Wheel Scratch/Curb Rash Repair in 5 minutes - Jaguar F-type R
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼
Wheel or rim scratches (aka curb rash) can occur when you drive too close to a curb or even when you drive near large pot holes or defects in the road. The Jaguar F-type tires typically do not provide any protection to the wheel, and usually the tire and wheel are flush and thus exposed to scuffs. When a wheel is scratched, the underlying aluminum is exposed which is silver and more obvious in contrast.
The goal of a wheel scratch repair is to remove the contrast between the aluminum and the overlying paint. The repair will not be perfect but will look significantly improved and will be barely detectable from over 4 feet away.

Lowering Springs DIY - Jaguar F-Type R - VAP vs. Mina vs. Stock
Просмотров 7656 месяцев назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ Here I will show you how to add lowering springs to the jaguar f-type (X152), specifically the R variant. The original springs were replaced with Mina Gallery springs, which were very low and too harsh for Houston roads. Because of this I switched again to Velocity AP springs. Velocity AP springs are variable compression, so they are soft during normal driving and...
Heater Core Flush - Range Rover Sport and LR3
Просмотров 12 тыс.Год назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The heater core is a crucial component of a vehicle's heating and ventilation system. It works by using hot coolant from the engine to provide warmth to the interior of the vehicle. The heater core may become clogged over time from sediments that accumulate in the cooling system in a similar fashion to how the radiator itself may become clogged over time. A heater...
Brake Bleed and Flush - Range Rover Sport or LR3
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The brake fluid should be flushed in the Range Rover Sport or LR3 every 45,000 miles or 2 years (whichever comes first), or, you can use a brake fluid tester to test the water content of the fluid. Water in the brake fluid increases corrosion in the metal brake lines. A brake fluid bleed and flush is relatively cheap, and most of the work comes from jacking up and...
Jaguar F-type R Oil Change - Extraction vs. Drain Plug
Просмотров 9 тыс.Год назад
UPDATE: REMOVE FILTER CAP BEFORE SUCTIONING, extractor does work! When I changed the oil a year later, removing the oil filter cap prior to suctioning the oil allowed me to suction almost all of the oil out. Around 50cc of oil was left from the drain plug. ▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The F-type is designed to be easy to change the oil from the top, given it has a oil extraction tube under th...
Passenger Footwell Water Leak - Range Rover Sport or LR3
Просмотров 14 тыс.Год назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The passenger side footwell may have water ingress due to a clogged sunroof drain (ruclips.net/video/sFPufgA0iNY/видео.html) or in this case, a warped cowl causing water ingress through the AC duct. Unfortunately, the AC duct intake is in direct line with the bottom of the windshield, so a warped cowl or overly flat windshield wipers may allow water to seep into t...
Rear cabin flapping/ticking/rattling noise - Jaguar F-Type R
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.Год назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The F-type may develop a flapping ticking rattling or tapping noise in the rear of the cabin that's particularly worse around 70 mph when the spoiler deploys. This is typically due to failure of the weatherstrip tape near the tailgate that allows wind to flap the rubber when the spoiler is deployed. This can be mediated fairly easily by using 3m weatherstrip adhes...
Throttle Body Cleaning in 5 mins - Range Rover Sport or LR3
Просмотров 16 тыс.Год назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The throttle body is responsible for directing airflow into the engine and responds to accelerator pedal depression. The throttle body is located on the air intake manifold. Sensors in the throttle body determine the position of the throttle plate and the rate of change of its angle. Because the throttle body is integral to engine speed, a dirty throttle body will...
Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement - Range Rover Sport or LR3
Просмотров 37 тыс.Год назад
▼Parts and Tools Listed Below▼ The wheel hub and bearing on the Range Rover Sport or LR3 are frequent wear items. When the wheel hub/bearing begins to fail, you may notice a grinding noise coming from a corner of the car that changes as the wheel speed changes and/or with turning left or right. The grinding usually does not change with light braking or accelerator use. When you jack up the whee...

Great video well done!!!
Очень благодарен автору за прекрасное и очень информативное видео.
Hey where is heater control valve located on a 2008 range rover
I'm pretty sure CO2 is the product of any combiston (complete as well) CO or Carbonmonoxide would be the product of uncomplete combustion.
The exhaust backup validation test is brilliant
Full video on this can be found on Atlantic British site along with a necessary calibration video. Both are necessary.
Thank you for this explanation but it works this on a L322 too?
Mine is running a little lean, has a misfire. I found I'm missing the grommet that connects the air box to that side fender. Can that cause issues?
How are these aftermarket valve blocks compared to oem? Also, why the switch to standard coils?
They work fine and are cheap enough to at least try to see if it solves the issue. I switched to coils after I needed to change the compressor for the 2nd time at around 150K miles. The air suspension lines get clogged with desiccate powder and eventually become too much of a headache to troubleshoot. It's nice to just get in and drive without having to worry about the air suspension.
@ makes sense. I have 118,000kms on my 10 L322 5LSC so I think I still have some time before it becomes not worth fixing. I’m currently getting front end sag overnight when it is really cold (-5C and below) and your videos have been great in educating me on how to diagnose the problem (even though it airs up very fast on first start with no error codes on the dash). Hoping it’s the valve block and not an air strut!
B&B, just down the street from me.... might be a sign lol
how do I figure out which body height sensor of the range rover vogue l322 is out of order?
You can look at the 4x4 info screen and usually one of the wheels will look like it's in the wrong position.
Much appreciated!
Insanely well made videos on the RRS.
Hi Hazy! The mechanic at an independent LR shop said he won't do a flush on my 2009 RRS because he's afraid it will cause my heater core to leak. Any thoughts? (Only 1 of the 4 face-facing vents is blowing hot air). Thanks!
That's bizarre, I can't think of a good reason a flush would cause the heater core to leak unless you flushed it very high pressure.
My right rear wheel goes too too high over night and tilts the entire vehicle to the left side especially left front. I've just replaced the front block valve but the issues continued. I went just now and kept hearing a click sounds and seems like the rear right is continuing rising. What do you think it could be?
Are the front and rear valve block the same part/number?
They are different part numbers but look identical, just to be safe I'd recommend getting the correct part number for front/back.
I see so many videos and tha Liquid never chang Color only change when you put it by the muffler that means the liquid change Only wen you have a visible problem On the head gasket That Tool is no good.
I have always used the hammer trick to remove the fan clutch nut, the impact needs to be at 90 degrees of the tool, not inwards towards the nut, it has always worked for me, looking at your video after replacing the idle pulley and water pump to obtain the belt routing diagram, thank you for posting this video, very helpful.
Again clean thx u!
Clean Video man appreciate it!
I took to the mechanic they told me it’s a my valve cover and I have a coolant leak yet I see no leak and my coolant tank level stay the same.. I just replaced my coolant tank revisor put new coolant in and it’s all good. I have a bad coolant sensor. I feel I am being scammed. Any advice? I really am trying to get by as it is.
A valve cover gasket usually will cause an oil leak but not a coolant leak, maybe they were talking about a head gasket leak. You can test the head gasket pretty easily and cheaply using this vid: ruclips.net/video/wcDe2QYN8As/видео.html. If the coolant isn't dropping and isn't milky looking you're probably alright. A faulty coolant reservoir float is EXTREMELY common, you can replace just the coolant reservoir for about $50, I also have a video for that.
Do you have a video that addresses the blend door fix option? I get great heat on passenger side and little/no heat/colder air on driver side.
4:16 seems failed gasket no? Mine looks like that. It’s not that blue
Hi, I have a Range Rover sport super charged 2008, I got the compressor replaced . When driving is is perfectly fine except that I feel the suspension is a little hard. But when parked for few hours it says on one side. Seems like one side is going down but the other is lifting up. When I turn the ignition it stabilises somewhat but after it’s out in the drive mode it adjusts again and after a few minutes it gets back to perfect normal. Please help
Where is the Idle air valve?
Great info. My front dropped to the stops during a -9 night. Then back dropped after starting. Compressor just won't run. It's clean as they get. Replace compressor? Front bags ? It's a 12 supercharged full size. Any advice would greatly be appreciated, thanks for your time
Hello hazy.. I got code this morning U0122-87.. any recommendations from where I should start? Thanks love your videos
Great video,, thank you
Hi, I have a 2005 range Rover sport that when left for two days it starts to lower on the nearside rear and then the front nearside follows it making the whole nearside seem collapsed. Could you please tell me If I should start by changing the rear block or change front and rear or even possibly the one in the middle or the front and rear blocks, the same and he is the one in the middle different. I would appreciate any help you could give me thank you very much RJ
Best video yet of this system.
Hey looking for some info. I’m testing a diesel for head gasket failure. Mine didn’t turn yellow but it turned kinda greenish blue like at 4:16. I tested it on exhaust and it turned yellow so I know it works. Is it possible I have a very small head gasket leak since it turned a little greenish. Said in instructions if it turns yellowish green then it fails but mine is greenish blue.
You may have a small leak but nothing large enough to require a new head gasket just yet. It should really stay the same blue as it started, any color change isn't ideal.
From my experience- the Achilles heel is that the air dryer cracks between the two air lines. Just replace the air dryer. $30. And 1.5 hours
Thank you for the video. Question: why did you use the green coolant and not the orange (dexcool)?
It's been the green universal coolant since I bought the car 10 years ago so I just kept it the same, but the OEM is dexcool. Dexcool is probably ideal if available.
Gotcha. I think I didn't realize green was universal. Good to know. Thank you @@HazyJay
Follow-up question: have any tips for removing the two heater hoses? I tried and tried to squeeze those tabs, but the hose would NOT release and I am afraid of pulling too hard and breaking the plastic part.
What causes the water pump to make noise while the engine is on?
Hey Hazy, how are you finding the ride quality with VAP springs? I really want to lower mine (2017 AWD R) for the look but super worried about compromising the ride quality.
@@iaincarr6898 Ride quality with VAP is about the same, clearance is less so you'll have to dodge obstacles more often though.
Just about to do mine so great video. Will comment on how it goes
Hi Great Video. I am about to do mine. What is the red insert that sits under the top mount and on top of the spring for the front shock absorber (4:21 on video)? I don't see it on any diagram or exploded view of the shock absorber
Found it, its the coil insulator and mine need replacing
My 2016 range rover sport right side sag overnight, any idea what is the cause of it?
I have a 2016 Range Rover Sport my right side on both Wheels on the right, losing height during the night?
C1A68-1C. C1A04-78. C1A13-64. C1A36-01 these ara my RLM fault codes. What should ı do? 2011 l322 3.6 tdv8
Great video. Do you have a vid showing how to replace the sensors ?
I bought the two-level tester....however, what happens is that the liquid from the top-chamber gets sucked into the lower-chamber, and the pump barely works, it takes about 30-40secs to pump up...eventually the liquid in the lower chamber changes colour and gradually so does the liquid the in the top-chamber...I don't know why this is how it's meant to work..
Awesome video. Wondering if all 4 corners go down at the same time (after disconnecting fuse/battery), could reservoir valve block could be the culprit?
My 2011 air compressor keep running every 5 to 10 minutes no fault codes no leak detected what can cause that? Any idea?
any help got a c1130-66 (af) and this morning air spring supply to-many transitions, she was sitting fine though wiped it with a gap iid, left for twelve hours all still sitting fine got in drove it no problems still sitting correctly changed the modes up and down again all working fine sprayed the bags top and bottom for leaks nothing ? so think this mite be a fluke or is it gonna come back with a valve problem or bag? only thing i have noticed over the last twelve months is the bags when going up and down have become very noisy like crinkling sound when raising and lowering while i got this code i also got a u3000-13 (28) control module failure warning which i also wiped and never came back on any help would be great
Thanks for all the videos ..help savings 💵 ...Do you have anything on flashing Faulty emergency parking break light. Thanks...
You can check the fuse (FL8) under the hood, if that's normal, then you'd have to check the wiring of the module by the right rear wheel. You can also try just unplugging the battery for 10 minutes to reset some stored values and see if that fixes it.
Brother mine is the driver side do I do same method? Watching from Texas
Yes, the drain is identical on the driver side and drains at the same place 👌👌
@ thank you brother I will work on this tomorrow as I’m off
