Pretty emotional. At the moment I feel like I'm losing good friends. But I don't lose anything, I gain new adventures. And guys, Tokyo is amazing. It is the most vibrant city in the world. I think it's going to be an incredibly good time.
Awww so much love to you! We feel it too & love your perspective! There's a lot to learn about the world and we are excited to dive into Japan! We absolutely can't wait to share the adventures with you. HUGE THANKS! xxxx
Guys, I've been following you from your very first steps in Germany and WHOA, this video really got me... Loved seeing my country through your eyes and looking forward to now getting a glimpse into life in Japan! All the best!
My wife and continue watching now for a couple years, breaks our heart watching your family move from Germany. Safe travels , may God bless everything you do.
Willa will grow her horizon so much and she will became a very cosmopolitan human being! She mide will loose her German friends and be a little sad but she will gain new beautiful Japanese friends! Willa is doing fine I am positive! Always look on the bright side of life!🥰🙏
The Japanese society differs a lot from the German and the expected social behaviours are really really different from how an American would behave normally. It is - in general - for foreigners not easy to integrate in Japan. I hope she does well. She just seem to feel so happy currently. @@Kikifriedmann
@@itsworkinprogressI am sure you are right! But still life is always changing and some moments will be difficult and sad and some moments will be happy and joyfull. I believe Willa is a happy Girl because the parents love her very much. You can move forward and evolve in life or you can stand still and don't evolve. What would you choose? And I have a very strong feeling Willa will not break because of moving to Japan! Sometimes adulds project there own fears onto their children! Is all about fear!
Awww so many hugs sent your way! It is a lot. We feel so lucky to have experienced such a beautiful life in Germany! The memories will always be like treasure to us!
It’s so nice to see that all the kids in the KiTa were able to say goodbye to Willa. Unfortunately it’s not the same in every KiTa in Germany. We had a friend of my son leaving almost without a warning and two friends of my daughter just moved with out a fare well. And she just realized it weeks after wards her best friend has moved and won’t come back when she started crying over him all over again sudden.
Guys! What are you doing? You just left me weeping in front of my laptop... I already felt quite emotional during the St. Martins footage, not knowing what was yet to come... It's been 3 wonderful years following your adventures in Germany and Europe. Many of your vlogs have brought back memories to places I fell in love with back when I still was a child. Many vlogs have introduced me to places I have never been before but really wanna go now. So you truly inspired me. Also, there have been many videos that made me look onto my country through your eyes, videos that made me cherish things I always took for granted. And for this I thank you Risa and Tanner, from the bottom of my heart. Wishing you and your little ones all the best and looking forward to watch you exploring Japan. x
Okay crying now!! This comment. HUGS!! Thank you so much for the love! It means a lot that you've found inspiration through our videos, as well as rekindled fond memories. We can't wait to share more of the world with you soon! Stay tuned xxx
As my heart is in Germanic Europe, I will miss sharing in your adventures there. Thanks so much for ALL the places you took us. Looking forward to watching your adventures in Japan, my son in law will be stationed there in the spring so there’s another link! Explore and enjoy the world, my friends!
Prayers for your beautiful family and your move. I cried along with you as Willa said goodbye to her friends. Thanks for sharing with the world how wonderful Germany and the German people are.❤
You guys. Saying goodbye is a hard thing to do. I have been following you since you've came to Germany. I have loved, see Willa growing and I have watched your lovely 2nd daughter beeing born by you, incredible Rissa. It will take just a little time until you will fully adjust to a life in Japan. Thinking of you. Lots of love and good wishes! ❤❤❤
How time flies. Followed you since you announced to move to Germany. So many memories. As lucky I am for you to follow your dreams of travelling as sorry I am especially for Willa. For her it will be hardest time to move on in the age where you just made true friends at KITA and alike.
Wow, I've teared up when Tanner spoke in German. It's hard to leave your current life behind for something new, and this is your second time in three years! I saw on IG that you've taken the plane to Japan, hope everything went smoothly.. Here's to making new friends, acquaintances, memories.
Sending you lots of hugs and warm thoughts. I hope you arrived well in Japan and that settling in is a positive experience. Can´t wait to hear all about your new life in Tokyo! And, this is not good bye, this is definitely auf Wiedersehen!
Not me balling because I know the feeling of moving and how hard it is to say goodbye. But you will cherish this time for the rest of your life’s and one day you’ll be back with even more beautiful memories and experiences ❤
I loved seeing my homecountry through your eyes. As many here have written, it has been very much like following friends around. Now i‘m even more excited about your reports of Japan, a place that‘s very high on my list of places i want to visit, but that appears like whole other world. Wishing you all the best. Germany is waiting for you to come back - and maybe giving you a permanent home.
Aww we love that you're excited for the next adventures in Japan! We can't wait to show them to you! Thanks for all the support and love throughout our time. :) HUGS!
Und dann halt aus dem Land. Ihr macht das so gut ❤❤ .Ihr seid so eine magische Familie .Und ich wünsche schöneweinacht egal wo ihr seit . Sorry auf Deutsch Besinlige Weinachten ❤
You are an american-german family now. Come back whenever you want. We need you here! From now on enjoy your new experiences in Japan. It will be different but definetely an experience you won't want to miss in life. I'm looking forward to go on a journey with you about the wonders of living in Japan. Farewell!
That was emotional! Thank you for your many videos about experiencing Germany any european countries. Have a nice trip to your new home base! I'm excited about your story in Japan.
Awwww, I couldn't help but get choked up with tears for you guys. I will miss seeing all of your adventures in Germany, but I'm excited to see what God has for you in Japan. I'm praying for many blessings as you adventure out!
I found your channel when you guys were moving to Germany, my home, and I was moving to Washington State in the US. Time flies and we are also about to move again or hopefully can stay here longer. Thank you for embarrassing german culture and habits and for loving my country. I wish you all the best! Anni
😢 I've feel like we got to know you like family. We have loved your adventures and trips to all the European countries. This was so hard to watch without crying, oh man....we are losing a piece of our family. Willa grew up here and will miss it To you and your two young girls, God bless, and may God protect you in your travels and be with you always. I'm sad you are leaving 😢 but look forward to your next video ❤ Auf Wiedersehen 😭
Okay this comment has us emotional!! We love you guys! Thanks so much for the continued support and love. Gosh we feel so lucky to have experienced such a beautiful life in Germany!
The videos we keep coming! We will be taking a two week break around Christmas, but then we are back on with Japan videos! Thanks for the support and well wishes! 😊🫶
All the best for the move. I also moved to Germany 2 years ago, now living in Austria. So have been following you for trip ideas and just to learn, while you learn. We will miss you!!
@OurStorytoTell lived in Mulheim (Ruhr) in NRW and now I am in Graz in Styria and I'm originally from South Africa. So I watched a lot of expat channels to learn with them and that's how I came across your channel, so have been following you since you first came over!
Good bye then my lovelies. I wish you all the best in Japan. Soon we all will be just memories of your time in germany. But its okay, thats how life goes. Stay healthy and i hope your dreams come true. 🙋♀️
Yes, an emotional good-bye from me as well! At first I couldn't believe that you are going to leave Germany - and I am sure many of us will truly miss you! It was a real joy following such a lovely family's adventures and experiences! I wish you all the very best in Japan, stay healthy - and may you get accustomed to the country soon! Bye bye and Servus!
Thank you our friend!! It means a lot. Be sure to know that we will never forget our time in Germany!! They are our treasured memories and always be! We will be back again someday. xxx
I will miss you! I wish you all the best for your new life (so far away) in Japan. Hope you will enjoy another lifestyle as much as you seemed to love our lifestyle in Germany. Please, come back soon!
... and we love you too ! It's been great watching you experiencing our country and living in our country and in Europe. With best wishes for you - all time good luck and good experiences !
man.. didnt know that this could be so difficult to watch. i caught attention to your videos pretty soon after you guys moved to germany - i think my youtube search was something like "americans try german food" - and although we never met or had contact in any way besides a few youtube comments sprinkled in here and there, that video really messed around with my emotions. i really hope that all the bavarian (and pretty much everyone else in general) left a good impression on you and germany treated you well. i am lookin forward to how your journey is going to continue in japan and i wish you the best when it comes to adjusting to yet another culture, language and different society. even that next weeks video teaser kinda breaks my heart.
Awww yes next week's video is also emotional! We feel so lucky to have experienced such a beautiful life in Germany. Thank you for the continued support! It means so much. xxx
Feels like it's been just some weeks when you gave us a house tour in your new home... So now no more realistic chance to stumble into you somewhere in the Nürnberg/Bayreuth area. 😉 All the best for your next episode of live and adventure.
Such a wonderful video! I have followed your time in Germany since the beginning and loved all your adventures, so many trips, so many beautiful places you visited, watching Willa start Kita and Noa's birth. I'm from Nuremberg and of course a lot of the culture was very familiar to me. Your new move to Japan is going to be so interesting to me and I will follow your time there and hope you'll have an amazing time there! I know how it feels to say good bye and start new. It was very emotional to watch you go through that! It brought back some memories for me! Good luck and have a safe trip!🥰😍✈
Aww hello to you in Nuremberg! A city we feel like we know so well! 🫶 We frequented it during Risa’s pregnancy! Thanks so much for your support and love!
❤ thanks for sharing your adventures in Germany and Europe with us - you saw a lot during your time here. I hope Willa can save some memories and words. Have a save trip to Japan and enjoy your time with your sweet little girls wherever you are - that's the most important time of your live together ! I am sure you will miss that nice German house and garden with that nice view 😢 All the best from Böblingen ❤
❤ my heart goes out to y'all as you move. What beautiful tender memories have been shared through this media. Blessings on your new adventures. I'm waiting to see what happens next in your life... Hugs from Texas❤

Big hugs once again for you! It was so nice to have you here in Germany! We hope, you will really come back one day! Have a great time in Japan now! Liebe Grüße!
Ok so I'll add another comment!😊 We too have been watching for 3 yrs since we arrived in 2018. We are now retired and will be staying here as long as possible even though we don't know German! (Its not required). So i don't have kids(but grandkids) and i was crying like Willa was my grand daughter! Then the good bye hugs and Tanner saying bye in German! Im a wreck😭. I'm German by both sides of my family, so this feels like home deep in my soul. I'm hoping in 2025 we can stay longer and longer! You are always welcome to visit the same area (a little more south), our house is open. One Army family!Whoa! Noa looks like Willa as I was watching a couple older videos. We wish you all be best and honestly pray thst you are safe, healthy and prosperous!🙏 I love Tokyo, we went TDY for 1 week @10 yrs ago and i fell in love with it! We did so much! Reach out if you want to see or know. I still tell people its the best! Wait until you hear how peaceful it is! We whispered all the time!More than here! April will blow your mind at the HUGE garden💐🏵️🌺🌷🪻, forgot name, but have pics. I would love to see it again! Oh be CAREFUL with the REAL POTENT GREEN TEA! Research. Ok, enough!💖🧳✈️🪅🎎🎇🍜🍢🍡🥠🫖🍶🚲🤗 Merry Christmas!
You'll be missed in Germany! I am glad you had such good experiences here. All the best for your future adventures wherever you go! - oh, and "Rabimmel Rabammel Rabumm" really brought back childhood memories 😅❤
It's really sad that you are leaving Germany but I am sure you will come back one day. All the best to you in Japan. Looking forward to your upcoming adventures in Tokyo an all arround Japan and Asia.
For me it's very sad that you leaving us. I wish you all the best. Have a great time out there in the world. And i'm sure, you will come back to us one day. ❤❤❤
Aww it is emotional! We feel so lucky to have experienced Germany in such a beautiful way! Thank you for the support and we will definitely be back someday!
Fuck...I actually started crying like a little child. Have a nice Christmas, a relaxing move to Japan and a great New Year All the best for the future, good health and no negative irritations to you euer lieber Terrorclown
It’s so sad that you keep moving every few years, especially for the children. 😢 but I envy you for your adventures. My husband doesn’t want to move. Big hugs to Japan.
Willa doesn’t remember the first move so this really is her first “move” to her, but we will see what the future entails. Maybe someday you guys can visit there?
Such a sad video. I was almost in tears as Willa pulled the front door to for the last time. But onwards and upwards! You will now have been in Japan for a few days and the next days are going to be challenging for all the family. Even Noa will realise that something's different suddenly. While you were still in Germany, did you plan how you would spend the first few weeks in Japan? Have a schedule ready for Willa's schooling, whether to cook or eat out, where to buy stuff like a new TV? How long before Tanner's first day in his new job? Then I have questions about whether you will be buying or leasing a car and if so how do you feel about driving on the left? No pressure, but perhaps we will see the first video from Japan within the next couple of weeks?
Aww the Fare well from het Kindergarten was just so so sweet 💕 sorry to hear Willa and Noah have had bad ear infection hope the flight went ok Noah recovering 🙏 Tanner with tonsillitis hope he feeling much beter very soon 🙏.there a flu going round with laryngitis . I had to cancel my Birthday celebrating yesterday due to so many are sick , Hope your slowly settling finding your way around your home in japan wishing you all The very Best for 2024 🥂🍾🎉 Exciting times head Take care 🥰
Hi Noa, Willa, Risa and Tanner. Well, such an emotional video. I would like to say Auf Wiedersehen rather than tschüss(guess you know the tiny difference). Wow, so much stuff to move which really needs to have a very good organizational talent. Tough work. I assume you also took the chance to get rid of something may be donating it. Are you sure all stuff will fit into your new house in Japan ? Yeeeah, Willa can now ride a push bike. Awesome. I am sure she loves it. I was convinced ahead that the Kita will give her a nice good bye celebration. I am sure she will always remember. Take care of her art works she did at her Kita time. I still have my paintings from that time and thats over decades ago. Even cutting off one ear I would be famous for that but its always a good memory. Isnt it funny that also the nature with fresh snow and even neighbours dog are saying good bye. I liked when Willa was happily looking forward to St. Martins day celebration and got emotional when she said good bye to the house. Guys, I will cross all my fingers for you for a good start into a new episode of your life. Of course I will stay on my sunday dosis of C(family). Many thanks to you showing up in germany as a normal, nice, handsome, earth grounded family which have appreciated living in my home country. CU
Oh we have & will continue to hold on to all her kita stuff 🫶 Our German memories are treasures for us!! Thank you for the all the love and kindness! It means so much. Truly 💗
This one made me cry ! Willa’s goodbye from the kindergarten was so emotional to watch but I think that she made some great memories at the kindergarten ! I hope that your time in Japan is going to be great and that both of your girls will make great memories in Japan ! Do you know the channel called „ Life in Japan “ the channel is from an American family of 6 !
Awww hugs!! It really was an emotional one. We all loved her kita and the relationships we built there! We are excited to make new friends and a community here in Japan! We have heard of the channel, but need to watch some of their videos!
I am more of a follower from Instagram than RUclips (followed since your move to Germany)...but man, this episode was emotional! We are Americans living in southern Germany (non military, small town, and for undecided time frame, maybe forever) with our 4 children. We have been here 3.5 years and this video made me sob- aren't German kindergartens special?! It hurts just to think of potentially leaving here some day but I know you guys will have an amazing time with your next adventure. Have you heard of the "green duck" idea? Americans, for example, are blue ducks, and Germans are yellow ducks. My family will never again be blue ducks, but also never fully yellow ducks (even though we are fluent in German), but rather, always green ducks somewhere in the middle. It carries the burden of never *fully* belonging, but the blessing of seeing the world from a different angle. Tough and beautiful! And you will be able to find the best of each culture. Thanks for sharing your lives with us!
The one thing I learned in Japan was that _all_ the variations of 'excuse me' and 'sorry' are _much_ more important than knowing 'Hello' and 'Thank you', especially as a foreigner. Practise your 'sumimasen', you'll very much need it. Also body language and manners are much more important than pronounciation!
thanks for sharing!! We have been in Japan about one week now and we are saying sumimasen on the regular :) Such helpful tips!! Stay tuned for the adventures in videos soon! :)
Oh my..... I had to move 14 times during my life and I know how it feels to let a home go where you made a lot of memories........The moment of no return when you have already given back the keys to your Landlord and you know you will close that door for the very last time! And as a former "Erzieherin" I was glad to see how Willa's group said goodbye, what a warm and lovely farewell! Must have had real luck with that Kindergarten, they are not all the same, you know..! I guess I'd be equally moved if I had been in your shoes. Waiting for your personal stuff and for your new Japanese home to be furnished to your likings I guess may be hard. But I am sure that there will be so much exciting and new things to explore that this time will fly by like a warping starship! :) I know you are uploading with a delay and I am very excited to hear about your first Japanese impressions! *Hugs for y'all!
Willa got me at, Grandma Tracie's bed is gone! I have enjoyed my trips and adventures in Germany. I am gratedul for those opportunities and especially for the love the people have shown to my family. It was hard to watch her tell all her teachers and friends goodbye at Kita. Now to convince you all that the USA is missing you!!😉😂😊
Have a safe journey, and looking forward to seeing all the new adventures for the family in Japan. There’s lots to look forward to, and great people here in Tokyo too! (Curious of your thoughts on Tokyo Christmas Markets if you get here in time :-) )
We are actually going to be taking a two week hiatus from RUclips as we adjust and settle it a bit, so we won't be filming (& might not have time ourselves to visit one sadly), BUT we will next year ! :) It's funt o hear what people are looking forward to so thanks for sharing!
I wish you a nice 2nd Advent 🕯🕯, that was a very nice, emotional video. I am very happy that you had such a wonderful time as a family in Germany, that you will take so many great moments with you and if you get in touch with your friends and don't forget them, then those who mean well for you will also remain preserved. Of course, a farewell like that hurts, but it also shows you that it was nice and a farewell like that doesn't have to be forever. Of course I'm sad that you're leaving, but at the same time I'm happy that you can now get to know a new country, a new language and a different culture. This is also a nice option, there is a lot to see and discover in Japan and you can definitely go on nice, interesting trips from there. I would like to thank you so far and wish you a great time with exciting reports.
oh noooo, I love your family and we need such a nice and kind people like you here. :( so is pcs an order you HAVE to follow or did you choose to go to japan on your own, did you have multiple options or werent allowed to stay longer ? god japan will be a challenge, huge respect to that move. but better move now than later. I had to move twice as a teenager and lost my friends twice cause of that. turned me into a depressed introvert. but you can do it, you completed other challenges aswell so I wish you all the best for your next years, and a healthy recovery!!! ♥♥♥ big hug from a german fan.
Awww we feel the love! Thank you so much for the kind comment and sharing. It makes us sad to hear how you were affected by the moves as a teenager. That is hard! I (Risa) moved with my family as a teenager too and I was super sad and upset at first. Thankfully, it ended being the best thing because I met Tanner because of it, but your feels from the move are valid & it sounds like had a big impact! So far our time in Japan has been great and the adjustment has honestly been better than we thought. Thank you for the love! Hugs back to you!
oh well, all the best for the start in Japan. From what i know about Japan it's gonna be a different kind of challenge. But you're so young and flexible, open and secure. You're gonna handle it well, i am very sure. Stay safe and healthy. PS. Noa(h) can have such a grown look on her face.... a bit like an old soul in a baby's body.
Saying Goodbye is hard but having Willa speaking German/ English would benefit her long term. One method, you can have her attend online German speaking classes or find people willing to speak to her. Maybe have German books where there way for it to speak to Willa. If you can watch tv in German. I hope can retain the language.
Japan/Tokyo is awesome, went there one time to visit a friend. BUT after around 4-5 Days i missed my Brezen and bread so hard. Food is really good there but only whitebread toasty thingies xD. Thats the only drawback. At least it was for me. My Mum will miss you a lot and the girls of course. :) She knows every Video from you. ❤
Do you even have that much space for all this stuff in Japan?? Gute Reise, vielleicht überlegt ihr es euch ja später noch mal und kommt in ein paar Jahren wieder zurück
hahah we hope so! Places where we will live in Japan are around 3-4 bedroom so we think we will make it work! Might have to sell more things though in case it doesn't!
We are only allowed a certain number of years to be abroad, so the idea of changing to a new country twice in that time (5 years on average), has always been exciting to us. The reason is because our girls are young and we assume we will want more "consistency" once they are in school. Not sure what our future holds, but we know we are a young family right now and have the energy to explore and see more of the world. :)
You didn't answer my question as to what philosophy is required by the USA government to ensure that you don't stay very long in one placer?@@OurStorytoTell
I'm still so, so sad you've left a country you obviously loved and enjoyed living in. On the other hand, Japan will be an exciting and totally different experience you shouldn't miss out on! I'm a littlebit concerned and worried about "Cutest Poffertje" Willa's German speaking skills though, as she obviously understood and comprehend any word spoken (sung) at her so cute and moving Kita's farewell. Learning a (not so) "foreign" language at that young age easily leads up to speaking that particular language at a native level. Studies have shown that being bilingual is actually worth more than having a top-notch college degree. If I were you, I'd enroll her in a GER class asap. Speaking of myself - after my student exchange year in Nampa, ID, I've made it back to the US 78 times since. So I'm positive to seeing you back in GER anytime soon in the future! Thank you ever so, so much for always being such wonderful, highly appreciated ambassadors of the US in GER. Please continue help making this world a better place.... ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Lots of LOVE from Frankfurt, GER!
Aww lots of love back to you in Frankfurt (a city we wish we would have been able to explore more)! We have looked into a German, Japanese school and it’s too far away or else we would do that in a heartbeat! We definitely want to keep her German so we are looking into other lessons and things. 😊 Fun to hear about the benefits!
Haha us too 🤣 We thought about selling more but some house is the area we are at are 4 bedroom so there is hope! We moved to Germany coming from a three bedroom & smaller than these. Only main thing we’ve acquired is another couch. Guess we will see!
@@OurStorytoTell Well, best of luck to you ! Your house in Germany seemed huge to me, we live here in Germany in a 3 1/2 room apartment, (that includes 2 bedrooms). I always thought that houses in Japan are smaller, with smaller rooms, but that might be a wrong perception gotten from some movies. Time will tell ! Good voyage and safe arrival in Japan and good luck learning some Japanese 🍀
Pretty emotional. At the moment I feel like I'm losing good friends. But I don't lose anything, I gain new adventures. And guys, Tokyo is amazing. It is the most vibrant city in the world. I think it's going to be an incredibly good time.

Awww 🥹 we have seen and felt your support and love over the years! Thank you so much! Cheers to the new adventures coming up!
Sending you lots of hugs and warm thoughts. I hope you arrived well in Japan and that settling in is a positive experience. Can´t wait to hear all about your new life in Tokyo! And, this is not good bye, this is definitely auf Wiedersehen!
You are exactly right! We can't wait to share the new adventures with you. Auf Widersehen!! xx
Willa's Good Bye at the Kita just made me cry, it was so emotional. It's nice that you all had such a good time in Germany.
It really was 😭🥹 Thank you!
Not me balling because I know the feeling of moving and how hard it is to say goodbye. But you will cherish this time for the rest of your life’s and one day you’ll be back with even more beautiful memories and experiences ❤
Awww have you moved a lot? 💗 We are already having memories here that have been very special so that helps!
:) HUGS!

Awww it was an emotional video. 🫶 we really appreciate the love and support. Thank you!
I found your channel when you guys were moving to Germany, my home, and I was moving to Washington State in the US. Time flies and we are also about to move again or hopefully can stay here longer. Thank you for embarrassing german culture and habits and for loving my country. I wish you all the best! Anni
Embarrassing should be embracing …. Stupid autocorrect :D
😢 I've feel like we got to know you like family. We have loved your adventures and trips to all the European countries. This was so hard to watch without crying, oh man....we are losing a piece of our family. Willa grew up here and will miss it
To you and your two young girls, God bless, and may God protect you in your travels and be with you always. I'm sad you are leaving 😢 but look forward to your next video ❤

All the best for the move. I also moved to Germany 2 years ago, now living in Austria. So have been following you for trip ideas and just to learn, while you learn. We will miss you!!
That's awesome that you've experienced life in both Germany and Austria! Where did you move to Germany from? We hope the videos helped! :) Thank you!
@OurStorytoTell lived in Mulheim (Ruhr) in NRW and now I am in Graz in Styria and I'm originally from South Africa. So I watched a lot of expat channels to learn with them and that's how I came across your channel, so have been following you since you first came over!
Well Done Family. All the best. ❤️. And …. Bis bald in good old Germany.
Awww thank you 💗💗
Good bye then my lovelies. I wish you all the best in Japan. Soon we all will be just memories of your time in germany. But its okay, thats how life goes. Stay healthy and i hope your dreams come true. 🙋♀️

🫶 aww we are feeling the love! Thank you!
man.. didnt know that this could be so difficult to watch. i caught attention to your videos pretty soon after you guys moved to germany - i think my youtube search was something like "americans try german food" - and although we never met or had contact in any way besides a few youtube comments sprinkled in here and there, that video really messed around with my emotions.
i really hope that all the bavarian (and pretty much everyone else in general) left a good impression on you and germany treated you well. i am lookin forward to how your journey is going to continue in japan and i wish you the best when it comes to adjusting to yet another culture, language and different society.
even that next weeks video teaser kinda breaks my heart.
Ahh dang it! We wish we could have ran into you. Truly, time FLEW BY! 🥹

Thank you 🫶 We are proud of ourselves to take the risk so that means a lot!
@@OurStorytoTell that would be great. Can't wait to follow your adventures in Japan. We miss you already in Germany. Hugs
Auf Wiedersehen...bis bald in Japan.
To new adventures. 🙂 🇯🇵
HUGS 🤗

Take care 🥰
Truly 💗

Oh my, you guys are brave!💪🏼Looking forward to following your adventure in Japan.
Thanks for the continued support 🫶 Means so much!
@@OurStorytoTell All the best and don't stress yourself too much for youtube. Ganbatte!
wish you all the good !
I know you are uploading with a delay and I am very excited to hear about your first Japanese impressions! *Hugs for y'all!
Okay this comment was so kind! 🫶 We Can feel the love and support! Thank you!!
@@OurStorytoTell My pleasure!
Willa got me at, Grandma Tracie's bed is gone! I have enjoyed my trips and adventures in Germany. I am gratedul for those opportunities and especially for the love the people have shown to my family. It was hard to watch her tell all her teachers and friends goodbye at Kita. Now to convince you all that the USA is missing you!!😉😂😊
💗💗💗
Good luck for your new life
It means a lot, thank you :)
You guys are real travel junkies 😄
Haha can’t deny that! 😂
I wish you a nice 2nd Advent 🕯🕯,
that was a very nice, emotional video.
Our German memories are treasure to us!! We will never forget them 🥹🫶
All the best in Japan missed jetzt u guys 😊
Thank you!! :)
oh noooo, I love your family and we need such a nice and kind people like you here.
Thank you! 😊 We’ve been in Japan a couple days now and can say we are really enjoying it so far!
I do so hope that you will love Japan just as much 🫶 and have the greatest time & settle in very well :-)
Aww thanks! So far we are loving it honestly! :)
I'm so, so, so happy to hear that :-) 🙏🫶🎈💌🎯🤍
Saying Goodbye is hard but having Willa speaking German/ English would benefit her long term. One method, you can have her attend online German speaking classes or find people willing to speak to her. Maybe have German books where there way for it to speak to Willa. If you can watch tv in German. I hope can retain the language.
I also got very emotionally when you did!😢 But I am also exited to your journey to Japan! Bye bye from Hamburg Germany 🤗🤗🥰🥰👘👘🍱🍱
Awww so sweet. Thank you friend!! xxxx
Aww tell your mom hello from us 💗 so so sweet you two! We will miss the German bread for sure!!
Oh, boy! This was hard to watch. I completely lost it, at the Kita/Kindergarten good byes. 😪
I know that part still makes us cry every time 🥹🫶
Oh, this will be a difficult transition. Japan is nice for a vacation, but hard to live in for foreigners 😢
A lot of stuff for an average japanese home ;-) Hope it will fit in.
The scene at the kindergarten... Did someone cut onions there? 😢
I know!! The most loving and warm goodbye 😭🥹
That House is wonderful how much Rent did you pay for it
I wonder what the philosophy is behind this need for a change of duty stations after a certain amount of time. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
We are only allowed a certain number of years to be abroad, so the idea of changing to a new country twice in that time (5 years on average), has always been exciting to us. The reason is because our girls are young and we assume we will want more "consistency" once they are in school. Not sure what our future holds, but we know we are a young family right now and have the energy to explore and see more of the world. :)
You didn't answer my question as to what philosophy is required by the USA government to ensure that you don't stay very long in one placer?@@OurStorytoTell
You can always come back.
We hope 😊
I do hope you’ll find a house in Japan big enough to hold all your stuff 🍀
Haha us too 🤣 We thought about selling more but some house is the area we are at are 4 bedroom so there is hope! We moved to Germany coming from a three bedroom & smaller than these. Only main thing we’ve acquired is another couch. Guess we will see!
@@OurStorytoTell
Well, best of luck to you !
