Welcome to my channel! I am a total car nut and decided to film some of my automotive exploits and post them here. On my channel I will be posting videos of all of my automotive interests, which for the most part are classic cars, car reviews, detailing videos, and auto repair and maintenence. Water pump troubles on the 78 ElDorado...
Awful
Where you located
How much
The spark is not a cheap car. It's only inexpensive. Made in South Korea has some of the best Machinist in the world. Why did GM buy them?
the Spark is the best small car ever made for small people like in South Korea. My only complaint is the suspension is very stiff unlike a Renault Le Car. You can take one or both back seats out. It's a shame the car is no longer in production. It's a rally car without steroids and fun to drive.
Own a 2010 impala, Got it at 120k miles, has 190, Even tho it don't get the maintenance it very much deserves (my first car and I now own 4 and perfer my 90s hondas with 5 speed) it has never left me stranded, very reliable, in 2019 my cats were stolen, and when I pulled it out of storage I noticed my exhaust was hanging low scraping, went ahead and took it off, I get terrible mileage now roughly 15 city 20 highway, but it's reliable as can be, gonna keep this car forever its just a base model LT but it's legit the perfect first car and perfect daily for the prices they go for, As someone who has a impala 06-16 I really admire the 2013-16 limited ones, I feel those are Modernized and are amazing vehicles if you get a top trim model, definitely want to get another one that year and LTZ, I also want a column shift model as I hate the shifter in the middle, but over all this is a amazing car I give it 8/10 she's never let me down, and she puts down her power fairly nice for what she is, definitely a great car.
What I liked about this particular van is the black paint surround around the windows. Really sharp. I purchased the same van in 1996 for $7,800. It had 88,000 miles on it but rather than that fancy paint job, it had the fake wood, which did a really good job of covering up the rust. Drove it for 20 years, finally selling it for $950 when it reached 235,000 miles. Probably the best vehicle I ever owned. Did go through a transaxle though. Never had the engine apart. Plenty of power. This 1992 model was the first minivan to include an air bag. Now you can't buy one without 10 of them! I cut a standard 1/2" piece of plywood into 4 equal pieces and then I connected the pieces with hinges. The whole thing folded up behind the rear seat when not in use as there's exactly 2' of space back there. Really saved the carpet, especially when laid out into a 4' x 8' floor.
Hi great video. But can you tell me the size thread and length of the bolts you had to purchase for the first part of the hub. I have the same problem and the same hubs.
Me as iraqi , first when i saw the gmt400 in baghdad in the 90' was so in love with it and then became so papular for long distance taxis abroad bca the west banded our airplanes and the whole sanctions stuff , so suburbans were our airplanes to other countries, after that when this cameout gmt800 and till now i see it the most beautiful one even better look than the new ones ❤ ,now i am 40 years old and i have few years old beautiful bmw and still have appointment tomorrow to go buy a beautiful Tahoe 2001 i am so excited cus it's my teenage love car
The vehicle in in Chicago, that's why it's rusted. If it were down south, it would be in perfect condition..
Big boy 4 four hundred bucks, you shouldn't complain , you have something very special
3 years later, still helping people. Thanks a lot, I was tearing my hair out over this. Window sorted
I bought a used 2021 automatic Spark for mom, as she traded down from a large Nissan Rogue. She like how it drives, and doesn't feel like she is navigating a truck down the road, and finds the parking so much easier. She is a small lady, so the Spark is actually large enough for her, and the all-around visibility (more window space than the Roque).
New videos whe?
Glad yours is in good condition. The POS my girlfriend bought for $4,000 has cost us $5,000 in repairs so far. 3 fuel pumps, new starter, and a new junction box. Chevrolet refuses to do a recall on the fuel pump and connector or junction box even though it's a consistent problem on this model!😤 The fact the transmission is a closed circuit and you can't check the fluid levels is just crazy!!!!
Mike, how long did the color hold?
Getting a 77 eldo back on the road, a blue Biarritz ! It started with flush the coolant, scale in the radiator led to change the radiator since it was leaking, and twist off one trans cooler line due to rust, while working on that, the power steering cooling line rusted through at the support, fixed that (don't get stainless, it is not bent properly and your brakes and steering will howl), while doing that, noticed a new drip, from the water pump. such as it is with a car that sat 22 years.
I want one
Yo tengo una 2001 XLT 3.0 4x4, asientos de cuero (intactos), sunroof, nada de óxido y ya cumplió más de 160.000 millas.
My sister used to have a 2002 Ford Escape in black. I just don’t remembered the trim level was. I used to have a 2015 Ford Escape SE in silver grey. I got it in late March 2017-mid March 2022. It died on me with an oil leak. Now I drive a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black since mid March 2022. When I got it and everything was new to me.
Now *THIS* is a true minivan. Very beautiful, but very rare. You don't see too many of these vans anymore. The last time I've seen one of these that was identical to this one was in Northridge, California back in July of 2015. Sadly, it was in real bad shape. The van was pretty beat up and not only was the van sitting for a long period of time, but it also looked like a homeless person lived in it. Plus, it was parked under a big tree. In about a year or two later, the van was gone for obviously reasons. I don't know if this one is still around in 2024, but it's so good to see one of these again.
I own the 2013 LTZ, it has 95K miles on it, i did have to change the fuel pump and alternator recently that seemed a bit premature? No transmission issues but the biggest complaint I have is the AC actuator motors, they start clicking and to replace is about $200, three have gone out so far. Overall it’s a smooth riding cruiser and with today’s car prices I plan to hold on to it until the wheels fall off.
For sure, 315hp? Do not the LM7, then?
What size cap screws did you use? 5mm x 30mm?
Who did you get them from?
You know with today's vehicles with dashes that have screens that look glued on and weird lines and shapes ...this dash-albeit simple/functional-is quite refreshing. I would trade my Ford Transit Connect in a heartbeat for a late '80s or early '90s Caravan panel (in good condition of course).
If you really cared about it you would switch over to Callahan parts....just sating
LOVE the Solara!! I've got an '08 white SLE convertible!
I like this gen Escape, a lot. I'd drive this in a heart beat. You have an XLS V6 auto with convenience package, which is interesting, as most had the 2.0 liter and 5 speed manual. That XLS you have there was renamed XLS Choice in 2002.
these are great little SUV's.
I have a 65 with a nicely built 302 in it right now. However, I still miss my original 66 with a 206 Ellender that I had back in the early 90s.
Beautiful car. I have the same in gray. 215k miles.
Inheritied one of these from an elderly driver, 2012. Has 56K on it and I always drive my cars until they fall apart. Did you drive it relatively easy to get to 215K?
@@IronMikeSharpe-st2mnthe 2.4l i4 motor isn’t bad, just change the oil and don’t drive it like a sports car and it will last. I would be worried about the transmission going out first
@@IronMikeSharpe-st2mnthats my other account you replied to. I bough at 160k. For someone still thinking about buying this car, buy it for less. It’s not worth a lot of money. Check the engine oil level regularly and keep an eye on the coolant reservoir level. Fill up when they both go low. Add lucas additive during oil change. Will stop engine oil burns. I also used head gasket sealer and never had low coolant level after that. Do not drive this car like a racing car. Revv slowly and drive like an expensive luxury car. Slow and smooth. It will last you alot alot alot longer. Remove drL fuse. Causes headlights to blowout too soon. After removing this fuse, I don’t have headlights issues. Change with the led ones. Better reliability. Use less power. Steering light comes on sometimes. I feel it’s more electrical issue than mechanical issue. tends to fail on this car but check electrical connections first.
Молодец, единственный кто показал установку.
Had a 1991 Cadillac sedan Deville with the 4.9 litre it was a good car put about 107,000 miles on it with not a problem the later Northstar models had more power but also more problems
36000 miles!😍
Beautiful color
2.4 all have timing chain stretch issues @ 100000 miles I would change it for that is an interference engine
Still driving my 2001 xlt escape ...still looks and drives great. One small spot of wheel well rust which at a dime size, i intend to stop and fix myself. I do 90+% of my own work on it and as of now it has 135k miles. Some coils and plugs Thermostat A new radiator Besides that, regular maintenance has made it last. Excellent suv and ill drive it til either me or it dies lol
Is it the 4.9 PFI V8?
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
At the beginning you call it a Malibu, and you wrap it up calling it a Malibu..and you tell us Chevy makes good cars, but to watch out for the 3.6..which is the engine in the IMPALA you are driving !! And it's not an LT1.. it's an LT. So, no, I did NOT enjoy your low IQ video.
Hi Mike, thank you, this video was very helpful. :) How has the repair held up over time please?
Mine worked fine until this week, so the repair lasted 3.5 years
I bought a 2012 Impala 9C1 PPV last month and I've never enjoyed a car quite like I do this one.
I HAD A 90 DEVILLE 4 DOOR ONLY PROBLEM ITS VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR
I bought a used 2018 this past summer good quality nice to pull with my Rav 4
Take your big coat off stupid.
IS THERE A SPEAKER IN THE BACK SEAT GRILL? WHAT SIZE IS IT? IM RESTORING A 68 GP. ITS MY BABY
Just want to say I'm very very happy with my 2016 Impala LTZ Limited that I had purchased in 2017 that replace my 1998 Monte Carlo that had 378000 Mi on it due to tranny problems
I...want....one. Had a 2013 and loved it.
You are a wee bit paranoid on the 3.6. It has been proven time and again that this issue stems from lack of service. Change the oil!
Excellent car. Only 37k.
