Clear instructions and great video
Thank you! Hope you like and subscribe 🙏🏼
Good job on the detail.
Thank you!
Great video but when are you suppose to service the DCT transmission
Don't you have to reset adaptions or something? I heard its actually bad to service the F80 dct. I'm scared to do it to mine. Let me know please!
Great video! How much fluid did it take on refill?
Hello, thank you for sharing the post, usefull:-) I saw that you bought 6 litres of oil, but the transmission circuit is projected for 8,5 litres (DCT+cooler+pipes). Did you changed all the oil or only the amount in DCT and the rest (2,5 litre) in pipes and cooler you left there? Thanks
hi Guys , nice video . X2 F39 2019 . will i follow the same procedure ?
Great video! Did you need a BMW-specific scanner for the trans temp data or does a universal OBD scanner work?
A higher and overall will work. autel, snap on, Mac, Marco, etc ,
Idk how you didn't fit a 8mm on the fill plug, I have a normal socket I cut in half and fits with ratchet great
lol we try not to cut the tools as much as possible. But sometimes a custom tool most he fabricated!
Look up VIM tools. They sell a half cut bit set that's helped me with my Audi S3 and BMW M2C.
Great vid, do you need to replace the pan cover or just the gasket? Thanks
Thank you! We recommend replacing the pan, as you can't buy the gasket separately from BMW
I may be a bit late to ask, but how many miles were on this f80? The fluid didnt look terribly dirty. Also around how much did this cost out the door, parts and labor?
About 60k miles it was awhile ago but I believe under 1k for this service and another
Can you give the link where I can get the filters, gasket, and oil?
We got ours from the BMW dealer, but you can buy them online on FCP Euro, ECS Tuning, Bimmer World, etc. Here's the link to one of the kits on FCP: www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-ultimate-dual-clutch-transmission-service-kit-28107842840kt2
Hi! Does this apply to a 2017 BMW M2 OG N55?
You mean S55?
@@outlaweuro Hi! No, I have a 2017 N55 M2.
technically yes, it's same transmission
Yes
DCT is lifetime fluid on F8x cars, what’s the reason for doing this flush?
Because lifetime fluid is not a thing, every oil breaks down
BMW spec for Lifetime is 80,000KM's
As they said, BMW calls it lifetime fluid but we have never seen one of those fluids last the life of the vehicle unless the vehicles engine or transmission fails. Remember BMW told people to go 10k miles on oil changes!
