It's unbelievable how cars in America make a noise every time you do anything: when you open the door, when you put the key in the ignition, when you turn on the ignition, when you turn on the engine, when you turn on the lights, when you put it in gear, when you put it in reverse, when your breathe in, when you breathe out. I mean in Europe it sounds when you don't have your seatbelt and when you open the door after turning the car off if your lights are still on. It feels like it's enough... :D I love your videos! Always very interesting and really specific. Love it.
I couldnt agree more. I'm losing interest in cars as they are really just useful for driving yourself and friends to the beach and the club as the now a day commercials portray.
I like the column shifter, it allows for more space in the center console unlike those console shifters you see on almost every car and pickup truck nowadays!
I just test drove the Silverado 2500 duramax and then the ram 2500 cummins and I thought I would like the ram better but the transmission was much smoother in the Silverado. Didn't notice the difference in power.
I most be honest it has been a long time since I watched one of your videos, but it's so refreshing and great always keep up the good work. Thank god the gear shift is up on the wheel... Alls needs now is a bench seat to cuddle your misses while driving now that's a real truck... I got a z71 and hates the center console
Kyle I have been watching your channel for years, you are absolutely amazing with your reviews. Just a request, can you do a review on another older duramax? I ask only because most of the reviews you did of the old ones were windy and not so good quality, all of your new videos are nice quiet and smooth flowing. Thank you.
You guys are just jelouse because your not him you guys should respect that he takes the time to review a car so you guys can learn and you think it's funny to make fun of him then you know nothing about jokes
Beautiful truck. As for the shifter, I would rather have a big bulky shifter on the steering column than the electric type wheel shifter that Ram is using on their light duty pickups ( I believe the 2500 and 3500 have the normal shifter). I think it's all about preference though.
Could you do a video on the 2014 tundra limited,SR,or SR5.were going to get on in the near future but would like to see a tour of the truck before we do. Thank you very much and keep up the good videos!
Damn that truck is sweet!!! Nothing on the market that compares to the reputation the Duramax Diesel has achieved for reliability and pulling potential.
Chevys had same diesel since 2000 or so. How many different engines has ford been thru? Cummins is a diff story thats a proven engine just like the dmax. But gm has the allison 1000. That blows away any trans on the market
Daniel George Allison do make some boss trannies, and they are internationally renowned. Oshkosh puts them in their HET's, and those things can weigh like 150 tons loaded up, very few manufacturers can build an auto for that kind of weight/abuse.
Nobody called for dodge and ford fanboys this is a review not to trash talk how bad something is when its not i mean were not riding horses be greatful!
after reading some of these comments, I realize there is a lot of lazy people. Who cares about a push button start? what if the electronics in the ignition fail? i mean is turning a key all that hard?
As someone who drives European trucks, I'm surprised at how much horsepower US spec diesels have. Full loaded this truck has like 25bhp per ton whereas a conventional Euro cargo truck has like 16bhp on the powerful models, down to a minimum of 10bhp per ton. Torque numbers are around the same, but for me that kind of horsepower is still ridiculous on a commercial work truck.
It actually is designed to work as if you were starting it from inside. It preheats the engine with the glow plugs first then it starts. There's a video somewhere on youtube of a guy who owns a brand new Ram heavy duty with a Cummins and lives in an extremely cold area. He forgot to plug the truck in overnight and it was about -40 degrees out that morning!! He used the remote start to see if it would start and after the horn sounded twice, it preheated for about 20 seconds and much to his surprise, IT STARTED. Look it up, it's really impressive. Although that's probably bad for a diesel. haha
mhtube01 it didnt seem like much of a delay when he hit the remote start.the cummins in ram pick ups havent had glow plugs since 1989. they have what is called a grid heater which is a big diode in the intake tube that heats the air going into the motor
Richard Alvarez Idk why I said glow plugs, just an automatic thought with diesels lol. It wasn't delayed cause he's in North Carolina where it's warmer and the truck had already been run prior to starting it in order to move it to a good filming area. In several of Kyle's videos, the initial start up isn't always a cold start. Some of them are though, more of the high performance cars so you can hear what they sound like starting up cold. If this truck had been sitting, there probably would have been more of a delay to warm it up before it cranked.
I know you don't usually take requests, but do you think you could you do a review of a 1998 emerald metallic green Chevy K1500? That is my dream truck.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid tank.... I think the location is retarded; looks like it was added as an afterthought. "oh shit! we forgot about the DEF tank" "Just throw it under the passenger side, no one will notice." So much for ground clearance with a plastic box dragging along below the truck...
George GMC Sierra Denali OK - so what's making that hood so boxy and high? Is there a huge truck engine under there? I doubt it. It seems for aesthetic purposes only.
Boss Kat Actually a Jeep Commander with over 149k and still rolling. Square, but not too much more of the hood architecture than is needed. And yes, with that ride, I can thread a needle with the thing where most Silverados daren't go.
amazing review; what i don't get is that if the car has remote start, why do you need a key to turn on the car? what if you remote start the car, do you still have to use the key?
yeah the 2010 has the same remote start feature and the only way you can do anything in the truck is to turn the key in, the remote start is mainly used to cool or heat the truck before you drive so you dont have to put the key in and risk getting it stolen haha
What a beautiful truck Chevy and GMC have one of the best trucks on today's market beating Ford and Dodge with the windows rolled up in the new Silverado HD you can't even hear the engine I don't know why any of the Chevy dealerships in the Springfield MO area have received their 2015 HDs but they received thier 2015 Tahoes and Suburbans
I liked diesel due to the sound, but as I discovered recently from driving a newer Ford F-550, newer trucks you can't hear it that much inside kinda makes me sad, but oh well.
Hi! You making great movies, but could you tell prices of cars you talking about in your movies? I mean price of model who is actually reviewing and basic model mrsp price. Thanks ;)
Gorgeous truck. Ive seen on a couple of threads that say that the Chevy Duramax and Ford Powerstroke are limited to a max speed of 95mph.. I was wondering if that was true
I think it's the official 'max speed' limited by some computer. I've been in two trucks that had that limit but we took them both over 95, so something is lying. This only asks the question as to why you need to go 95 to begin with, aside from for fun
It's unbelievable how cars in America make a noise every time you do anything: when you open the door, when you put the key in the ignition, when you turn on the ignition, when you turn on the engine, when you turn on the lights, when you put it in gear, when you put it in reverse, when your breathe in, when you breathe out.

It's amazing how nice modern trucks are, inside and out.
I couldnt agree more. I'm losing interest in cars as they are really just useful for driving yourself and friends to the beach and the club as the now a day commercials portray.

Hopefully you're dedication and hard work for reviewing car's and growing this channel won't be in vain! :)

I just bought one of these, and they are awesome!
I just bought a 2016 nearly identical to that truck. I pick it up 10am tomorrow.... thanks for the review, it helped my decision.
Are you having any vibration issues with your truck around 70 plus mph ?
No, I am not.
MrSymbolic7 maybe body mounts bad? Do you live in a area where snow and road salt is a problem?
Steve C how is it so far??
No doubt it's the best looking truck out of all the new diesels. esp with those rims.
You guys are just jelouse because your not him you guys should respect that he takes the time to review a car so you guys can learn and you think it's funny to make fun of him then you know nothing about jokes
Finally someone that is mature
Haters gonna hate
Same color as mine. Aside from rims and tires, looks almost exactly like mine. Got it today!
Very nice truck! Like the new style interior. Way better than the other ones.. id put a plow on that for sure
Nice video kyle. Every video you make is awesome. Keep it up as always!
Beautiful truck. As for the shifter, I would rather have a big bulky shifter on the steering column than the electric type wheel shifter that Ram is using on their light duty pickups ( I believe the 2500 and 3500 have the normal shifter). I think it's all about preference though.
Yet another amazing review Kyle!
Diesels are the best trucks
True! I'm the person who responded in this video after seven years Lol
amazing video. checy should have paid you for this video. it's better than theirs! look forward to more. been watching a long long time now.
Kyle hope all is well, keep up the good work. Would love to see vw gold R class on your show. Cheers from ny!
Good job reviewing the truck!
Nice video Kyle you should do the 2015 Chevy Tahoe next. Now that's a nice vehicle
U really need to get your own show on tv. You do a good job on describing in your videos.
I am a ford guy by heart but I now have a soft spot for the Silverado
I like these diesel trucks!! Brilliant job bro.
Correction: I'm pretty sure they aren't xenon but halogen projectors. Otherwise, great video!
Did I say Xenon? If I did I was wrong, they are halogen projectors, sorry!
No problem! We aren't perfect!
+Saabkyle04 Most of the time you review a car, there is a phone charging. Is that your phone?
They should be standard on the LTZ and up.
Could you do a video on the 2014 tundra limited,SR,or SR5.were going to get on in the near future but would like to see a tour of the truck before we do. Thank you very much and keep up the good videos!

Except fords engines. They are better. CHEVY ROCKS AND SO DOES FORD!
Nobody called for dodge and ford fanboys this is a review not to trash talk how bad something is when its not i mean were not riding horses be greatful!
What
i want this chevy 2500hd as my first diesel truck
Great video as always, Kyle!! Although, the headlamps are projector beam halogens, not xenons.
after reading some of these comments, I realize there is a lot of lazy people. Who cares about a push button start? what if the electronics in the ignition fail? i mean is turning a key all that hard?
Excellent in-depth review.
I could have sworn i saw you there! I saw someone making weird poses in front of a truck... Haha great video man
can u make a review of the new "Chevy Traverse" thank you :)
Traverse is on ugly Chevy
a perfect diesel engine I have ever seen! ^.^
Very well put together video. Everything i ever wanted to know. Than you!
Man love the truck also I live just down the street from here. Great review buddy
American Trucks have come a long way!! This truck is definitely on my list for next year!! #americanmuscle
I never realize how much better diesel engines are on gas than regular gas power engines!!!
I really enjoyed the video!!! Keep up the good work!!
thx for the vid im considering a 1500 myself so this was good to get a idea of the platform.
Your reviews are the best , please also do one for the 2015 F450 Ford Super Duty with maxed out specs
As someone who drives European trucks, I'm surprised at how much horsepower US spec diesels have. holy crap! hazard button on the column! now that's a blast from the past
Well, there isn't much room anywhere else to put it.
Oh man I'm so ready to go get a 2500hd Denali . Such a clean ass truck .
all it needs is camper mirrors and its a gem
i would love to see how that remote start would work in the dead of winter
It actually is designed to work as if you were starting it from inside. It preheats the engine with the glow plugs first then it starts. Just bought one yesterday!
Nicely done series!
THANK GOD NO PUSH BUTTON START GOOD OLD KEY IN IGNITION
True
Facts
The 2019 has push button start
It depends which trim level. It's optional on the LT but it is standard on upper trim levels.
I know you don't usually take requests, but do you think you could you do a review of a 1998 emerald metallic green Chevy K1500? That is my dream truck.
This 2500HD Duramax Diesel Chevrolet Silverado is from the GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax Diesel platform with 445 horsepower with a 6.6L Turbo Diesel V8.
Excellent Siverado Video Saabkyle04 😊 Diesel Engine
Nice review as usual.
What is the black box below the vehicle at the passenger side?
Diesel Exhaust Fluid tank.... I think the location is retarded; looks like it was added as an afterthought.
"oh shit! we forgot about the DEF tank"
"Just throw it under the passenger side, no one will notice."
So much for ground clearance with a plastic box dragging along below the truck...
Thanks for the info. I didn't know. It looks real interesting there..:)
"oh shit! we forgot about the DEF tank"
"Just throw it under the passenger side, no one will notice."
Nice comment by the way..:D :D :D
Like a rock.
Always
Santiago Jimenez Yup. Just like a rock. Sits on the side of roads and does nothing.
Lol thanks. It's all out of fun for me. ;)
It needs a front end camera to see over that plateau hood when parking the thing.
divisioneight The hood is high because it's an HD truck.
Or a driver that knows how to park.
Nice kyle!!!
now THAT is type of diesel I wanna hear!
amazing review; what i don't get is that if the car has remote start, why do you need a key to turn on the car? what if you remote start the car, do you still have to use the key?

Great review!
Where is the part talking about the 4WD and Trailer Brake? Thanks Kyle
I love the dash
BIG FAN.
Can you do a start up video of either the new 2015 Chevy Tahoe or Suburban? And/or the Gmc Yukon Denali
THAT TRUCK IS SUPER REALEY SUPER AWESOME
I like the change of trucks
So that's how the future looks like.
Good Job
Really impressed now I now a lot about it
thanks
The International CV is based on the same platform as the Chevy Silverado from the 4500-6500.
Can you do the review the passenger express (any generation) with yellow exterior, neutral interior, & 6.6L duramax diesel V8?
why did you use a different silverado for the back seat portion? or is that another clip from the 1500 version?
Do 2015 tahoe next!
I love the sound of a turbo diesel. :-D
Nice review!
Kyle, any chance you could possibly do a review on the F12 Ferrari Berlineta??
What a beautiful truck Chevy and GMC have one of the best trucks on today's market beating Ford and Dodge with the windows rolled up in the new Silverado HD you can't even hear the engine I don't know why any of the Chevy dealerships in the Springfield MO area have received their 2015 HDs but they received thier 2015 Tahoes and Suburbans
definitely not the most sophisticated sounding vehicle, but it has its market
Will the HD's have a 'High Country' trim?
you should do a test drive of this truck 2015 Silverado hd2500
I have one
May you do a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S if you can find one and also if you want to?
Truck looks good in white.
Hey Kyle, can you do video on a 3500HD Dually
This is my dream truck
The headlights are not Xenons, as you stated they are, but I wish they were though.
Awesome black interior...
I liked diesel due to the sound, but as I discovered recently from driving a newer Ford F-550, newer trucks you can't hear it that much inside kinda makes me sad, but oh well.
hey kyle! would love to see a review of the 2015 Gmc sierra denali
The HD transmission that goes with the 6.0 Vortec is a gm HD transmission , not the 1500 transmission
Best truck around. I will take a crew cab red one.
2015 f150 would be my choice! Beautiful chevy/gmc tho but ill have to go with the new f150:)
Hey saabkyle can you do a review of the ram 1500
Please try reviewing the 2013 or 2014 Ram 2500 Laramie!
how do you get the black grille shown in this video on a 2015 silverado 2500hd?
The headlights are not xenon. They're HIR halogens. Just FYI.
What's that box looking thing underneath the truck at 26:30 towards the front passenger tire? It seems really low to the ground and stands out imo
Diesel exhaust fluid tank, used for emissions
Alright thanks dude, I was thinking that but wasn't entirely sure
i like to see Ford F-150 2015
star up and exhaust, and depth review pleases SK 04
Hi! You making great movies, but could you tell prices of cars you talking about in your movies? I mean price of model who is actually reviewing and basic model mrsp price. Thanks ;)

Could you possibly do a review on a Jeep Rubicon?
Can you do the 2015 taho or denali?
How come when you start the truck, you need to wait for the glow plugs, but not in the remote start?
Hmmm... I wondered the same.
