I tend to conclude that everything that makes the chest softer and better organized will improve the knee function (or pain). For the knee itself: avoiding twisting and sheering forces under load is also a good idea. Great video, very relaxing atmosphere ! :-)

    Hi, Lori,
Thanks so much for this exercise. It not only helped my knee but had unintended consequences. I had a very painful bruise on my right calcaneus and had been going to a number of doctors and physical therapists - 33 visits at last count - with some minor relief. After doing this exercise, the pain was reduced to almost nothing. I can now walk without pain to my right heel. Thank you again!

    Hi Lori,
i'm 53 and i've got a torn medial meniscus and thnk of operating it to prevent further deterioration. would you reccomend to abstain from operation and just do this one drill or is there any other drill for that condition? many thanks for your thoughts....

I think you should get an x-ray of your knee in standing. If your joint space is preserved, you should exhaust your non-surgical options prior to meniscectomy, including Feldenkrais. You will find regular PT to be disappointing. Check out both these posts, and you should be able to decide for yourself to perhaps find a Feldenkrais practitioner before you submit to surgery. www.thefeldenkraiscenter.com/blog/2014/1/7/knee-surgery-not-effective-for-knee-pain-relief
