Awesome!! New plane day at Brian Phillips RC! I love all your videos, they're so educational and informative. You and Camera Crew(hero) put so much time and effort in to these videos and it shows. Y'all are my go to when it's time to get a new plane and very entertaining to boot!
@orlandodelarosa801 apparently some planes have it and some don't. It's just a single yellow servo cable coming from the esc. I had to look a little in the back behind where the battery sits.
You guys are awesome. It's so nice that if we're interested in an aircraft. All we need to do is check out your channel and in most cases ,you have a detailed instructional review for us. Thank you
Brian - Thanks for taking the time to go through the build. Excellent video. I am 64-years old and have an interface in RC plane hobby. Have I missed the mark to get into this hobby? If not, would you provide a shopping list of things I would need to get started as a beginner?
So much to consider when getting into, or BACK into the hobby. The skills of piloting the planes haven't changed tons, but the technology to help you get in the air have really improved drastically! Here's what I suggest as a beginners list... It is NOT exhaustive, and it's NOT in any particular order, but it'll give you some things to consider. If you KNOW you've caught the RC aircraft bug, then you might consider skipping some of the READY TO FLY planes in exchange for nicer choices that might be cheaper in the long run, but more expensive up front. If this is the case, please hit me up in future comments, as you start working through your progression. It's a process. It takes YEARS to get good enough to "fly anything"....but you too CAN do it. Just takes time, some discipline, and commitment, and of course, loads of help from others as you're getting started (or coming back to the hobby). We're here for you as you make your moves. Need some help brian, i got this jet and built it a few days ago. following this guide and i hit a snag with the setup, the left elevator/aileron isnt functioning atall ! the right is working fine, its as if the servo for the rudder and left wing is bad, or they havent been connected properly, trouble is iv already glued the wings and rudder on. what can i do now if anything to check this
Another great video! FYI, the link for the Rafale is not working as of 7:40pm EDT 10/06/22. I was hoping for full function canards but my field is too small for the 80mm Rafale. This NATO livery sure looks good on the 64mm!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Brian, it’s a combination of the FMS site and the VPN on my iPhone. Same result with Chrome, Safari, and Firefox browsers. With VPN enabled I can reach your Horizon Hobby and Arrows links but none of your FMS links. With VPN disabled I can get to all links (a sampling of them-I didn’t click all of them. Hay man was setting up audio events and accidentally put to many events on flaps have nx8. How do you delete what you don't want. Switch b on 1 says 4 things only want it to say take off flaps. It's a umx turbo timber
I believe you can just delete the event, or change the even to SILENCE. Now that I think of it, I might have had issues deleting this myself...but can't recall. Kinda not sure I want to make a bunch just to find out there's no real good way to delete the events - LOL ;) - but I suspect the "Silence" event will at least fix your gripe for now.
What are the specs on the nose gear. I added low bounce tires to the mainstream but the nose gear is rigid so the nose bounce immediately degrading steering authority.
What's up Brian. I just got this jet and am trying to set up my AR631 in it. I got it installed, but when Im in the forward programming and try to set the safe self leveling on my flight mode switch the throttle is activated. Has this happen to you before. What am I doing wrong bro?
NX10 ;) Do it ;) bprc.me/Tx - you'll never regret getting a good transmitter, but you will regret not getting one. It's hard since you'll have to use the plane budget for a tool, which might even mean no planes for a few weeks or a month (or more :(....... BUT, even still, you'll never regret getting into something nice that will last a long time, and make your entire experience better) Good luck!
A very good Thursday afternoon to you all in the USA from Wellington Somerset in the UK
Thanks David!
26:15 - nice nail. It really brings out the color of your eyes. That's a cool looking plane.

Awesome, thank you! Glad you're here with us Zack, and glad your getting good from the footage ;)
I just got mine all built and programed. I was surprised to find that it came equipped with thrust reverse via a yellow cable coming from the ESC.
AWESOME! I don't understand why SOME have it and SOME don't - makes it hard for us to recommend this to everyone, since we don't always see it.
@@BrianPhillipsRC The yellow lead is hidden under the battery tray, had to tug the throttle wire to get to it.

When connecting the reciever to the reflex 2 it looks like you used 5 servo wires, was that a separate purchase?
Not that I recall...but there are times other stabilizers DO require wires be purchased. In this case, they're already there.
Have you purchased from Fair rc linked in the video? I want to but it appears they only accept pay pal which make me suspicious

Does this use an IC3 battery connector.
I'm real sorry, but can't remember. We do show it a number of times in this video though.

Your landing gears need to be swapped... facing wrong way.
The mains?
