    I saw a 1996 Surburban 5.3 hauling next to one of these and the Surburban wasn't really struggling compared to the silverado, but they're both really good trucks.

    • @KidJaeProductions
      @KidJaeProductions 7 лет назад

      5.3? or 5.7?

    • @lyman135
      @lyman135 3 года назад

      A 1996 Suburban would have a 5.7 or 5.0. The 5.3 didn't come out till the 2000 model year in Suburban. And they were at least 100 less horsepower compared to these. The 350 (5.7) was only 255hp and these (5.3s) are 355 and have more torque. A 5.3 would not be struggling compared to a 96 suburban.

    I have a question regarding my 2012 selverado, in the 4*4 knob (yes U can laugh because its not a lever *Sigh*) I can see these numbers in the fallowing order: 2H, 4H, N, 4L what does the N stand for? is it the same as the one in the gear box were U put it in Neutral to wait for the traffic light or what?

    • @sealtite904
      @sealtite904 10 лет назад

      Yes the N is for neutral. The transfer case must enter neutral before going into 4 low

    • @MyGTisxHUNTER07x
      @MyGTisxHUNTER07x 10 лет назад

      sealtite904 Should I leave it in N until the light stops blinking or just skip it fast.

    • @sealtite904
      @sealtite904 10 лет назад

      NO doing that disengages the drive train and if you have the transfer case in neutral, and you put the truck in drive it won't go anywhere haha. There is no need for that! 😋

    • @sealtite904
      @sealtite904 10 лет назад

      Always leave it in 2h when on the road. No need to mess with it unless you want to use 4x4

    • @MyGTisxHUNTER07x
      @MyGTisxHUNTER07x 10 лет назад

      sealtite904 I know that but what in the dang is the N for? I have no Idea but when I red the manual it says that "When U put the knob to N the parking brakes are not enough to stop the truck and U should shift the transmission to P in order to eliminate unwanted Track movement/ Rollovers ."

    Undeniably, it's a pickup truck. But when you think about the finer details, in my opinion, this is probably the best new truck out there. What it lacks in personality, it more than makes up for with new technology, more power, and better fuel economy, as opposed to its predecessors. If they make a version with body-colored accents, I might just have to get one :) Thanks for the review Kyle, as always.

    Just a comparison, this big truck does around 15 mpgs and you can load it up to a ton, has 340 lb-ft, and gets from 0 to 60 in 9 seconds. On a VW with only 4 cylinders, you can also load a ton, have 295 lb-ft, get a fuel consumption of 32mpgs, and the 0-60 time of 9,5 seconds, and its only a 2.0 diesel engine.

    I Love the 14 Silverado, I want one with the Z71 package on it but my only problem with it is the rear spring system. General Motors needs too stop using leaf springs and start using coil for the rear of the trucks. They need too have the same suspension system set up as the Suburban putting a heavy duty multi-link suspension system in the rear.

    I'll admit, even as an F-150 owner, the new Silverado/Sierra set of trucks are very impressive, even making me think of getting a Silverado in the future. Only downside: the price of these new trucks, but what brand new truck isn't well in the $30-40 thousands? Probably for the best to wait anyways since a) I can't afford a new truck and b) first new model years always have bugs they need worked out.

    For the price, I would have wanted to see rear air. My 2006 F-150 Lariat had rear air and that was 7 years ago. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, and it really isn't until you go on long trips. In order for the rear passengers to be comfortable, the front passengers have to go skinny dipping in Antarctica. I recently went on a 2000 mile road trip in my 2013 Toyota Tacoma. For $32,000, everyone should be comfortable in any climate.

    If you can get a hold of an Audi a5 or an Audi a5 coupe, could you please do a review on one of those. The inside is very confusing to me!!!

    Love the new Silverado. I would probably go for the Sierra though because I would like the LED DRLs

    That's funny because I have a 2002 Impala with over 250,000 miles on it. The only things I've ever replaced on it was the radio and the passenger door handle.
    Hell, I have a friend with an old Geo Metro from the early 90's that needed a new belt, but that's it. I've had nothing but good experiences with all the cars made by GM that I've driven one time or another. The number is over 15 but under 25.

    Kyle,
    Are you planning to do the video about Mercedes A class or the C class (AMG of course)?

    Was there any changes to the Tahoe or suburban when they redesigned the silverado since they have the same body platform

    Yea I just bought a LTZ Z71, picking it up in a few hours, and I wish there was a push button start option. Not a huge deal tho.
