I don't have a Rogue Rover but still enjoyed watching your video. I was watching it because I looked at a 2014 RRS SC and it had a warning light, suspension fault, vehicle lean when cornering
Great explanation on disassembling & RE assembling but could have used some info on cleaning, lubing or replacing the O-Rings for newbies like me. Thanks
Hey! All your RRS videos are super💪🏼 really helpfull! My RRS 2010 has a problem with the suspension won’t lower. When I try to lower it, it jumps up to offroad mode. The ride feel kinda “bumpy” and the ride height looks off. It does not sag over time. Any helpful advice? Thanks!
Thank you for your explanation, Very informative I have a RRS 2005 which is now at the lowest suspension level - it does not rise up I discovered that the compressor relay is not working - the compressor works if I bridge the wiring Any thoughts on what i should do? Thanks Philip
Very nice explanation. Yet, I would have liked to see how to properly clean these little parts with the specific cleaner or lubricant. I have the feeling that the parts are still durty
You can purchase new o-rings (in description) or use silicone spray and rub down the o-rings to make them appear like new. Or just buy new valve blocks altogether 🌚. I'll be sure to show all relevant steps in the next video.
I am getting ready to replace the front and rear valve blocks vs refurbishing them on 2008 Range Rover HSE. Hazy - Do you know if front and rear valve blocks are the same when searching for the aftermarket $50ish replacements? Front and rear same on your vehicle?
Mechanically they are identical, I would recommend not refurbishing the valve blocks since I've heard some people having problems after a refurbish that resolved with replacing the part, it's just too hard to know if the rubber is sealing on the solenoids.
@@HazyJayThat helps tremendously. Thank you I also have the kit to refurb the compressor's dryer with o-rings, internal filters and drying beads. I can only imagine how caked and bound up the internals will be when I get in there.
The solenoids might have different windings or voltages even though they look identical, try to purchase the correct one for the front or back because of this!
These videos really need air in the title. been looking for the dynamic swaybar valve body and all your videos show up for a search of that which isnt even close to the same thing
You can check the 4x4 info screen in the dash, if it shows that all wheels are extended then the height sensors are working. If it shows that they are all normal height, but are extended in real life, then they are faulty. Inability to vent ALL wheels is likely due to a faulty exhaust valve on the compressor, if it's just the front or just the back then it could be the front or back valve block.
Hazy, when I park and shut off my 08 RRS, the auto level system always drops the rear driver wheel more than the rear passenger. I know the shock is not leaking because I literally watch the system actuate and let air out of it. My car also does not sag overnight. Do you think my rear valve block has a blockage? Or is it maybe a software problem? It also will often not pump the shock back up when driving again. Thanks
Check the 4x4 info on the dash. If the wheel appears level on the screen but it's NOT in real life, your height sensor needs replacing or calibrating. If it's unlevel on the screen AND in real life, then you a new valve block on the rear sounds like a reasonable first step.
Hi, i have strange fault U0434-86. And "wehicle leans when cornering". I replaced fron right shock absorber. But it happened later. And it progressed. At first it was once a week, later once a day, now it comes after startin vehicle. Lr320. Its the only fault code in suspension. Steering angle sensor when steering wheel is in normal position shows 0. But after changing shock rear right one stays very high. What would you suggest?
You'll need a diagnostic that can pull which modules triggered the code (dealer probably) to diagnose exactly what is triggering this, since it can be multiple. It CAN be the suspension solenoid (front/rear), so if you want to try to replace these ($50 each) that can be an option.
@@HazyJay i removed all connections around that block, checked wires, nothing. Left for tomorow. Strange thing, after replacing leaking front right strut. Car leans left when driving
@@gmykolas Yeah the center solenoid of the valve block may be stuck in the closed position due to dessicate dust, you may consider cleaning the solenoid and seeing if you get lucky.
@@HazyJay thank you for still replying even after 5 months. my front end wont go up, i figured it can be the front valve block, i refurbished it. it wasnt bad to begin with. i got a code for the front driver height sensor supply. circuit looks fine so i replaced the sensor. still have the issue.
HAZY, IVE GOT A SERIOUS PROBLEM! MY REAR WINDOWS ARE STUCK OPEN! THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 2 YEARS BUT THEY ALWAYS EVENTUALLY WORK. BUT THIS TIME ITS BEEN 3 DAYS WITH THEM OPEN! RELAY? BCM? FUSE? WHAT DO YOU THINK, HAVE YOU HAD THIS YET? COMMON PROB BUT I DONT SEE THE L320 ON ANY FORUMS OR VIDS? MY COMPUTERS ARENT IN THE GLOVE BOX AND I DONT KNOW WHICH RELAY IT IS??
You can try resetting the rear window by holding the switch up for about 3 minutes, then turning the car off and on again and see. Otherwise it may be a short circuit or frayed wire, these are harder to find.
@@johnnyquid3350 Do they roll up if you use the rear door switch? Does the rear door lock work? This has never happened to me but if the switch doesn't reset it's likely an electrical connection or the window ECU is faulty. There's a bit of information online if you look for "LR3 rear windows stuck", should work for a RRS because they are very similar.
@@HazyJay Rear Door switches are dead no power. No clicking no nothing. Its either the wiring harness in passenger door sill or BCM problem or maybe a relay?? We will find out soon cuz its at the dealer as we speak! 😬💰💰💰💰

Your videos are so clear and precise, mate - nice one you proper legend.
O ring kits are cheaply available - no affiliation but just an example of what is out there. Much cheaper than a new block. Great video

Can we add little grease??
It would need to very thin, say silicone spray rather than bearing grease.

can the electromagnet that pulls the solenoid go bad and cause them not to function?
