Can't believe James White wasn't mentioned in the SB 51 part. Brady was obviously good that game (well, the second half), but White should've won MVP. One of the best Super Bowl performances ever.
Aaron Donald should have won the Super Bowl MVP this year. He was the reason that team won the game more than anyone else. He had the biggest impact on that game.
102 yards on 21 carries (almost 5 yards per carry) and a TD, no turnovers, in a game where owning 40 minutes of the clock won the Giants the game is a D+? Sure Thomas was more talented, but Anderson lead drives of 9+ minutes by constantly moving the chains on the ground. I'm not saying it's an A, but it's better than a D+.
@@RicardoAGuitar Fine, I'm not arguing he didn't. Thomas played phenomenal, but he lost. Anderson was still a HUGE part of the Giants' offense and strategy of dominating the clock and he played very well himself. Lesser performances were given better grades.
The weirdest thing about that Super Bowl is that it is incredibly underrated as a well played game. No turnovers on either side. Not that many flags. Both teams played their style on offense. Playmakers made plays. Very well coached game. A backup, game manager QB played mostly mistake free, including several huge 3rd down completions and a big TD right before the half. But it's remembered for exactly one thing and that thing doesn't fit that narrative.
For Super Bowl 41 the MVP should’ve been Colts Safety Bob Sanders who had a Forced Fumble and Int. Both of which were huge plays that got the Colts extra opportunities on Offense.
Prior to getting to the SB, Flacco's playoff run was memorable and rather bizarre on a few levels so getting SB MVP makes sense though it should've went to Jacoby Jones. Not complaining tho, a win's a win
1 catch for a 56 yard td, and a fumble should have gotten super bowl mvp? Lol what? Flacco had 3 tds 0 pics. Also was not bizarre, Flacco was dominant in playoffs in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
Kupp should have gotten a better rating. He was legit getting triple teamed at points and still managed to carry the offense when it mattered the most. Absolute animal
They jumped the gun and awarded Dexter Jackson MVP before the end of the game. Almost exactly after they announced it, Dwight smith had his second pick six of the game. He probably would have won MVP if they waited until the game was over

Malcolm Smith really peaked in that one Super Bowl and just became forgotten immediately
So….Terrell Davis 150 yards 3 TDs gets the same grade as Eli in SB42? Wtf?
I actually agree with it, Eli beat goliath with clutch throws and memorable moments.
@@ryanallen9830 yeah so they should both be in the A range
It’s really because Eli beat Brady ,and we know this guy really hates Brady
@@ryanallen9830 TD playing with no sight and a migraine on top of huge stats. That’s A+.
Absolutely Ty Law should have got MVP over Brady in Super Bowl XXXVI. I've said that for years. The Pats defense won that game.
Facts
Larry Fitz was 45 seconds away from getting a SB MVP and ring😭
The greatest playoff performer of all time never got the hardware he deserved 💔
that shit pisses me off forever
The Super Bowl MVP award is meaningless until Kirk Cousins wins it
you know he never plays good when the game is being watched by more than 20 people
White deserved the 51 MVP, he carried the team in the 4th quarter
Fr without White, the pats lose.
White had like 14 catches and the GW touchdown run. He definitely should’ve been MVP.
Barry your standards are too high for RB efficiency...if an RB can average a first down every three carries and sustain that for ~30 carries/~150 yards, that alone will win you the game most of the time, especially in previous eras. Can't ask for much more than that
Barry Kudos to you for being able to accurately grade Brady’s accomplishments notwithstanding your undying love for the guy. Originally I said to myself here we go again and notwithstanding the constant flow of derogative commentary the grades were pretty much on point and in line with other grades that were given to other recipients of the trophy. I know you will never reconcile with the guy but I had to salute the effort of being objective in your grading and ignoring how you feel about the player.
as theqbschool just pointed out yesterday, nfl quarterbacking is easier in every non personnel aspect... close hashes make short passes really really easy
but then u factor in the talent of defenses... qbschool didn't say that exactly, but it's implied
Barry PLEASE troll somebody again. Let us all relive your prime again
Fax
I will stand by the fact Brady is the luckiest QB to ever live and his success will never be replicated.
But he took advantage of those opportunities when they where given to him
Brady is that guy that found 6 silver dollars and knew to sell them on the internet instead of buy a burger with them to get multiples times the worth in profit.
“No offense to Michael Vick” absolutely fucking sent me
Barry sneaking in that past tense verbage on Rodgers lmao
No brainer selection no offense to Kim kardashian 😂
What.
They should have an MVP on offence and defence, Donald and kupp both were invaluable in the game
Shout out to Jake Delhomme in Super Bowl 38. Threw for 3 TD’s no picks and 323 yards in a game where the panthers just came short in a loss that wasnt his fault
Yep and people still give him shit like it was. I’m a Pats fan and that dude did everything he could to will that team to victory.
Doug Williams deserved that MVP but so did Timmy Smith he still holds the rushing record for a SB with 204 yards.
Malcom Butler should have won mvp for that goal line pick alone. I don’t care how well anyone played. That play won the game on its own in the craziest winning play in any game ever, let alone the Super Bowl
The "let's start voting for MVP the instant the coin flip is over" nonsense is, indeed, quite stupid.
Sure but his pick means nothing if Brady doesn’t throw 4 TDS
@@nickwright4079 and Brady’s 4 TDs don’t mean anything if Butler doesn’t pick that ball off because it’s a TD (or very likely one as there’s always the chance a WR drops a pass) if Butler doesn’t play it perfectly. Though I also don’t like giving an MVP nod for a game over a single play, even if that play is very hard to top due to how crucial it was at the time.
Malcom smith won super bowl mvp then never did anything of note again
4:24 made me laugh so much
this is a certified hood classic
Great video, btw video idea:
A video on how ridiculous it is to compare Lebron leaving Cleveland to Miami vs KD’s OKC to Golden state situation. I see it so much in basketball circles and when you apply context to it, it’s not even remotely close .
Those people will never understand the difference unfortunately
Jacoby Jones in 2012. That kick return for a TD caused them to have to turn out the lights to try and beat them.
Imagine having two pick 6's in a Superbowl and not being the MVP. Both Malcolm Butler and Brady should of been SB MVP in that game against Seattle cause Brady did dice up the LOB in that 4th quarter.
Great video, Barry. I would love to see your list of biggest bust in nfl history or ranking the worst ref calls in history
His biggest bust would be Tom Brady.
"A classic tom brady performance, he was bad for three qtrs, and then made the plays to win it at the end of the game" this is how I describe Tony Romo and dak Prescott
why? romo and dak don't make the plays to win at the end of the game
@@omar9987 Exactly. Although, I don't agree with the Tony Romo take, Dak Prescott is terrible when the game is close.
@@yonder8287 romo is a choke artist
You’re not wrong. How often does dak lead a GW drive anymore.?
I remember growing up with people saying that Tony Romo was a choker in clutch situations. I also remember absolutely dreading December because that's where potential playoff seasons went to die under Romo
Now grade every nba finals mvp
6:18 That 150.9 passer rating tho
Super Bowl LI I could’ve argued James White:
14 rec, 110 yds, TD (2 rushing TD)
20 pts scored
What an epic run Flacco had, still annoyed he chucked up that interception to New England in 2014...
Well he did put up TWO separate 14 point leads in that game that the defense blew….so there’s that.
Can’t believe you didn’t mention damien williams over mahomes, he literally had 130 all purpose yrds and two very important touchdowns
Agreed, he should have gotten the nod.
Hank Stram's voice should've won super bowl IV mvp, it's 99% of the highlights after all
James White 1000% deserved the SB MVP. Even Brady admitted he deserved to win it over him
Absolutely. When you consider his three touchdowns, that crucial 2pt conversion, and the fact he had over 100 yards receiving, James White was the unsung hero of that game
I don’t think they could do it since brady broke like every passing record in that game
No he didn't lol. That comeback doesn't happen without Brady there's a reason they always give the award to QBs
@@Ultimatecheezeburger Lmfao White broke and tied multiple SB records that game
- Most receiving yds for an RB
- Broke Thomas’ record for most receptions
- Tied record for most TDs along with Terrell Davis
- Tied for most receptions in a game in NFL playoff history (not just SB)
Quit forgetting what non QBs do. Shit like this is why Barry’s channel exists
@@LessGo7921 Lmfao all that shit is volume stats because it went to OT. Brady broke 3 records too so that's a bad argument.
Ty Law definitely deserved MVP. 7 tackles and a pick 6? Rodney Harrison too. Defense mostly gets overlooked anymore.
PEYTON MANNINGS CORPSE LMFAO
For 1 year Joe Flacco was god and it was amazing to watch
I still think the MVP for Super Bowl 53 should have been a punter.
Manny Fernandez should’ve been MVP of SB VII. He had 22 tackles and played the entire game in the Washington backfield
Idk if u done this already but can u grade every regular season mvp 1990-2021
You definitely underrate OJ Anderson and Desmond Howard’s performances. I guess sometimes you have to see the full game and understand the circumstances to appreciate what happened.
I would have given Super Bowl 39 MVP to Terrell Owens. 9 catches 122 yards on one leg? Once in a lifetime performance
How the fuck did Terrell Davis get a b- with 157 yards rushing and 3 tds? gtfo.
These grading vids are my favorite vids of urs, roasting random shit is hilarious every time
🤣🤣🤣 ' fuck the falcons for this ' 😖🤣🤣😖🤣 grade A oh my gah I feel you
I’ll vouch for Super Bowl 12. That game was absolutely DOMINATED by the Dallas Defense.
That’s an A+ there.
Also for Super Bowl 22? Timmy Smith ran for over 200 yards in that one. Probably should’ve gone to the entire offensive line.
I still have nightmares of Marcus Allen destroying my Skins in that Super Bowl
Since I am a total Tom Brady Homer I was interested to see how you would rank him, so I watched this. Soon it became clear you do not like Tom Brady so then I wanted to see how objective you could be. I would like to sincerely congratulate you on you objective, mature, fair and honest assessment of his MVPs. You could've mentioned that he gave Malcolm Butler the truck from his Superbowl 49 MVP, thus making it clear even Brady didn't think he deserved that. Still a fair assessment. I am now subscribed.
He gave James White the truck too
Can't believe James White wasn't mentioned in the SB 51 part. Brady was obviously good that game (well, the second half), but White should've won MVP. One of the best Super Bowl performances ever.
1:16 Chuck Howley may be the only Super Bowl MVP from a losing team, but you can't deny the fact that 2 was his lucky number that day.
Aaron Donald should have won the Super Bowl MVP this year. He was the reason that team won the game more than anyone else. He had the biggest impact on that game.
Yes
Did he though? Kupp carried the offense through quite a bit of the game. I think it was honestly justified to give it to either or both of them.
It wasn't that Thomas was more talented, it's that he played better
That’s why they call you boy instead of man.
Prior to getting to the SB, Flacco's playoff run was memorable and rather bizarre on a few levels so getting SB MVP makes sense though it should've went to Jacoby Jones.
Not complaining tho, a win's a win
@Fries no, it would go to the refs almost every year
So was Rodgers and Eli Manning. All of their SB runs were that of a bottom seed winning the big game.
1 catch for a 56 yard td, and a fumble should have gotten super bowl mvp? Lol what? Flacco had 3 tds 0 pics.
Also was not bizarre, Flacco was dominant in playoffs in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
Do a video on the best player at every position. I’m sure it won’t be controversial at all

@@enervat1on don't forget kick and punt returner.
I have a feeling Barry gave Nick Foles an A+ for beating Brady.
Thurman Thomas should have won the SB 25 MVP even in defeat.
He was the best player on the field that night, and the margin of victory was one point. This was not garbage time stat-padding.
He probably would have won MVP if they waited until the game was over
before super bowl 39: quarterback wins mvp by default no matter what
super bowl 39 onward: receiver wins mvp by default if he has 100 yards
As a cardinals fan I hate Cooper Kupp yet I had him as a fifth rounder in a fantasy of 8 people and think he should’ve been regular season MVP.
When I saw this while walking down a dark alley by myself I let my whole guard down, no offense to Eli Apple
Foles, Legend. A+
as a Pats fan I love how begrudgingly you rate Brady's MVPs, lol
13:14 im dead 😂😂 a piece of gum
4:22 It's nice that Raiders fans and Chiefs fans can now bond over a quarterback having an efficient and turnover-free MVP performance in a Super Bowl victory against the Eagles
I'm just here for TD and Von
I still say Super Bowl 42 MVP should've been Justin Tuck that whole d-line dominated but Tuck was the star performer and didn't let Brady as much as breathe all day
This year's SB MVP gets an F. It should have gone to Johnny Hekker for his insane pass in the big game
Love the research that you put into this. Keep up the great work.
Damien Williams and James White got robbed, I was definitely expecting a mention on those guys
“This is a no brainer….no offense to kim kardashian”
This dude… good dude… good man…
Super Bowl 44 was the best for me.
Love your videos, please make a video on the worst superbowl mvp and which player was snubbed off of it.
I have to keep remembering that McGOATiner has a QB bias lol, he's so much harsher on RBs.
