Hi, first of all thank you for an amazing job that you do with your channel. Very helpful, funny and interesting videos. I want to share my experience with front valve. If you decide to change orings of solenoids with repeair kit, please double check a very very small metal ring that is placed on each tube between the end of tube that goes into the valve and the thread. It's movable and its shape suggest that it wedges the tube when thread is srewed in. It is not added to any repair kit. Mine was cracked and that was the reason of leak, so the leak was not in the valve but on the thread. I also recommend using pfte tape to seal thread, it gives nice additional oring, instead of glue. Cheers
Nice easy video of how to rectify this front valve block o ring replacement. well done.
You disserve such a bigger audience man .. keep up the work it will pay off
Greetings from Russia! Very nice supply! )
Thank you and good luck!
Good video mate but please invest in a set of axle stands. A skimpy little jack like that won't hold if your swinging on something in the future. Don't be the guy who finds out what a discovery 3 feels like when it lands on him.
Yeah good call mate... I did treat myself at Christmas to a new Jack and stands. Thanks for supporting my channel 👍
Yea never rely on one jack I always have three jack, Two axel stands, and I even put my palet trolley under with blocks. Many years ago I was nearly crushed by a triumph 2000, it slid off jack, big wake up call. Disco is much heavier.
For INSIDE info and cool car pics follow WIMPY on INSTAGRAM!! @wimpybrothers DOIT!!!😉
wow that's help a lot my lt3 have same problem just like yours.now i know how to fix that.
That's a cheeeep fix! Great work Wimpy.
Cheeeep is goooood!!
Man your videos are great you deserve a bigger audience, keep at it, about to do an EPB video myself but won't be half as entertaining as yours 🤙
I appreciate that! Thanks mate... Good luck with your EPB repair and hope to see the video, all the best
Very good to repair my Disco!
Thanks again! Just did front struts and while that helped a lot still a bit saggy up front. Going to to take a run at this - Cheers!
You are really good man. Thanks.
Very good video and I learned to save money. I have lr3 and having this issue
The reason why you are getting all that white gunk and failure on the actuator is because you need to service your air dryer filter on the compressor if you can do this and do a video on showing us how to do it that would be much appreciated💪💪and it’s only cheap and pretty straightforward to do ,,,,, I have done lots and lots of research and this is one of the main things to change to stop it messing up everything else ,the particles in filter breakdown and then go into the lines I’ve even heard a rumour from a friend who knows somebody where the little white filter part that keeps the balls in place broke down so much that all the balls got pumped through the air lines not good at all 🥶🥶, thanks 🙏 love the videos mate 😎
What a legend !!!!! Love the content ❤
Great video mate. I’ve just subscribed. Keep saving our pockets.
Nice job... keep it up!!
Thanks, will do!
holy molly :) i thought you had way more subs :) good job ! nice edditing and straight forward !
Thanks Vlad Man! Welcome, and I really appreciate your support and vote of confidence 👍👊🏻
What codes did you have, we keep getting thr suspension service light come on (typically on motorway).
Just had it read as, C112F and C1130.
I believe the front n/s left, is sometimes say 1cm lower than the other.
great vid! can you ut up the ebay link for the O rings?
the inbetween dancing during "work" got me to subscribe...
bro- any link to those parts you bought though???
Wash everything with hot soap and water, reassemble using Mercedes sun roof grease, dont over tighten and it'll be like NEW ! My father would say whenever he worked on his classic Mercedes. I miss him.
Well said!!! lovely comment...Your father was a wise man... I need to get me some Mercedes Sunroof grease
Great video! Subscribed.
useful video.... 1 suggestion, less talking, more working.... plz
I think that they also recommend that you change the pipe connecter (Voss) seals after removing them but I didn't when I did the back and the front on mine..
Yeah, I used a new Loctite product for air seals when I installed mine. Seemed to do the Job
I didn’t either , seems fine to me
There were three studs when you took it apart but only two when you put it back together. ???
Sorry new to this when you was putting it back on you used a liquid on the ends what was it? All I could see it said was s77 but maybe well off. Thanks
HDC light along with ABS and brake was the cause of bad valve block? I have the errors come on intermittently and front sits a little lower over night. Looks like all the lights went out after replacing block seals?
Thanks for the Video!
I have the same issue? I have HDC light along with the ABS and break. You think replacing the block seals would fix that issue? ( Also front suspensions are little bit lower than the rear if I parked overnight. )
Replace ur battery it will fix the HDC and ABS and brake light
Really good informative video just subscribed even though your steering wheel is on the wrong side 🙄
Its a good idea to put the wheels under the LR if you do not have proper supports.
Ace vids man I just wish you’d look at the camera.
Is this the same process and airlock location for an LR4?
Great vid as usual Was this showing a suspension fault after driving for about 20 minutes
Hi, I have a discovery 4, isnthe valve block in the same place? Also are the repair kits for 3 and 4 the same?
Did we see a cheeky glimpse of the new Wimpy wagon right at the end brother. 🤔😉
You did indeed... a quick flash 👍 😉
Axle Stands, DO IT!
Great video, it really helped me as I had the same issue. I managed to just clean the old O rings and refit them, which was enough to stop them leaking. Your video helped when I suddenly forgot what pipe went where, when I was refitting the valve block, so thanks for that!
Best to educate the audience the size wrench and such used.
Yeah... good call
Nice
Great content. Any links for the seals please
Nice vídeo
Just come across your post, brilliant, as doing mine this weekend. One question what did you use to clean the insides. Thanks and now subscribed. Great posts👍
Wimpy we miss you man!! Hope you're planning on coming back? Either way I hope you and your family are all ok 👍
Great video and straight forward fix! Any idea what the issue might be if the suspension sags on one side; passenger side for instance??
Normally a dip on one side points to a leak in the airbag itself... the valve block delivers the gas to both sides. So from there is the air line and the bag. Is there a fault with the line or airbag shock it’s hard to say?? Not always easy to diagnose. Some say try spraying soap liquid to find the air hole?? I’ve never tried it tho. Hope this helps?? And thanks for supporting the channel 👍👍🙏🏻
cool thanks but where did you get the rubber rings (gasket) ?? i am from sweden
Awesome video, got my sub
Thanks 🙏🏻 mate!! Appreciate your support and taking the time to comment... welcome to the channel aka the brotherhood 👍
@@WIMPYbrothers thanks, i own an 06 Land Rover Lr3, and im constantly working on it...and your video is funny but straight to the point lol
They are not easy cars to work on!! I’ve done a few LR3 repair videos. I really liked the car I just wish it didn’t break all the time 😂
@@WIMPYbrothers right lol, one question, how do u actually fix a fault traction reduce....my car seem to wanna drift on it own...
Not sure mate!! There is a good Facebook group about LR3 problems follow this link and join, they are really helpful 👍 facebook.com/groups/2096754473881383/?ref=share
I have an intermittent suspension fault but it seems that the compressor is not always turning on but it has been replaced in the last 2/3 years. Wondering if a leaking valve block could be causing my issue.
Thanks for the video! My air compressor work only around 15-30 sec and it stop and the suspension light go on in the dash!
My compressor is new.
Anyone have a idea what it could be?
Hole in air suspension reservoir
@@tymofii4034 thanks i will look at it
Hi and thanks for sharing. What type of loctite do you apply on the tube connections?
Thanks for video. Do you know if the valve block can cause the compressor not to come in? I'm having this issue.
Not sure mate but I recommend that you Join a Group on Facebook called. Land Rover LR3 technical information. They are awesome at answering tech problem questions etc 👍
Mines doing that too! Compressor not turning on-this after the front has been sagging a bit. Now it’s on bump stops. Compressor is not coming on. Suspension Fault message comes on after 8 or so seconds when cracking it up. Thoughts??
Could that have been accessed by taking headlight out could see the back of the headlight
Ottimo video! Dove hai acquistato i kit oring?
What are you applying @09:54? I'm considering buying a Discovery 3 but i don't really want to have to become a rent boy because the car has bankrupted me. Do you think its worth a go? I'm not a DIYer but the 3 vids you've . so far don't seem to difficult. Also from you're experience what are the main problems I can look forward to and the costs to get them sorted. Good vids and I you've got me as a new subscriber.
In honest, I hated my Disco 3 as it was just too many problems and because of the size and rust it was not nice to work on. I’d never get another. Lesson learnt so I then got a Disco 4 and it was Great. I was able to find a nice one and less rust made all the difference. The size makes them difficult to work on as you need some hefty tools etc. Invest the money when buying not in repairs. Is my advice... and the product is Loctite anti air and water leak. 👍
Cheers for the info. Looks like I'm gonna have to do some more saving and get myself a side hustle to get myself a Discovery 4...I hope the rent boy lifestyle is kind to me. Have a blessed day.
Buy a Toyota.
If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford a Land Rover….
@@Himoutdoors ahhh...ain't that the truth.
Hi. I think I have a similar issue. As soon as I park my lr3 the front suspension starts slowly dropping evenly on both sides till it hits the bumpstops. I can hear short bursts of air being vented somewhere a short hiss and then stops about a minute later it does it again. Is this the valve leaking back into the system then being vented out? Great video.
How long did it take you? Thinking of doing all 3 of mine plus servicing the air compressor
Any recommendations for a good Web Forum or Facebook page for Disco 3/4s? Having a few weird issues with mine!
Yep... facebook.com/groups/2096754473881383/?ref=share
Did you do the rear valve block as well?
Would you know where the valves for the rear are located on the L322 4.4 ? I can’t seem to find a definitive answer online and don’t want to take apart the wrong side.
What is that liquid applied to Jose connections?
It's a Loctite product for air and water threads to prevent any leaks. LOCTITE 577 is the name
Nice video bro, what is the song playing around 5.30 min
I have the same problem I think (I hope) with my discovery 3. Is that valve still located in the same place on a right hand drive? I have bought the seals and I will be doing this hopefully it sorts my problem out.
I think so mate?? Although I’m not sure 🤔... good luck with getting it fixed 👍
@@WIMPYbrothers no worries mate cheers. Keep the videos coming
@@paulbarker3786 did this fix yours ?
Nice video…but why would you pull up when loosening wheel nuts? You are going to pull your back out one day! Use gravity…always 👍
Didn't you forget to put the centre pin back in the unit, when you closed it it only had two in.
It’s in the other half already... the centre valve doesn’t hold like the others
Ahaaa thought it was a test😄
Have you seen the X LIFTER?
13:10 Reassembly. Are you missing something?
轮眉内衬可以不用拆,只拆掉轮眉就可以拿出分配阀
What happened to the central valve
btw were you missing 1 cylinder when reinstalled?
No, it’s in the other half of the block already... as that one is spring loaded i found it easier that way to get the two blocks to seal better. 👍
What was the burgoo that you put on the pipes before refitting?
It’s a new Loctite product for air or water threads to give a good seal... i use it on my air compressor guns etc
Thanks for the Sub mate 👍👍
@@WIMPYbrothers oh right, do mind if I ask which one it is there's lots of applications is 290? Cheers
LOCTITE 577... sorry for the delay
Just a scissor jack? No axle stand? Terrifying!
You seem like a perfectly nice guy, however.. people are looking for solutions, not banter.. and how did you diagnose that this was the issue..
please DO tell me that you are NOT relying on the LR jack whilst working on your 2.7 tonne guillotine
Great vid, can you please post the links of ebay

Interesting video, informative! But please lose the "LETS DO IT" 👍
Did you put it all back together without the centre valve fitted 🤫
I Will like and subscribe. BUT. please please please stop looking at yourself in your view screen on your camera and address the audience into the lens directly. Thanks. 👍😁
Yeah that was actually one of my first videos although it was uploaded late on, but it’s definitely something I’ve been work on. Thanks for your support 👍
Yesterday our Bo's Car was just shoot and fail even to start the engine
Could this be the issue on my 07 RRS supercharged? Rear passenger side always sinks below easy access height when not driven for 24hr or so
I believe if you see just one corner drop then it’s the shock bag leaking or the hose connector? The valve block issue normally has either the front or back drop. I could be wrong but that’s how I understand it 🤔
It may well be, I’ll do a spray test. I’ve taken it to three mechanics here in Manila and they can’t work it out.....sometimes I actually catch it in progress....I hear the solenoid valves fire when parked and watch it go down a little in that one corner. This happens every few hours until it bottoms out.....
Great videos by the way, I have subscribed
I did replace the ride height sensor already, but still happens
Throw that scissor jack away before it kills you😅
7:40 aka a "ping f*ckit" :-)
I cannot believe this person is trusting a scissor jack to support a land rover!!!!
I can’t believe Land Rover supplied said scissor jack to said guy… it’s not your average scissor jack. Plus seeing is believing my friend 🤔😉
Isn't one missing
It does look that way but no... When putting the valve back together it is best to insert the middle valve into the other half first??? if that makes sense? It looks like it is not there but it is already situated into the housing. Well spotted tho and thanks for watching
@@WIMPYbrothers thanks tor the reply, I'm planning on doing mine soon, cheers
You do know your hat’s on backwards.....turn that bad boy around.....
you must have a dead wish. Using that jack on gravel without a stand. I would not go near that with out stands. 2 ton of LR on you
