While it is very helpful learning from the top players' ghosts, one should not forget that at the end of the day, it is our own skill and understanding of racing that makes the difference. For those who are struggling to get within silver, you should first go and train up your skills in the Licenses and Circuit Experience modes. It is pointless to simply learn a racing line or the track limit without both understanding why the top players are doing what they were doing and without the skill level to pull (most if not all of) them. By the time you can get all gold on the Licenses and Circuit Experiences, then that is where you should be able to get bronze on the first run without any help. Next step would be to push yourself for a fast silver time simply by practicing and familiarization of the track and car, and once you hit a plateau, that is when these tips videos and top players ghosts are actually meaningful for you.
Haven't really tried playing time trials yet still working on all gold everything, but now I know how to get those medals on the sport screen. I had no idea how those worked.
I just learned how to load a ghost, but I'm one of the rare people who find the ghost to distracting. Granted, I've only been playing about 2 months, so I've got a lot to learn. The good news is it doesn't take me too many tries to get into bronze, so that's a plus, but I only just got into silver this week. I was a commercial truck driver for 25+ years, so I instinctively drive by engine sound and feel of the road. GT7 does a great job with engine sound, I only wish I could buy a full motion sim rig because it's the feel of sway and wheel slippage that would make me a great sim racer.
So, i got a 2:18 in the time trial for the subaru in time trial mountain, which should be enough to get 250,000 credits. I didn’t know how to redeem the credits, can tou please tell me how?
Does BoP negate all tuning/modifications? Like, if I do weight reduction 1 and then add ballast to adjust the weight distribution, does BoP negate all of that?
Yes. It sets the car including tuning parts and all settings to a pre set setting. If it’s a road car with rear wings and splitters etc they are only cosmetic. No performance difference.
It really stinks that I need a PS Plus subscription to take on these Time Trials. GT5 and GT6 had them as Seasonal Events, and GT7 have them as part of Sport Mode.
Question: am I getting things wrong?, I believed that you HAD to have a ps plus sub. Just to start the game and play, is that wrong? I ONLY drive campaign, never sport mode, so, is it enough just to be connected to the internet??🤔
@@j.rolfsted you do not need ps plus for the time trial part of the sport mode. All other sport mode races you need a active ps membership. The reason you dont need a membership is because the time trial in sport mode, you do not race anyone and are playing solo, you are just racing everyone in the world to get the best time on the leaderboards (within 3% of the world record time is a gold medal) You only require an active internet connection for the full campaign and time trial part of sport mode. No internet - music rally and arcade mode no campaign mode even Internet connection with no ps plus - full campaign and access to time trials in sport mode Internet and psplus all above and all of sport mode

Yeah you make some really great points. Good information 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks man I literally had no idea you could watch other peoples lap times. I’ve been stuck getting silver for weeks
It’s a game changer 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the information. I didn’t know all the different ghost settings.
Hope it helps 👍🏻

It's funny that it seems like almost every winner of these time trials is from Japan. I think they're employees of Polyphony.
I think there are very fast Japanese drivers 👍🏻
Hi, man, thanks for the video, it's really usefull... btw... was raining really hard it seems, by the sound arround you. cheres
Thanks man. Yeah it was absolutely monsoon while I was recording bits of this video 🤣🤣
That Thumbnail is awesome!
Thanks man 👍🏻👍🏻
I'd suggest to not do many restarts in a row because every time you restart, you tyres will become colder and with less grip.
Good info. Chris and things that I already do, what I have not done is go back to it after the second day, I will now.
Like deployed 👍
😎🎙🏎✅
Thanks Julian. Always appreciate your support 👍🏻👍🏻
Only 300th of a sec off gold have to wait til end of the week to try again good info Chris
Thanks Neil. Let us know if this helps 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator will do 👍
14,7 gold just 👍
Nice. Good work. Keep track to see if the WR improves. That’ll move the gold time a bit.

When the entry period closes. Then go back into sport mode and you’ll be granted your reward 👍🏻

@@Doughtinator Damn. Well, thanks for the info, man. I appreciate it.👍
No problem man. Happy to help 👍🏻
How can you see your friends times? Difficult in GT7?
I do wish they would make the white line the limit on every track. I shouldn't have to see how much cheating I can get away with, to set a fast time.
I completely agree. The lines should be the limits 👍🏻
When I click on the leaderboard video icons there's no option to watch the playbacks ,are the top players able to stop you watching their efforts ?
You need to view the leader board before you go into time trial. You should have the option to view their replays then.
It’s hard to beat the time over and over
Yeah it’s not easy. But rewarding when you do 👍🏻
once you get gold you should be given that prize and not for them to move the goal posts, thats a to##@ trick
Yeah it’s a bit harsh. But I guess it’s sport mode time trial so it’s a moving target based on the world record at the end of the period.

Ah man. I didn’t realise that you needed PS plus for these. That’s a shame.
@@Doughtinator you do not need ps plus. I do not have it and participate just fine. Only time trials work tho, any actual multiplayer needs psplus.
