I'm always amazed by how much the built quality has improved of American pick-up trucks. They're so luxurious and well designed. I especially like the RAM, but the Silverado always has been a close runner-up for me :)
tufkid91 I like to know that I can stop starting it at anytime if that even makes sense, i think that if the truck wont start, the starter will be going for way to long
I bought this truck except it has the Cocoa Dune interior, all I can say is that I love the hell out it. The White Diamond Tricoat looks amazing after its waxed and the sun hits it. The 6.2 is just a badass engine lol
that thing sounds nice, i imagine people will not get as far as the sound clip because people will comment "garbage" because it is a chevy and a truck and still live in the early 21st century
DimensiiioN Inefficient? Hmm... Have you noticed how almost all trucks have this thing under the rear bumper? That's a hitch, and it is used to haul. And that bed behind the rear cab? That's more useable cargo space than most, if not any SUV out on the market. Seems you have a pretty ignorant sense of what's efficient and what's not. The average person considers the large cargo capacity and the ability to haul thousands of pounds with ease, to be an efficient way of transporting things. Maybe you should focus more of your time on developing your brain, as you are using it very inefficiently.
DimensiiioN Stupid and inefficient? I don't think you fully understand what a truck is... They're designed to move things and do work. Its MPGs might not be as high as a Scion IQ but I've never seen anyone tow a boat in a Scion either. Now please tell me what's the 'smart' choice for pulling a 5th wheel camper or moving 20 bags of mulch?
Handsome truck. At first I was a little skeptical about GM's new truck design (including the SUVs), but now I think they're starting to grow on me a bit. Great review Kyle!
To Infiniti, And Beyond What made me skeptical is all this eco-greeno-enviro bullshit that theyre shoving down everybody's throats. I dont care if they put ridiculously small 4-6 cylinder engines in these trucks, but there should ALWAYS be several V8 options as well. This one in the video is good enough.
To Infiniti, And Beyond The new SUVs look fantastic in person. All of the guttering has been hidden away masterfully, the exteriors look very uncluttered.
I could tell you did your homework on this vehicle. Excellent review and one fine truck for anyone to own. That 6.2 v8 is legend and the 8 speed auto is a good match to it's performance.
This is by far the BEST review on the internet! The details you provided is right on the money and no one else on the internet has provided as much detail including Chevy. A job well done, the future in car/truck review is very bright for you. I will be purchasing a LTZ this weekend because you have convinced me. Congratulation you have the best reviews!
***** I kid you not, I was JUST looking for a decent review of this truck last night, and BAM you just uploaded this 2 hours ago. It's like you knew! hahaha As always, I really enjoy your reviews. No one comes close to the quality of your reviews. Thanks!
Street Speed 717 lol nice. I sold mine a few years back. She was a fun car. No supercharger like the one in your review, but full bolt ons. Just enough to have some fun.
Hmmm, I've been testing a Suburban for about a week now, and I expected some things to carry over from the interior, but I gotta say Chevy did a great job of giving each car in their line up a personality of its own. The Silverado has a lot of functional things in it to help the workers that it's designed for where as the Suburban entertainment and comfort. This is why I like Chevy, well that and they invented the El Camino...
Saabkyle04. Good job on the review. Yours, is the only review I've seen that actually showed the suspension, and explained it. I've studied cars and trucks for nearly 30yrs, and in particular the suspension. Aluminum does save weight, but there are significant drawbacks to it's use on vehicles, especially on 4x4 trucks. GM claims these A-Arms are 10% stiffer. That doesn't mean stronger. For example, if off roading the wheel hits something very hard, or a rock makes contact to the control arm itself. Which has happened to me personally, Aluminum can crack, deeming the truck undriveable, or dangerous to drive until the control arm is replaced. Steel control arms, might bend, but you would be able to drive home safely. These Aluminum control arms on GM's half tons look identical to the old trucks, no added bracing or anything. If you research Aluminum for use on suspension, Metallurgists advise that increased material and bracing be used. Aluminum also fatigues much faster than steel. Rams 1/2 ton trucks also use aluminum control arms. Why not use the new high tensile steel for the control arms. It's lighter, and would be extremely strong.
Oh god you're he best kyle. Simply the best. Just keep it up and do more and more great cars and trucks man. What else can i say? Wish you all the best
Kyle, Ask your Chevy dealer to let you know if he ever gets ahold of either a 5.3L or 6.2L with the factory Borla option. I'd like to see how much it elevates in cab exhaust rumble.
I love how the Tailgate opens up Finally !!! Great looking truck-Big fan of the horse power of the new engines..I want to check out that vibrating driver seat
I can't believe that new 4.3 puts out 307 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque when using E85. That's basically as good as the outgoing 5.3 and a HUGE improvement over the previous versions. I'd probably still opt for the 5.3 though.
Definitely a great truck. Obviously I'm a Ford guy by my username, but I'm not closed-minded and I really like all three trucks; the Ram, Ford, and the Chevy. (Actually, I prefer the Sierra to the Silverado styling-wise). One thing that I think Chevy could do better, though, is the rear of the Crew Cab. The floor is not completely flat like the Ford, and that makes it more difficult to load big cargo, like a 65" TV for instance. The center seat is also way too small, though the outer seats are nice. Also, there are no air vents in the back, that's a bit disappointing. Oh, and that rear armrest is terrible, there's nowhere to put your arm with the big plastic cup holders in the way. Overall, solid built truck with a very nice interior. I don't like what they did with the center console though, with the moveable cup holders. It looks cheap.
I'm purchasing a truck just like this one except it has the 5.3 and the coco and tan interior, which I think looks even better than the black and grey. First full-size truck. We pick it up tonight. Can't wait.
For the most part, I love it. I have a couple issues though. The windshield seems to be pitting. I noticed this over the last weekend when I deep cleaned the windshield. About 50 or more little knicks or chips on the outside of the windshield. Not sure what that's about. Then, of course, my tire found a nail. Never fails. But in doing so I found that the digital tire pressure readout on the console points to the wrong tires. Both issues will be looked at next week. And I can add that nail to my collection.
The only problem I have with the 2015 Silverado/Sierra is the rear suspension springs and the fact GM is still using leaf springs. They are heavy and put on unnecessary wight where as a coil spring would reduce that unnecessary wight and we all know coils are far more reliable then leaf springs. But I love the fact that the Silverado/Sierra and Suburban/Yukon XL/Escalade ESV still have the shift knob on the steering wheel column. That's really awesome cause its not a real truck if the shift knob isn't on steering wheel column. :p
WRB Mine too! Nice taste! I prefer it over the ram 1500-2500s and even the F1-350 (F150, 250, 350 are their standard use pickups) I would love this pickup truck in white or navy blue!
In the video, you mentioned at 9:36, that the Ram had "independent" rear suspension. Upon further research, I found that it does not have independent rear suspension, rather it has a rear axle that is located by "multi-link/five link" (depending on publication). Just thought I should share that with you.
Great Review! I love that gear shifter on the steering wheel! I think thats the smoothest way for shifting. I hope that Chevrolet and many other manufactures go the same way in the future. Sorry about my pronunciation, i am from germany :D
The 3.42 axle ratio isn't standard on the 6.2L, you can only get that ratio with the max trailering package. The standard ratio according to the Chevy website is 3.23 I believe. The max trailering package on the 5.3L has a 3.73 ratio, unless they changed it from the last time I checked.
hey sabbkyle I'm a big fan of your videos and I was wondering if you can do an in depth review of the 2016 Silverado... it looks pretty cool and I want to watch the video soon. thanks so much if you do
Looks much better than the Colorado!! This one actually looks like a real farmer's truck. Even though Im a Charger guy, when I think about pickups it would be hard to pick between the Silverado, F150, Ram, or Raptor. All have enough room for a family and great power.
+dayway05 Nah I really have to disagree with that. I know it's just matter of opinion and it differs but I happen to love the gray interior on mine. I've been through a lot of vehicles in the last 2.5 years and Ive had the jet black leather on my charger and then Gray and black mix on my ram and the gray leather suits me better and looks nice.
Literally just made a vlog on my channel about why Americans love trucks last week. For anybody bashing trucks please take a second to check it out! If you keep an open mind you may just see why it's a great vehicle to own!
This is a beautiful truck! I am between this and the GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain. Which would you recommend Kyle? I am looking for the 6.2L Engine with a factory installed 6" suspension lift for both options.
I would have to ditch that 99mph speed limiter... It's a QUICK truck and by the time it hit the quarter mile it be worthless.. 111 is an more acceptable limit.
I know a 05 gmc sierra that was oringinal an sle but had alot of options added for the dealership's owner's son, such as a moon roof and its 10 years old with only 13k miles on it.
Unfortunately there is not much that can be done to a pickup truck in the styling or functionality departments, change the front grille and the rear lights, give it more power and fuel economy technology and there you have it. I'd like to see more reviews of the new Lincoln lineup.
2015 Ford F-150! Also nice video Kyle! You should come down to Baker Motor Company in South Carolina and review the Rolls Royce Phantom EWB/RR Pinnacle
The new K2xx GM vehicles have really grown on me. I used to think they were all kind of ugly, but over time they've gotten more and more attractive. Now I love the Tahoe's front lights that I used to think were ugly, and the imposing style of the new Silverado is nice as well. I don't think the new F-150 will ever grow on me though. That front end is just way too ugly.
No smart key access system or push button start and halogen headlamps on an LTZ...I guess those things aren't necessary but they would be nice. Great truck though!
love the video great detail you left one thing out what size bolt is in the frame to hold it... lol love this video I injoyed watching it all very well made
I do miss the truck I drove when I was a trucker in Sweden. It was a dual cab Silverado almost like the one you showing in the video, and no passenger seat and a bed in the back of the cab where the backseat should be.
Blubber Ducky - The Chevrolet Silverado looks like its 1999 predecessor with 2015 updates in technology, and I am sure your comment was sarcasm because that Chevrolet is ugly as sin compared to Ford F150, and America has proven because the F150 is outselling that POS and comes second to none, unlike that POS that you like. Get a real truck.
Kool Acclaimed™ It was sarcasm but looks are all personal opinion i personally like the Silverado's look more. Ever see the Top Gear episode (American) where they put a Ram, Ford, and Silverado against each other, Needless to say the Chevrolet won the other two broke down. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions though and i will respect yours and not argue further. Thank you.
I like that your in depth reviews are actually IN DEPTH, unlike any other videos on RUclips. Awesome job.
I'm always amazed by how much the built quality has improved of American pick-up trucks. They're so luxurious and well designed. I especially like the RAM, but the Silverado always has been a close runner-up for me :)
That's a whole different world than my 06 Z71 hah. Great review as always Kyle nice to another truck in the mix!
Street Speed 717 Hell yeah Brother!
Hey buddy didn’t know you watched Sabbkyle04 before I subbed to you Kyle also
Yoo this the guy i saw with the lifted chevy thats why i like chevy now i even got my self a 2001 chevy 1500
pro trick : you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Arjun Tyler Yup, I've been using flixzone} for months myself :D
I love how GM is sticking with a traditional key and none of that push button ignition crap.
DaGamingChannel those push button has problems in the long run and cost more to fix or replace
tufkid91 I like to know that I can stop starting it at anytime if that even makes sense, i think that if the truck wont start, the starter will be going for way to long
***** Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.
DaGamingChannel GM still needs to keep its recall department employed somehow
DaGamingChannel They do not want to confuse those who buy this truck. Drrp
I bought this truck except it has the Cocoa Dune interior, all I can say is that I love the hell out it. The White Diamond Tricoat looks amazing after its waxed and the sun hits it. The 6.2 is just a badass engine lol
My cousin got this truck and it's badass.
that 6.2L is a beast
thing hauls ass for such a heavy truck.
SANIC So Jealous. This is my dream truck
that thing sounds nice, i imagine people will not get as far as the sound clip because people will comment "garbage" because it is a chevy and a truck and still live in the early 21st century
eggncheezy mixes hhahaha yuppp, we live in a judgmental world where people form an opinion before analyzing the situation.
But it IS a truck and trucks ARE stupid. They are extremely inefficient.
DimensiiioN Inefficient? Hmm... Have you noticed how almost all trucks have this thing under the rear bumper? That's a hitch, and it is used to haul. And that bed behind the rear cab? Sentry white God forbid anybody ever understand that there are thousands of situations where a truck is necessary.
GM makes the best looking trucks and SUVs in my opinion. Plus I love their 5.3L and 6.2L Ecotec3 engines.
Handsome truck. At first I was a little skeptical about GM's new truck design (including the SUVs), but now I think they're starting to grow on me a bit. Great review Kyle!

I could tell you did your homework on this vehicle. Excellent review and one fine truck for anyone to own. That 6.2 v8 is legend and the 8 speed auto is a good match to it's performance.
What cars are u smokin with the 6.2 n 420 hp
Definitely a master piece from Chevrolet. This engine seems to be a great thing to have under the hood!

03SilverMustangGT Just reviewed an 03 silver mustang gt yesterday lol
Street Speed 717 lol nice. I sold mine a few years back. She was a fun car. No supercharger like the one in your review, but full bolt ons. Just enough to have some fun.

I have a 2004 Silverado but I'm saving for this new 6.2L ... Beautiful truck and love the new interior
Big Engine , Big dimensions and a lot of indoor comfort: the USA cars filosophy. simply fantastic!
Looks great! I wasn't a fan of the design at first but it's grown on me. Nice truck indeed Kyle!
Thank you, Kyle, you have set the standards. Now there are some many others following your steps. keep up the good work.

Nah, if I get a Silverado I would almost immediately put a different exhaust on it, and the sound of a V6 just isn't the same as a V8.
THIS IS WHAT I CALL A PICK UP FOR AMERICA, FOR LEISURE, FOR WORK, FOR ANYTHING !!!
Just came here after watching your review of an '86 Silverado crew can dually, would still trade this for the '86
Who would have thought Chevrolets were that loaded? Not me. I thank you for sharing. A GMC Sierra would be an interesting comparison. Thank you Kyle!

WRB Mine too! Nice taste! I prefer it over the ram 1500-2500s and even the F1-350 (F150, 250, 350 are their standard use pickups) I would love this pickup truck in white or navy blue!

I worked at a Chevy dealership and drove this ALL the time, they drive and ride really well, just don't have the most power.
Great Review! I love that gear shifter on the steering wheel! I think thats the smoothest way for shifting. I hope that Chevrolet and many other manufactures go the same way in the future.
Sorry about my pronunciation, i am from germany :D
That exhaust note wasn't too shabby!
I miss the z71 stickers on the side but this truck is still beautiful!
better than f150!
Agreed
Is it really?
@@stopthecap5319 yes

Mm yeah gotta get it. I'm a huge fan of the painted grill.
Lost my 2012 Z71 with the appearance package to a fire so I HAVE to get this one.
Looks much better than the Colorado!! This one actually looks like a real farmer's truck. Even though Im a Charger guy, when I think about pickups it would be hard to pick between the Silverado, F150, Ram, or Raptor. All have enough room for a family and great power.
I also like Chargers!

Three points Veteran Scars
Dude I live in eastern EU, I see way too many of these horrible European style sorry excuses for pickups.
Three points Veteran Scars I threw up a little
Three points Veteran Scars If Dacia calls that a pickup, they had best get that piece of shit off the market and do some major redesigning.
Light gray interiors are so early-2000s. Jet Black is the new standard for the 2010s.
I'd say a nice tan is more modern.
Literally just made a vlog on my channel about why Americans love trucks last week. For anybody bashing trucks please take a second to check it out! If you keep an open mind you may just see why it's a great vehicle to own!
I like your c7... Everyone sub to this guy
carlozmrc thanks man!
Damn man your everywhere lol. Great channel and I'm already subbed!
xenfreder Thank you sir I appreciate it!
Street Speed 717 u
This is a beautiful truck! I am between this and the GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain. Which would you recommend Kyle? I am looking for the 6.2L Engine with a factory installed 6" suspension lift for both options.
Awesome truck and awesome review as always! Good job!
Eight years ago today!! Planning to afford!
I am older now I need this handsome truck and also get a regular cab for work and other stuff
this one and the blackex out edition are fucking badass about time chevy stepped there game up
Damn!! 0-60 in 5.7 seconds!!!
YazeedSaber not bad for 5,400lbs
:/
I would have to ditch that 99mph speed limiter... It's a QUICK truck and by the time it hit the quarter mile it be worthless.. 111 is an more acceptable limit.
***** no one got time for failing Turbos
keri ellerbe have fun when your truck blows up it’s limited to that speed cause the drive shaft can’t spin that fast
I know a 05 gmc sierra that was oringinal an sle but had alot of options added for the dealership's owner's son, such as a moon roof and its 10 years old with only 13k miles on it.
I love the way Toyota Tundra do the full slide down rear window...
I love cars so much and I've always been a fan of your videos. I was wondering could you do one on the 2015 Chevy Malibu 2ltz fully loaded
Great review as usual! If you ever encounter one, can you do an Infiniti QX80 Limited? Keep up the great work!!!!!
Unfortunately there is not much that can be done to a pickup truck in the styling or functionality departments, change the front grille and the rear lights, give it more power and fuel economy technology and there you have it. I'd like to see more reviews of the new Lincoln lineup.
I love it. The only thing I dont like is how the back window angles upwards on the bottom. Idk why but I've never been a big fan of those shapes
kyle, this truck you're showing DOES have the towing package and trailer brake controller. it's above the headlight knob
Wonderful review kyle as always
Youre an inspiration to many. Thank you Kyle
2015 Ford F-150! Also nice video Kyle! You should come down to Baker Motor Company in South Carolina and review the Rolls Royce Phantom EWB/RR Pinnacle
Ugh I love driving these at work (valet) and would love to get one. I just can't justify the payments for something I wouldn't be utilizing. Someday!
Finally a new Chevy V8 starter motor! I'm so excited!
excellent review! keep up the amazing videos
Such a beautiful truck
I enjoy your videos you always make good videos .
Nice job on the review of this truck. Just wondering if you were going to do a review on the new F150?
great review love watching these videos i would love to see a review of the new silverado trailboss with the 6.2 lv8
Beautiful truck and great review!
Another great video, Kyle. How about you hook up a boat trailer or tow something for one of these truck videos?
My future Truck.
Nice!! This is a really sharp looking truck!!
Will you be doing the new XC90? Would love to see that!
Handsome trucks, and though it's the same truck, I'd probably go with a Sierra.
No smart key access system or push button start and halogen headlamps on an LTZ...I guess those things aren't necessary but they would be nice. Great truck though!
love the video great detail you left one thing out what size bolt is in the frame to hold it... lol love this video I injoyed watching it all very well made
Badass truck! Must have! MUST HAVE!!!
LsA swap, muffler delete, lowering, new rims.... amurica. Fuck yeah, nailed it.
Beautiful truck!
Sure is, very nice!
+Joseph Guyger r u stupid u responded to urself
+Wade McKenney I think he thought it was someone else- the comments are the three months apart ;P
Kyle, you should do a video on a 2015 Silverado, with a front bench seat and a 4.3 liter V6, just to see what that's like.
Kevin Woodard Wouldn't mind seeing the base model
Yes trucks maybe a series hopfully
I do miss the truck I drove when I was a trucker in Sweden. It was a dual cab Silverado almost like the one you showing in the video, and no passenger seat and a bed in the back of the cab where the backseat should be.
Can you do a review on the 1967 Shelby GT500 (Eleanor) please? :) its such a beautiful car...
Very nice truck. The Z71 LTZ is pretty fancy!
maxxtruck9906 - The all-new Ford F150 looks 3x better.
Kool Acclaimed™ The F-150 is ugly as shit compared to this. Looks are all personal opinions.
Thank you.
Blubber Ducky - the feeling is mutual, and you're right, we all have our own opinion. And you're welcome.
Its good to see one without the excess chrome, especially the grille.
jasoniman76 Agreed, I'm a big fan of this look, well worth the cost of the package.
+Saabkyle04 and Abdullah 2015 Chevrolet
+Saabkyle04 and Abdullah 2015 Chevrolet LTZ
I wish my truck had the color matching , beats all the chrome but I love the 6.2 , it out performs my 06 2500hd in every battle except weight
NICE 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (6.2L/8spd) Z71 LTZ Crew Start Up, Road Test, and In Depth Review
I would like to see a review of the new 2019 Chevy Silverado high country
love love love this truck, but I am not a fan of the dash. I dig the gauges but the dash itself looks funny to me. no hate on chevy
That is a beautiful truck
I still like the round shaped fender wells than the square. I was surprised that since this was the top of line trim it didn't have push button start.
dvddmc None of GM's trucks have push button. The full size SUVs do though
That's interesting. your paying about the same money wouldn't think it would be much different to put on in a truck.
***** correct me if im wrong but I don't think Ford Trucks have push button start either
HardcoreHockey some of the newer models like the new F-150 Platinum or Ecoboost has push button start
I'm looking to buy the 2015 Chevy Silverado.
This pickup truck is very nice.
Hey Kyle, Did you get your hands on the new F-150 yet? I'd love to see a review of it!
Random question but at 12:41 why not just walk straight over and open the hood instead of walking behind the camera and then opening it?
Great review bro!
Exhaust would definitely be the first thing I did to this truck
That is one badass sounding truck
+Saabkyle04 really nice review, hope you have the chance to make the review of the GMC Yukon Denali !!
Best review ever!!
