is a pain-replaced the socket; replaced wiper transmission; repaired exhaust; and ball joints replaced....ecotec 4cylinder still humming......had to touch up clear coat on one side......overall dependable....

    2.4 all have timing chain stretch issues @ 100000 miles I would change it for that is an interference engine

      @crazythingis 2 года назад +1

      @@chrissprings23 no the 3.6 is really bad. He also said that the older 3800 v6(3.8) was really good. If you search on RUclips there are always issues with the 3.6.

      @@crazythingis what about the 2.4

    • @crazythingis
      @crazythingis 2 года назад +1

      @@aidenshutup2233 I’m not an expert but just try to search it up on RUclips and you’ll see all the common problems and what to expect. I have heard that the timing chain guides and tensioners can go bad on I think both the 2.4 and 3.6. I even have a 2.4 as well (100k miles)and I don’t really have any engine problems but mine does have a few electrical gremlins like not starting once every few weeks sometimes even few days (I just takeoff the battery terminal and put it back on and it starts after that. I still haven’t found the issue though).
