Thank you, Karla. I love a quote from Einstein: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." I can rarely fulfill it, but It's an inspiration! Cheers!
Marek, thank you for the time and skill you have bought to this. It has gone to several clients of mine to help them understand why I have been working with their ankles and hips!
Thank you, Gillian. I can totally relate. So many of our clients get so surprised when we work far away from the area of injury or a problem. That is why the world needs the Feldenkrais Method and professionals like you! As a side note: the human knee joint is vulnerable as it is basically a hinge that is trapped between highly mobile joints of the hip and ankle/foot. Perfecting movements of the entire kinetic chain is needed to improve this local joint.
thank you so much if was very helpful I finally understood why my ankle has collapsed, through turning of the hip. I broke my ankle, had surgery, and in order to walk i put all the weight on the other foot and the hips made a slight inward turn. As a result it increased the pain of the ankle. One thing leading to another. So lots of thanks
Hi again. I replayed your video again to apply what you are saying on my case. I have scoliosis my torso tilting to the left. my right hip shifting to the front while looking to the left, but also my pelvis shifting to the right and the left foot pronating(collapsing to the inside), my inner left knee has pain over the last few months. its exactly as you were descripting in you video but the opposite direction.
Yes this makes complete sense and is exactly what's going on for me which spirals me into not moving and spiraling down into pain. Can you recommend any good Feldenkrais exercises to recover from this pattern please?
Marek, This is excellent. You explain these connections so clearly. I also enjoyed your video about cleaning/moving your grill on the patio …showing Living Feldenkrais practice. Any in person 3 day workshops in the future?
Glad it was helpful! We are thinking of re-starting 3-day PTCEU workshops, but they will most likely begin in 2023. Fingers crossed. Thank you, Melisa.
Interesting and very informative. I find my pelvis turns very slightly to the right. Perhaps if I correct this I will get less knee soreness. Thank you.
Thank you Marek for this excellent lesson about knees & how to observe their connection to the other parts of the body. Really clear & helpful!!!
I am glad you found it useful, Rachel!
This makes so much sense!! I am a nurse and you make this so understandable for the layperson. Thank you.

Thank you so much for these concreet clarifications.

Thanks for sharing! Quite often the position of the pelvis affect the way we use our knees. All our best.
Mine goes out instead of in.
