Spring/Gravity Fed Off Grid Water System

A brief overview of our off grid water system which utilizes a spring, a hill, a barrel, and some plumbing. This is a crude system which I’ll be revising/improving over time, however, it’s been a real game changer for our cabin.
For context, the cabin we purchased has a septic system in place, but no running water. We previously had to fill buckets and manually fill the toilet reservoir. We’ve since added a bathtub and the addition of running water has been a welcome improvement.

That’s definitely been on my mind! Even if it was just enough for some supplementary power for lighting.
