The low increase consum from 100 to 120 km/h (only 0,3 l/100) is surprising. Nice engine sound and interior and good performances. This car is derived from Insignia? Good test!!!!
No, the Malibu has been manufactured since 1964, this being its eighth generation. Of course, since Opel/Vauxhall/Buick and Chevrolet are owned by GM, they share a platform (Epsilon II), mechanics (depending on the market) and components, with the Insignia/Regal (G09).
Thanks for posting! There's not many videos on YT of the EU Malibu. What are your overall impressions of the car? Is the build quality good? How's the ride, handling etc?
Thank you for nice comment. Yes malibu is rare in europe. I was satisfied with this car. Build quality is ok like other normal cars, ride is comfy, handling is good in corner with good summer tyres. But 167 ps is bit weak for high speed traffic like german autobahn. Its good for cruise like 100-140 kmh and fuel consumption from 6.5 slow ride autobahn to 10 liter city traffic, mostly average 7.5-8.5 liter. I am selling this one like in video in next month july.
Hi, what kind of LED daylights you use ? Could you send me some link ? I have EU malibu as well and I bought LED lights but there is wrong code on dashboard display every time as I turn on engine.
i dont know the exact product name, i was at Car LED company in switzerland and they have lots LED products, they did suggest such led products and install it at my car, it wasnt cheap products, it was high quality products
acceptable consumption up to 140-160 kmh considering it is (oldie) 2,4 liter 167 hp petrol car with shitty 6 speed automatic gearshift !! infact consumption on those lower speeds are on the level of some new BMW and mercedes, audi,Volvo vehicles or even better then some of them
Hi brother! How do you? I know this car is outdated, but I really like the 8th generation Malibu. I had a white 2013 with 24,000 km. Sold not long ago. And now I regret, I should not have sold 🥴. How do you think? Is it a good car or not? What car would you recommend 🤗
i love malibu aswell but it should get better engine like 200 HP and better more comfort suspension then it would be perfect malibu :) maybe you can get impala, this is much better i think, i drove it long time ago

In europe and rest of world called 2012 because it built in year 2012 = 2012, in US they called 2013. I dont understand why callef 2013 even it production built is in 2012
I know, in europe here called 2012 because its producted in year 2012 :) in US is mostly additional +1 year. Like today producted car they called 2025 even its 2024 now
