Any thoughts about the monkey footage? I reckon it's amazing. My arm gets sore holding the camera still to capture the takeoff or slat retraction for 10 minutes.
It takes a very very patient and dedicated person to film wildlife! I vaguely remember watching something years and years ago of a setup in Africa somewhere where the person was basically in this cage/hut thing, fully camouflaged, for hours and hours, in the heat, filming lions I think??? And some days he'd have a couple of minutes worth of footage only. Crazy! But these people can spend months in the wilderness. So hats off to them... especially when you get footage like the monkey jumping into the river!
You know things are getting back to normal when there's Paul Stewart and Bunnik uploading flight reviews! It's been a minute, I can't wait to get back up there soon. Enjoy your trip mate.
Good to see you back in the air and on a long haul flight Paul - all the best to you on your travels and here's to things truly getting back to normal!
Adding that music when you changed into the PJ's was sheer brilliance - your wry sense of humor is one of the things I like most about your videos on top of being plain informative.
Flying DFW-SYD business in three weeks and can't wait! It's been three years since I've been back to Aus to see family, so it's going to be pretty emotional experience stepping on a Qantas plane again
Good to see you back Paul. QF product looks good I’m sure as the world gets back on its feet the service levels will improve. Good content as usual and great to see you flying again. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers.
Paul so good to see you and your videos again! It has been a long time. Great video my friend. Looking forward to coming down to Sydney in the future. Stay healthy and safe.
Nice video. I chose to fly on Qantas on my way to Australia and back in order to watch my wife compete on one of the U.S. teams at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. It was a class act all the way especially when I checked in for my flight back to the U.S. when the nice lady at check-in didn't charge me anything for the excess baggage I had after my wife loaded me up with all of her dirty laundry since I had to fly back before she did. All I had to do was to mention that I was there to watch my wife compete.
Great to see you back on an international flight. I especially enjoyed the footage of the FJ A330 from the Qantas lounge. Fiji’s economic recovery has thankfully begun but sadly, in many other Pacific countries that also rely heavily on tourism, it has not. I’m looking forward to the rest of your videos from this trip. Cheers.
PAUL.!! Great to see you back uploading videos, I always enjoy your content.. As for my opinion on Qantas business class I honestly couldn't give one as I've never left Australia only flown domestically. Which is a little sad I know
Awesome Video! It is good to See you flying again after Covid.... Here in Europe we have the next Problem.... Thank you very much, Paul, for sharing your Video with us.
Hey glad to see that your international trip reports are back now that foreign travel restrictions are gradually being lifted. Really enjoy ALL your reports. Welcome back!
Hello Paul, you’re back! Great! I have missed your video’s. I have COVID-19 so I am at home seeing video’s all day long hihihi. Greetings from the Netherlands🇱🇺👋
Great to see you back on the international routes mate. The local stuff you've been doing between lockdowns has been good, but business as usual is better. You're the best in the business (sorry Dennis)
Flew the reverse Fort Worth to Sydney a few years ago. Was so relieved to get on a QANTAS flight after using atrocious domestic US airlines and going home.
Yes, trip reviews out of Australia are back! A great package, Paul, hope it’s the start of several 2022 reviews. I didn’t think Fiji Airways operated A330s out of SYD, only A350s. ✈️
Great to see your flight videos again Paul, happy flying!!! I remember you were asking about the PCR test, where did you eventually do it from? I remember you said you did it a day before in this video.
Hi Paul. I agree , it's amazing to think people can travel such distances in one leg !. The food looked quite tasty. I bet you're glad to be travelling overseas again !🧡
Brilliant to see you back and looking forward to more excellent content. Great shirt by the way. Is it the same one that Mr Bunnik bought at Helsinki airport?
Great to have you back in the air Paul with your great video footage and interesting commentary - always good to hear the spooling up of engines in preparation for the 14.5 hour flight to Dallas. Description of the on-board culinary delights leaves one salivating in anticipation! Well done. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for the upload. The reason I’ll pay the extra every time for business over economy in long haul is the ability to get a decent sleep. I love waking up and seeing that there’s only 2 maybe 3 hours before landing. Food and service are great but it’s the flat bee that’s my no.1 priority. Couldn’t care less about IFE., always take a good book.
Nice to see you could get a seat because after six weeks of waiting hours for the phone to be answered on numerous calls to customer service and being told it would be fixed but wasn't and the promised callbacks not coming either we still do not have tickets or conformation for our flights to LAX in two weeks time using our Qantas pass. Here is a good one, the customer service operator in FIJI says her changes that will fix it will be sent to the ticketing office in NEW ZEALAND but it will take FIVE DAYS. QANTAS THE NATIONAL CARRIER? A TOTAL MYTH!!
Great to see you back in the skies mate, especially on a long haul overseas route. Really enjoyed the vid and it was awesome to see what a strom looks like from above, something I always enjoy. One thing I couldn't agree with you more is the importance of air vents, they are an absolute necessity! Anyhow, safe travels and I look forward to your upcoming reviews.
I envy you Paul because I'm still locked in my house not having the chance to fly yet, but this was definitely a great review especially with the wonderful service you've experienced in Qantas from Australia to Texas, especially with you being among the people supporting the return in travel demand! Anyway, if you had the chance to plan a trip to Europe one day, (specifically London, whenever that may be), I'd suggest you to fly American, United, or Delta from Sydney to London Heathrow and compare how it's like to fly between Australia and the UK with a stopover in an American airport and compare it with transiting in a Middle Eastern hub. Enjoy your trip in Texas and the rest of America!
Hi Paul, it's great to see and hear that you are out and about again. I do feel airlines are doing things on the cheap and standards have dropped a little. Looking forward to your next review. Kind regards DS
Its damn awesome to see an international flight from Australia. Think we've been holed up for far too long and many (like me) are now afraid to venture overseas. I shall live vicariously through your videos!
Was great to see Ryan. But after 2 years of being locked in this little travel junkie booked a trip to Europe in August as soon as hotel quarantine lifted. Flying BC on, Qantas, Emirates, Turkish Air. Will be interesting to see how they compare. The only fear I have is catching covid just as we are about to leave and not being able to fly. That week we will be staying at home. Yes the hotel prices have gone through the roof. We have a stopover in Singapore. Hotel we normally stay in has gone up $150 a night. What's even worse, is due to social distancing most Singapore hotels have an hour limit on using the pool and you have to book it. First world problem I guess.
Howdy Paul and welcome to Texas. I grew up on a ranch that was purchased to build DFW Airport. Great memories but ranching was not my life plan, and it was good for my parents to move on to another spot in Texas. Glade to see you traveling again.
Nicely put together as usual Paul. Definitely prefer manual windows shades. Is there still a 1 hour gap between courses? Very jelly and looking forward to living vicariously thru ur updates here and on IG 😂
Great to see international travel back thank you for sharing! If you make your way east to Boston let me know I’d love to meet you in person and show you historical sites
Qantas "We now have the technology to fly you around the world nonstop 15 miles above the earth. Gourmet food, drink, and your seat turns in to a bed. Enjoy the 21st century!" PS "Wait, no wifi?" Qantas 😑 😂 Awesome video Paul! When I flew to Germany back in 1990 I used the air phone (mounted to the seat in front of me) to call back to the States. It was like $10/minute but worth the cost just to say I did it! Thanks for sharing the video and the 787. Its amazing how the comforts of flying have progressed. Its like an RV with wings! On a side note, I could never be a nature videographer, I'd have zero patience waiting for the monkey to jump!! :)
It's good to see your flights again Paul and heading out can't be too far away for the rest of us as well. I'm guessing you're a doctor and that this is mentioned on your boarding pass unless your name is Paul Doctor Stewart.
Any thoughts about the monkey footage? I reckon it's amazing. My arm gets sore holding the camera still to capture the takeoff or slat retraction for 10 minutes.
