      I think fair for the reason Jeannie gave. Wearing white is a nice reward for the women who actually made that sacrifice and stayed virgins but I think women who lost theirs through molestation/rape should be able to wear white too.
      Lol by the time I get married I'll probably be in my 30s so no way will I feel any shame that I'm not a virgin. Bring on the off-white dress😂

I knew someone who came from a very religious family and had the whole "wait till marriage for anything sexaul", and do you know when she finally got married? Age 42. Jeannie Mai , we have to stop associating sexual activity in women with purity. Being sexually active does not make someone dirty or impure. It is the lie we tell children who then grow up to have unhealthy views about sex. A woman's right to choose is what leads some to make the choice to wait. It is also choice that leads some women to not. Being a virgin is not a sign of character, making healthy choices for yourself are. Both her and Mowry were a discredit to women for constantly behaving like sexual activity that brings ALL of us into this world somehow makes a woman soiled...Stop it!

  • @tamamsamir
    @tamamsamir Год назад

    I was disappointed in their responses. They’re missing the bigger issue, just in him telling his fiancé that she’s not pure is an issue in itself. Even if she’s not a virgin, he shouldn’t call her impure. There’s a deeper issue in their relationship and that woman should reconsider. Any woman has the right to wear white

  • @michelebonner9973
    @michelebonner9973 3 года назад

    Actually, the real symbol of bridal "purity" isn't the white dress. It's the blusher veil over your face, but most brides decide whether or not to have one based on how it looks with the dress, not on the state of her virginity. That woman was right to call off her wedding. If he had a religious issue with her wearing a white dress, he should also have had a religious issue with dating or marrying her.

    Guys anyone can do whatever they want. It’s a tradition, I personally love that tradition but ever one interprets it differently, like for me I wasn’t a virgin but it was my FIRST marriage. I think it should be reserved for one of those two. If I were to get remarried white just doesn’t fit anymore, FOR ME anyways. Not every tradition has to be torn down by modernism. If you want to rock black or pink hey that’s beautiful too, but don’t knock someone who believes in that.

    I know several women that the white dress or sheets is used for the wedding night and if there’s blood on the sheets that means she’s pure and it’s a huge celebration ...it’s different for everyone different customs etc I know my Chinese friend got married in a red dress and that’s normal for her culture , but for me for my wedding dress I don’t think I would wear a white white dress even if I was “pure” it’s just not my style
