This video just made me make a purchase decision. I was typically the Razer guy but this really enticed me to move on with this one. (Of course this is still by individual reference.)
I own the Logitech MX Performance Mouse and it's not really that great. Same could be said about the software too. User profiles are often broken, erratic scrolling and zooming, the dreaded double click (I actually had to dismantle the mouse to fix that), doesn't work on all surfaces, low battery notification doesn't always show up and battery life isn't as advertised (and I use good batteries). I do like how customizable the software and mouse actually is and how you can unify other peripherals and other features.
Grumpy Cat Can't confirm it. Use the Performance mouse for about 7 years and had never issues with it. Actually I would go so far to say that it is the best product that they ever had (concerning the ergonomics). The newer masters lack the grip and button placement. Due to its age I consider to retire it for a Master S2. Would rather like a Performance S2 if they would have one.
Just need to know. What is the specific name of the charger of this? I don’t know where my charger is and trying to find what kind of charger it uses is harder than finding how to make a nuclear bomb and it’s driving me crazy
yes because mx master 2s batteries stays longer :D which really dealbreaker to buy old mx master. Yeah the software is nice, but the battery is even more.
Does your Logitech MX Master 2S Wireless Mouse scroll Apple Calendar? I have a Logitech Performance Mouse MX and it won't move the calendar up or down. My apple mouse will. Before I buy another mouse I'd like to know it works with Calendar.

I ordered a Logitech MX MASTER 2S :) Light Grey one! Love how it looks and it's a high quality wireless mouse. Not the best for gaming but should be Okay.... Great video man. Amazing for productivity and desktop/browsing use! Solid scroll wheel, I hope... for scolling a lot ;). And so comfortable+wireless ;)! no wire. I have the same headphones as you ;) Audio Technica ATH M50. At least looks the same. I love mine, mine are white edition too!!! Great headphones. Mine are the non-x version, cable is not removable. Otherwise the same.
Great, great review. The original MX Master is good enough for my uses (and I bought it about 2 weeks prior to the release of this one) but this one looks really cool and I can see how the software changes could really be worth it if you need it for stuff like that.

Yes, I agree, the original MX mice are a better buy. However, recently Logitech were offering 30% off if you purchased 3 items, 20% for 2 items and 10% for 1 item. These purchases, if you needed anything would have helped. Also, I am sure after the initial rush to purchase, the price will come down. It all depends on whether the copy & paste facility would make it beneficial to you!
If you're interested in the sharing functionnality offered with the new mice you definitely should have a look at Synergy ! It allows you to share the mouse + keyboard and copy paste between machines too and works across Windows, Mac and Linux and it's 20 $ (30 with their pro package which "only" has ssl encryption added in the mix) If you know your way around code, the source is open source but you gotta compile it yourself (so you could technically have it free, legally). If you're mostly on windows, there's also Mouse without borders that's free and quite useful (Although one of it's caveats is that it's a microsoft garage project and it's not really supported that much anymore)

I am starting to hate mine. The USB receiver is very flimsy and when you plug the cable in, it only charges the battery. You cannot use it in wired mode.
I bought the white stormstrooper a couple months ago. Absolutely love it... the downside is it gets dirty VERY easily. Like, definitely wash your hands before using it every single time. I pet my dog after she was at the dog park and forgot to wash my hands. Kind of destroyed the mouse. The dirt sticks to the rubbery surface pretty stubbornly. Bleach helped but didn't fully remove it. Kind of a buzzkill. Consider before getting the white one!
nice at least someone said that it has middle button :D That middle button quite hard to press and i was scared to broken it as it don't have right left lean buttons on scrollwheel, so i expected that it may don't have a middle button too. Like this mouse, but that thumb rest place is sooo huge :D It is a way different from other mouses BTW it is also quite comfortable to use on left hand when you are using two mouses at same time on different pc. Strange feeling but quite comfortable considering it isn't ambidextrous.

I feel like the copy & paste function between computers could be done with the original mouse since it doesn't seem to be using any additional hardware and only wifi.. I have the original mouse and love it, but I hope eventually Logitech or someone crafty will create a patch and have that same copy & past feature
For anyone looking for a budget MX Master 2S alternative, look no further than the M720 by Logitech. It's literally a cheaper MX Master 2S, being able to do most of the things it's big pricey brother can. If you have the money tho, I'd go for this guy

Is it possible to switch between different desktops on Mac? I personally always use 3 virtual desktops and change a lot between them. Currently I'm using a Magic Trackpad gen1 for my everyday use, but that MX Master 2S looks pretty darn awesome.
Great video, I am looking to upgrade from the Logitech marathon, I have a power tip for you that you might enjoy. That rubber squeeze button on the side, I set it to launch a clipboard manager popup with the last 1000 things I copied and pasted. I use Ditto for Windows but there are good mac alternatives too. Also I would love to see you review the Stream Deck for non streaming use since the buttons are all customizable OLEDs.
How is the scrollwheel holdin' up? MX Master 1 is plagued by scrollwh(e)elofdeath , maybe i should wait for Master 3 and hopefully that issue will be addressed + USB C rapid charge.. there is a design flaw that seriously needs to be addressed considering its a flagship mice and a hefty pricetag
I still use my Logitech Mx Master and never had an issue with it. I use it 6-8 hours a day for work and still works fine till this day i am waiting for a 3 iteration hoping that a Usb Type C option comes out as it would be nice to have everything charge off one cable.

mathieubaesen Great question, oh no it's actually clicks, it's a real button. Just feels a lil strange because you almost always trigger a scroll while pressing it down. But other than that, no big deal

Clicking the scrollwheel makes you panning and rotating around your object, which is the second to most used button in the modelling workflow. Hearing pressing the scrollwheel engages a scroll is quite a bummer actually... Guess I will have to be able to test this mouse in my workflow before actually knowing it's true handling.
mathieubaesen Yeah go ahead and Give it a shot. It's just the natural motion of clicking the scroll wheel, it's kind of expected, not actually a defect. But for panning 3D environment, I would recommend using the middle button before the scroll wheel

The previews mx-master has a lot of issues with bluetooth connection.With this did you see any difference between dongle and bluetooth ?

you could have the cable for charging a phone without needing two
USB-C is just easier IMO because you don't have to fiddle with getting it the right way up when plugging it in.
Type C is a better connection for any device.

Nothing will happen. It a Lithium battery, you can't really "overcharge" it. Back in the days of nickel cadmium batteries you could, not anymore...
