when bleeding the smg, are you only bleeding the slave cylinder or more? do you need to do anything physically for bleeding or does the car handle it?

I am a little bit scared because mine had one exactly like that never spun or anything like that please give me an advice my mechanic he said he inspected the the pumps and they were ok he never said anything to replace the pump

Thanks for the video! So I followed all the steps and when I went to start the car only the starter would run without the car starting. So I went under the hood (while battery was still plugged) and turns out one of the DME connectors weren’t in all the way, it would pull out even when “locked”. I plugged it in all the way (battery still plugged in) and then went inside the car to see a bunch of transmission, drivetrain malfunctions… and now when I try to start the car the starter won’t even run. Do you think all I need to do is clear all codes with Bimmerlink?

Great vid, thanks. I see you skipped over the re-fitting of the bracket that the DMEs mount to. That is a pain in the arse. Why BMW didn't make the bolts captive is beyond me. Bluetack helps anyway. I used to remove and refit my downpipes every year. I thought I'd never have to deal with that crap again but I need to do the plugs :-/

Just FYI, you can get out the oem exhaust manifolds without unbolting anything associated with the subframe. When did it, we just removed the plastic pan and that was it. Nothing else had to be removed except for the coolant expansion tank in the engine bay.
